Definitely a hole in the wall. Not a lot of seating, but lively ambiance with good music and the smell of (normally) great food cooking! Love the food, especially the tacos de carnitas. The flavors are authentic and definitely make you want to come back for more. The frescas are amazing as well. My only complaint is the entirety of my most recent visit. Normally when I get tacos here, they include radishes (and cucumbers if I remember correctly). They were pretty generous with the meat and onions and cilantro as well. This time, however, the tacos were a bit smaller than I remembered. They did not come with the toppings they came with last time. The meat was also not as seasoned as the previous times I've been here. It tasted a bit bland, a bit too greasy and just all around wasn't as great as I remembered it to be. Maybe I caught them on an off day, because I also felt very rushed by the lady who rang up my order when there were no other people in line. Not a smile or a hello or anything. I know there are different locations. And this is the only one I've been to. I had a great experience. The food was delicious, made quickly! I got the shrimp tacos and a mini quesadilla for my daughter. We also shared a large horchata! $2.50 can't beat it! Might have to get 2 next time so she could have her own. That's how much we loved it! My friend who is Hispanic taught me more about certain food items and dishes that may not have description or had pictures, since the menu is in Spanish so that was helpful. There seems there could be somewhat of a language barrier for people if you don't know have to speak some Spanish or can recognize Spanish numbers. When you go in you order and then they call your number on the receipt. They call the number in Spanish. Also my friend wanted to order 2 fountain drinks, she doesn't know Spanish and it took a while for them to understand what she wanted. Its a order first, then sit down restaurant. I've just had an amazing meal here. The red tacos are so, so good, like a combination between between pot roast and a French dip. But the fresh onion, radish, and cilantro lighten it. So, so, so good I live almost an hour from here and I will definitely come back. It's a casual place, no table service, very reasonable prices. It's a good to go option I'd think too, had a few people come for take out while we were here. It's fast, too. I like all the hot sauce options, some bottled some scratch. They've got Mexican beers big enough for us to share. It's heave got a strong seafood element to their menu too, next time I'll try the camarones don Beto's. The fajitas were still sizzling and smoking when served-- l remember remarking to my friend, "Now THIS is how fajitas should be served." The second time was a Friday lunch time with a larger party. The food was still good, though the fajitas weren't still sizzling and smoking this time. I can forgive the slower service at a rush hour time. The food was still good and the service friendly. Classic Mexican menu. The portions weren't consistent. The fajitas were piled higher on the first visit when the restaurant wasn't as busy. The tacos had fried fish that was awesome, lettuce, tomato, and cojita cheese. There were 3 tacos plus rice and beans. The burrito mojado came with lettuce, avocado, and rice. It was really big.
