This place has a line out the door and 45 minute wait on what should be a dead night in downtown, that says a lot. The service was fast, as we didn't wait the full 45 minutes before being seated. Upon walking in you see an upscale modern atmosphere, and date night ambiance. I felt underdressed as usual in my shorts, but was welcomed nonetheless. We ordered the potato fingerlings, because when in Boise you order potatoes. However I wasn't much of a fan, tasted more like grocery store potato wedges. The other appetizer was the meatballs, which is served with a garlic bread I wish I had an entire loaf of. It was really good and though it seems small it was good enough when cut up, maybe it could've done with 1 more meatball and definitely some more bread. For dinner the kid had a half cheese half crispy pepperoni pizza, which of course he didn't like, not like the chain pizza shops he's used to but I had some and it was delicious. He did like the crust, and still ate a couple sliced. I shared a half Bronco, half Honey Badger pizza with the missus. Everything was good, but the honey badger's grilled onions overwhelmed the taste. My favorite was the Bronco which our California transplant server recommended. It had a nice spice to it that hits the back of your throat just enough to wake you up but not enough to have you reaching for a drink. The Wylder is more than just a pizza place. The ambiance is upscale and the staff are friendly. Our waiter gave a an excellent recommendation, which we liked better than what we chose. We started with fingerling potatoes and the meatballs. Both were excellent, although we felt the meatballs had an edge over the potatoes. We ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza for our son and we also ordered a half honey badger, half bronco pizza for us. All the pizzas were amazing but the bronco (also the one our waiter recommended) took the top prize. It had a nice taste and the right amount of spice to it. My husband and I came to the Wylder for dinner. It was very busy the night we came in. We put our name on the wait list and hung out till we were called. We were anticipating a 35 minute wait. We kicked it outside and enjoyed the downtown vibe. I did end up going in to see if there were any bar spots available. I could be totally wrong cause I'm the worst at remembering names. I just remember her pretty shoulder length blonde hair and her beautiful smile. She also normally works in the bar area but was serving tonight cause it was busy. I'm just going to keep calling our server Sophie so that this review stays consistent. Sophie greeted us and got some water started. My husband ordered a Starry so while that was being prepared, we looked over the menu. We were both starving so everything looked delicious! The last time I was in, I had a fantastic salad. Today, I'm ready to try a few things to add to my "I ate it" list. My husband and I got some meatballs, roasted cauliflower and chicken peas, harrisa citrus glazed wings and a Margherita pizza with salami on half of it for dinner. I appreciate that the wings were nicely baked and then grilled. I love me a good char on my food! The harrisa sauce was on the side just in case it was too spicy for my husband. I ate a majority of the wings and I probably could have polished off another plate. They were fantastic! My husband did enjoy his pizza. He's a huge pizza connoisseur and was very impressed with his Margherita. I didn't get a chance to try it since I was stuffed from all our starters. There are 2 slices left and I plan on enjoying it tomorrow. I did have a little room left for dessert of course. My husband decided on the salted caramel ice cream pie. I traveled to Boise for work, and this place was a quick walk from my hotel so I thought I would try it out. I was told 30 minute wait for the table, which I was fine with especially since I didn't want a bar seat. However it was only a 15 minute wait. Service was wonderful. Greeted when I sat down. Not too much attention but also not too little. Location inside was spacious for sure. Food was great. Fingerlings with the lemon aoili was solid. Wings were delicious and messy but wings always are. They had a wet towel ready to go. No little moist toilettes to deal with. The mushroom pizza was delicious. I had a few slices and got the rest to go. Here is where the service was top notch. I went to the bathroom to. Wash up before heading back out. By the time I got back, my pizza box was gone. Come to find out the trainees were over eager and bussed it away. I was ready to honestly just leave it, but one of the workers said they would look for it. While waiting, another came over and said they would make me a fresh one to go. They offered any drink while I wanted, chatted with me while we waited for the pizza to be made, and then ever offered a dessert to go on top of everything. I did not take them up on the dessert offer, but I was so very appreciative at the end. Mistakes were made, but their commitment to service at the end was honestly wonderful and amazing. I had ordered a Margherita pizza but what I got was more like a regular cheese pizza with some torn basil on top. It was just ok. Saturday 6 pm - the wait was 20 min for a table (which was less than the 30 min estimate) and 20 minutes after ordering to get the food. But that was all explained to us, so we were fine with the waits. I don't even like lasagna but because of the hype on the menu, we ordered it - as well as a pizza. The lasagna was definitely the star. It looked terrible on the plate (like it was mostly tomato sauce), but it was so light and delicious! I could not stop eating it. The pizza crust was very good. We thought they added way too many toppings (and forgot one that we asked for) but it was still pretty good. Done with some moderation, it would be excellent. We visited on a busy Friday night and were told the wait would be about an hour, but luckily a few cancellations came through and our table for two was ready in just 30 minutes. The appetizer menu looked incredible, so we decided to share the fingerling potatoes, roasted cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and mushroom toast. Everything arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious, our favorites were the mushroom toast and the fingerling potatoes! For our main, we ordered a half Margherita, half Gem State of Mind pizza (with fingerling potato and caramelized onion). We're not vegetarians, but we somehow ended up with an all-veggie dinner and everything was perfect. The only thing I didn't love was the watermelon mint cooler, which tasted more like juice than a specialty drink, though it was still refreshing. She was attentive, offered recommendations, and pleasant. I ordered the honey badger pizza. Sorry no photo. I called audible based on how popular that pizza appeared to be. It was quite tasty, although did not taste like I had expected. Still cannot pin on why. I would order again. I plan to come back as I frequent Boise. Plan to try some of the other pizzas as well. i wish i had taken pictures of the pizza, but once it arrived to our table we just went to town! i visited my family in meridian back in october 2025. my mom had been talking about the wylder as an option for lunch before my flight out of the boise airport. since she had been raving about it, i didn't bother to look at the menu - an insanely rare occurrence for me. the only negative we experienced was upon first entering. after waiting a few minutes for anyone to address our group of 6, a hostess/waitress walked up to us and said "hi, how can i help you today?". my dad, confused, took a pause to respond "we'd like to eat...". because why else would we be there? most people most of the time are at a restaurant to eat. so that was strange but it gave us a good chuckle. my niece was given some apple sticks and a little activity to occupy her restless energy - she had a blast. we ordered two salads and two pizzas for the table to share. the salads were the buttermilk market vegetable and the everynight salad. these are both very different and very delicious salads. the BMV was made with tender seasonal greens, shaved white cheddar, corn, watermelon radish, and a tangy buttermilk ranch dressing. this salad was an exciting depart from your average house salad. the vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the dressing was delicious and lively. the everynight salad was also exceptional: fresh romaine, pecans, apple slices, and a garlic vinaigrette dressing. this salad was lighter than the BMV and had a great balance of acid and sweet from the dressing and the apples. for pizza, i believe we ordered the yaya with mushrooms added as well as the honey badger. both were insanely delicious! the wood fired crust is wonderfully thin, yet can still support the bevy of toppings; and if you're lucky, the flames will have charred some of the bubbly crust. the honey badger ended up going first - i think the moist dollops of ricotta and sweet, spicy honey help enhance the boldly flavored italian sauce. highly recommend, just make sure you're very clear you'd like to eat. read more

The Yaya Pizza was actually really good, simple with the pizza crust being a fine blend of crunchy and soft. Definitely would recommend for anyone having a hard time deciding. The Wylder is truly a gift to Boise. The first restaurant of the Wylder Group offerings, it continues to shine amongst all the other excellent restaurants shipped by this entrepreneurial couple. I like so much about this place. It's consistently great. I've never had subpar food here. My husband and I always try the seasonal veggie because they do them so well. The last two that stand out were roasted radishes on hummus and crispy acorn squash on goat cheese. Couldn't get enough of either! The menu is tight and concise. A few salads, veggies, entrees and pizza. But all is done well! Recently had the citrus harissa wings and the sour and spicy notes really hit. We've had several pizzas but the Honey Badger continues to be our favorite. The onion, sausage, honey combo crafts a well rounded flavor profile. Could eat this one on the regular. Vibe of the place is chill. Not overly loud but it can get super packed during weekends. It's worth the wait though. Service is competent and attentive.
