My husband and I came to the Wylder for dinner. It was very busy the night we came in. We put our name on the wait list and hung out till we were called. We were anticipating a 35 minute wait. We kicked it outside and enjoyed the downtown vibe. I did end up going in to see if there were any bar spots available. There was but it would have been a tight squeeze so we just hung out till it was our turn. Surprisingly, the hostess told us that we just needed to waited for another couple minutes. Our name was next to get sat. We were finally a table outside. Our little table was perfect for the two of us. I believe our server's name was Sophie? I could be totally wrong cause I'm the worst at remembering names. I just remember her pretty shoulder length blonde hair and her beautiful smile. She also normally works in the bar area but was serving tonight cause it was busy. I'm just going to keep calling our server Sophie so that this review stays consistent. Sophie greeted us and got some water started. My husband ordered a Starry so while that was being prepared, we looked over the menu. We were both starving so everything looked delicious! The last time I was in, I had a fantastic salad. Today, I'm ready to try a few things to add to my "I ate it" list. My husband and I got some meatballs, roasted cauliflower and chicken peas, harrisa citrus glazed wings and a Margherita pizza with salami on half of it for dinner. We were both hungry and ready to eat! And what we all ordered sounded fabulous! The meatballs came out first. 3 hearty meatballs nestled in a generous helping of marinara sauce. It was a great way to start our meal. The bread that was paired with it was the perfect vessel for the marinara sauce. The cauliflower and chick peas was my favorite! Roasted perfectly, the cauliflower and chick peas were so clean tasting and fresh. I loved the citrusy flavor of this dish. I ate the whole plate myself. I appreciate that the wings were nicely baked and then grilled. I love me a good char on my food! The harrisa sauce was on the side just in case it was too spicy for my husband. I ate a majority of the wings and I probably could have polished off another plate. They were fantastic! My husband did enjoy his pizza. He's a huge pizza connoisseur and was very impressed with his Margherita. I didn't get a chance to try it since I was stuffed from all our starters. There are 2 slices left and I plan on enjoying it tomorrow. I did have a little room left for dessert of course. My husband decided on the salted caramel ice cream pie. Ughhhhh this dessert was so good! We polished this whole ice cream pie. It was the greatest combination of sweet and savory. The peanuts added such a great crunch to the ice cream. My favorite was the peanut butter in the middle. A delicious sweet ending to our dinner. I'm happy my husband got to experience the Wylder tonight. I had such a great time for my first visit so it was nice that my husband got one too. Our server was marvelous! The food was remarkable! The setting was so cozy and romantic. It was the perfect setting for our date night. I can't wait to come back for round 2 with my husband.

Came around 5pm on a Tuesday and was immediately sat. It's a beautiful place and our server was friendly. The food was yummy. We shared with our table and enjoyed it all. We had ginger beer which was excellent. The pizza was great but what was most amazing was the Brussels sprouts. Absolutely incredible how they got the flavor in EVERY layer of the veggie. Would recommend!

The hotel staff recommended this place for BEST pizza in Boise. She came from Chicago so we trusted her! It was crazy busy on a Tuesday night, come to find out it's partly because specials on bottle of wine. A pizza AND a bottle of wine only $38! We got the pizza with jalapeno, bacon and also shared salad with citrus dressing. Amazing food and stellar service !

I traveled to Boise for work, and this place was a quick walk from my hotel so I thought I would try it out. I was told 30 minute wait for the table, which I was fine with especially since I didn't want a bar seat. However it was only a 15 minute wait. Service was wonderful. Greeted when I sat down. Not too much attention but also not too little. Location inside was spacious for sure. Food was great. Fingerlings with the lemon aoili was solid. Wings were delicious and messy but wings always are. They had a wet towel ready to go. No little moist toilettes to deal with. The mushroom pizza was delicious. I had a few slices and got the rest to go. Here is where the service was top notch. I went to the bathroom to. Wash up before heading back out. By the time I got back, my pizza box was gone. Come to find out the trainees were over eager and bussed it away. I was ready to honestly just leave it, but one of the workers said they would look for it. While waiting, another came over and said they would make me a fresh one to go. They offered any drink while I wanted, chatted with me while we waited for the pizza to be made, and then ever offered a dessert to go on top of everything. I did not take them up on the dessert offer, but I was so very appreciative at the end. Mistakes were made, but their commitment to service at the end was honestly wonderful and amazing. I will definitely recommend this place again!

The service was fantastic here. They have patio seating which is nice. Our server was funny and friendly and treated us more like a friend than a customer which we liked. I had ordered a Margherita pizza but what I got was more like a regular cheese pizza with some torn basil on top. It was just ok. I had an old fashioned and they made it different from what I'm used to but I really liked it. It had a sweetness to it which I've never tasted before in an old fashioned. Would come back here for drinks but not pizza.

Wait was about 5 minutes so that was lucky. The crust doesn't leave you feeling bloated yet it's still somewhat thick. The cheese also isn't so oily and not of trh ingredients seem to over power anything. They all work together. Nice to have a super good pi, za place that you can still enter in causually.

Lasagna - soooo much better than it looks! I don't even like lasagna and I couldn't stop eating this!

Saturday 6 pm - the wait was 20 min for a table (which was less than the 30 min estimate) and 20 minutes after ordering to get the food. But that was all explained to us, so we were fine with the waits. I don't even like lasagna but because of the hype on the menu, we ordered it - as well as a pizza. The lasagna was definitely the star. It looked terrible on the plate (like it was mostly tomato sauce), but it was so light and delicious! I could not stop eating it. The pizza crust was very good. We thought they added way too many toppings (and forgot one that we asked for) but it was still pretty good. Done with some moderation, it would be excellent. The service was very well orchestrated and they communicated delays, etc. throughout the process - you can tell they are well trained. Note: The spicy honey sauce isn't spicy at all. We heard the people next to us say the same thing. Maybe they should have a regular and a spicy so they could actually have a spicy hot for those who want spicy!

The service was great! Ambiance was outstanding! Very clean welcoming restaurant. Food was great! We were able to get the pizza half and half which was nice for us! The outside patio is spacious and adequate space to have a great comfortable lunch and not sitting too close to another table.

We visited on a busy Friday night and were told the wait would be about an hour, but luckily a few cancellations came through and our table for two was ready in just 30 minutes. The appetizer menu looked incredible, so we decided to share the fingerling potatoes, roasted cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and mushroom toast. Everything arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious, our favorites were the mushroom toast and the fingerling potatoes! For our main, we ordered a half Margherita, half Gem State of Mind pizza (with fingerling potato and caramelized onion). We're not vegetarians, but we somehow ended up with an all-veggie dinner and everything was perfect. The only thing I didn't love was the watermelon mint cooler, which tasted more like juice than a specialty drink, though it was still refreshing. To top it all off, the restaurant was playing 80s music all night - our era! (Yes, showing our age a bit.) Our waitress mentioned the playlist changes often, so we just lucked out. It was the perfect start to our Boise weekend of great food and sightseeing!

Just a pleasant dining experience. We were visiting Boise from out of town and heard the Wylder had great pizzas. (they do!) But there were a few things I did not expect: 1) The wait - make a reservation or come early - it gets packed! But they have a efficient reservation system so it wasn't a big deal 2) The service is exceptional! Our server was kind and very attentive. Couldn't have asked for better service 3) The price - all of the prices are very reasonable. The value you get coming here is exceptional, which is likely why there's a long line. Worth the visit! thank you Wylder!

    Ricotta appetizer

The food is amazing, we visit Idaho every six months and stumbled upon Wylder on our last visit. We came back tonight and went all out we ordered the Ricotta appetizer, the chopped salad, fingerling potatoes, and a pizza, all the food was superb. The food was amazing but the service was phenomenal! Bailey was our server and we couldn't have asked for better service. She is so kind, helpful and has the sweetest personality. Thank you, Bailey for such fantastic service!

Got recommended from a local people. The best pizza in Boise and I definitely agree with that. Sunday dinner , the restaurant is busy and buzzing with people, couples or groups even family. Really great place for everyone. Ambiance is perfect. Service also really great. We started off with non-alcohol drink , refreshing sour and spicy . Then the sangria was also really fruity. Both were great. Must order: Brussels sprouts!!!!!! Butter beans also really good the spices hit the spot. Chicken wings and mushroom toast was good also. But the best was the pizza , OMG ! The best pizza I've had in a long time , compare to the one in Italy . It's think crunchy, light and airy . The plate keep it warm. I definitely recommend any red sauce topping ! Definitely my best restaurant in Boise so far.

    1/2 Bronco + 1/2 Honey Badger

I don't know where to start. We were tourists with jet lag and just ready for some quality food and bed. Our daughter (5) was hangry and we had quite a bit of wait time, but it was well worth it! As soon as we were seated they brought her apple slices to help curb her appetite and Wikki Stix to keep her entertained. The hostess even brought her an extra set to make more creations (so kind)! Our server was excellent too! And the food?! *chef's kiss* Sourdough pizza crust! Quality ingredients! Unique combos! Love love LOVE!!! We also appreciated how they let you split the pizzas 50/50 so we got to try 4 different choices! The best for our foodie hearts! We're not locals, but if we were, this would be a regular spot for us! Delicious food and sincere service! Thanks, The Wylder!

Any update on a gluten-free or cauliflower crust?

I didn't know my dog was making pizza maybe the place next-door?

I noticed organic chicken. Are all of your ingredients organic?

How long is your crust fermented?

Shameka, I think the only way to get the exact answer would be to contact the resturant but Usually it's about 24-36 hours.

Hi! When will you be opening for dine in?

Hi Janelle. We aren't quite sure yet-- possibly June 1st. If you follow us on Instagram, we will be posting updates there.

Do you have gluten free crust?

We do not offer gluten free crust. Our crust is all naturally leavened and made from a 52 year old sourdough starter thought, so many people with sensitivities do well with our crust.

Is this establishment kid friendly do they have high chairs?

Yes. Kid friendly and they have high chairs. Well lit and music not on full blast.

    Hours open for business?

Hi! We are open from 11am- 10pm Tuesday- Saturday, and 11am- 9pm on Sunday and Monday.

From the moment you step inside, the place has that quintessential speakeasy feel. The ambiance is dark, moody, and eclectic, with vintage touches throughout. One feature that really caught my eye was a stunning cove-like structure that added so much character to the space. The menu was just as impressive as the décor -creative, varied, and full of unique cocktails that felt thoughtfully designed rather than your standard bar offerings. They even have a few "secret" drinks hidden on the menu, and the staff will happily tell you how to find them, which is a fun touch.Since another reservation was due to arrive in about 40 minutes, we kept it to two cocktails, which was perfectly fine as we were only stopping in for a nightcap. Both drinks were beautifully crafted. I especially loved The Canvas ,it was bright, refreshing, and memorable. My husband wasn't quite as enthusiastic about his cocktail, though he's generally not one to send a drink back or complain. The staff was warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout our visit. Pricing felt fair for the quality of the cocktails and the overall experience.

The staff is always attentive and impressively knowledgeable about the drinks. This visit, I tried something different--a whiskey sour served over shaved ice. I loved how perfectly chilled it was; the ice kept the drink from becoming overly sweet as it melted. I typically go for more booze-forward cocktails, so this was a fun change for me. A small window in the door opened and we had to provide a password to gain entry. (Initially our large group had to reserve 3 time slots and we would be seated separately.) I was in the first group. We were let into a small area with floor to ceiling bookcases. Of course there was a book that once pulled, opened a secret door to the bar within. The ambiance was dim lighting and groups of comfortable seating areas. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the drinks on the menu. I started with a mocktail that could be made vegan by omitting the egg white. Beautifully presented with a flower design. It was sweet and it was tart. The second drink I got was a cocktail that was smooth with a perfect amount of sweet. My friends got cocktails in their unique glasses. When our next group came through, they were led into a room. After a while, one friend came out to say hello to us. The waiter noticed that we knew each other and told my group to follow him. The room was dimly lit and was furnished with comfortable armchairs and couches. Our third group was able to join us in the room and we were able to mingle seated or standing. The different drinks that were ordered were so cool. A smoky bubble was set on top of a cone shaped glass that resembled an ice cream cone. I had a couple of friends that ordered gin drinks and they were served in a bathtub complete with rubber ducky! This was such a fun and special way to celebrate a friend's birthday! The service was superb!

I've been to several speakeasies around the USA and Gatsby should be the standard of what a…read morespeakeasy should be. No really! Imagine yourself walking through the 8th St promenade in downtown Boise. It's hustling and bustling with people and restaurants that are packed. Then, out of the corner of your eye, you see an alley. It's kinda dark, maybe a little unsettling at first. You see a steel door with a small panel at the top of the door. No door handles but a green lit old stagecoach light, a small wooden sign hanging g just beyond the door with a key on it. Hmmm, strange. In faded sharpie letters it says Knock knock on the metal door, so you knock twice. The panel on the door slides open and they ask for the password. Whoa!!!! Luckily you called ahead to make reservations so they whispered it to you. You give the password and door opens to a tiny little library with a couple of shelves full of books. The hosts welcomes you and you stare at the bookshelf knowing it isn't just a bookshelf but a door. You try pulling on different books guessing which is the right one but after a minute the hostess shows you and you enter a beautiful brick walled 1920s decorated room with seats and dim lights and no windows whatsoever. The artwork is prohibition-era themed. Heck, there's even a stack of wooden barrels that supposedly hold spirits. That is exactly the speakeasy experience you are looking for. We were seated in the boiler room, a private area which had beautiful wooden lockers with glass doors all lit up and full of booze. Books line the wall and there is an old fireplace covered with candles that have melted wax all over the mantle. In the corner is a poker table. Really the perfect vibe for a speakeasy. Glance at the menu and notice their tang of cheaper to very rare and unique spirits, some costing hundreds of dollars for a shot. Whisky, vodka, rum, gin, scotch, bourbon, you name it. But also check out their cocktails. They can even make mocktails if you don't want alcohol. Not only are the drinks unique but so is their presentation. The glades used I've never seen. Some drinks have a printed pattern on them, others come with dry ice that quickly evaporates or a cool smoked filled bubble. The whole experience was just amazing. This is a do not miss opportunity if you like drinks and cool, unique experiences. They even have another room in the back called the Garrison Room which looks like a mineshaft. I just love the thought put into this place. And when you are done, you exit through a nondescript door and exits to a patio area of another restaurant and back out to the promenade. Just a wow experience! So glad I did it.
