I ended up taking 1/2 of it home. So I had another delicious meal the next day. It was loaded with shrimp, as well as sliced whole avocado, shredded cilantro, tomato, and red onions. With Orange slices. My husband had a chefs special with steak , rice and sliced avocado. He also enjoyed his meal. We are bringing my daughter and family there next week for her birthday. This was a delivery order - YMMV for dine-In The Elote appetizer was tasty, but the corn itself wasn't great either tiny kernels and because thy just threw it in a styrofoam container that didn't close it was room temp when it arrived. A 1 cent piece of foil and fresh seasonal corn would have gone a long way. The chorizo queso was also very tasty, but the delivery serving size was maybe 1/4 cup really too small. We ordered both chicken and carnitas chimichangas - and couldn't tell which was which because nothing was labeled. They might have been crunchy when made but when delivered they were lukewarm and soggy. And to top it off the tres leches cake came without the ordered toppings. One thing I love is good Birria tacos and they definitely have it. I usually get my food to go, so I haven't been able to come and enjoy their new location. We have been enjoying Guajillo's take out since they opened and almost always order Tejanos Fajitas w/ steak, chicken and shrimp. On one occasion they forgot the shrimp but insisted I had eaten it and was trying to scam them for more shrimp...sad but I gave them the benefit of a doubt. The last few times we ordered, we noticed the portions were getting smaller but last nite was the kicker After ordering Tejanos Fajitas and getting it home, the container had about half as much food as is normal. I immediately took everything back unopened. The customer service was quite poor in my opinion. They didn't offer to "make things right" and they wouldn't refund my money even though none of the food, not even a chip, had been eaten. Since there was no manager in the store, they had me talk to a manager on the phone who told me how wrong I was although the manager never say the order. So they kept the food I returned and gave no refund. Additionally there is a 4.99% fee for ordering online in addition to the 3% cedars fee. Won't be hurrying back there anytime soon. We get takeout from here at least every 2 weeks, and everything is delicious. Still working on trying everything on the menu. I wish there was room to expand, the dining area is small, and even picking up takeout is an adventure, because you have to squeeze in and out. My few dine-in experiences have been very good experiences... staff is always friendly and expedient. They catered a graduation party for us, everyone loved the taco bar. The salsa is always fresh, the chori dip (queso & chorizo) is a must, and the birria burrito is the best thing on the menu. Not a whole lot to talk about this place, kind of a mom and Pop joint. It is kind of small and out of the way in a little strip mall with very little to no parking. The food is solid! Fresh, good taste and probably the best Mexican restaurant around their area. The service is really good, they're very conscientious of their Clients in their modest dining room- very likable crew. The ambience, like I said, is modest but then again, I didn't go there for the ambience! I went there for the food and I was not disappointed. This restaurant doesn't have as many options like Fiesta Mexicana or Mezcolitos. The dining area is small. It was busy and space felt tight. They bring you out chips and salsa. The kids chicken nuggets were too hard and almost not edible. I ordered the Arroz with shrimp, chicken and pork. There was WAY too much cheese. My rice was drenched! It was not enjoyable. My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner tonight. Pleasantly surprised. It is small with limited tables. However quick service. Started out with chips and salsa. Delicious salsa!!!! I had a pick three plate which was 2 hard beef tacos and a cheese enchiladas. Served with rice and beans. Very very plentiful and very tasty. I throughly enjoyed everything.
