I'm still loving this place. Located in downtown Clayton, all they do is drinks and tacos. But they do everything so well! You just circle your protein (chicken, beef, or shredded pork), then circle how you want it, how many you want and wait patiently for the magic to happen. Never jam packed with people, but they draw a fairly steady stream. If that's not enough, you can pick from lots of sauces in a little cabinet. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but my experience today was so disappointing that I felt it needed to be shared. I drove from Fayetteville, North Carolina, because I had visited before and was looking forward to coming back. As a small business owner myself--I own several businesses, including The Sip Room wine bar--I understand that mistakes happen and that every business has policies that employees are expected to follow. When I arrived, the employee working the counter took another customer's order before mine, even though I was next. I didn't make an issue of it because things happen. After placing my order, I was told the business no longer accepts tap-to-pay through a digital wallet. No problem. I went to my car to get my physical card. Before paying, I simply asked if they accepted tap with the physical card. He said yes. I replied that it was interesting they accepted tap with the card but not through a digital wallet. His response was, "I don't make the f***ing rules. You can just leave." I was completely caught off guard. I never raised my voice, never used profanity, and never became disrespectful. I simply asked a question. Instead of de-escalating the situation, he repeatedly told me to "leave" and "get out." As I tried to leave, I couldn't get the front door open. He told me to go out the back, then said he would open the front door if I asked him. When I did, he looked at me and said, "Say please." That was one of the most humiliating customer service experiences I've ever had. Other customers were laughing while this was happening, and the employee seemed completely comfortable treating me that way. As someone who owns businesses and works with the public every day, I know customer service isn't about being perfect--it's about treating people with respect, especially when there's a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. I love supporting small businesses, and I even create content to help local businesses grow. I truly wanted to continue supporting this one, but after being spoken to and treated this way, I won't be returning. I'm sharing this review in hopes that management addresses how customers are treated, because no one should leave a business feeling embarrassed for simply asking a question. read more

Amazing street tacos. And amazing drinks from the bar. Not a straight forward vibe. I don't know if this is a bar with awesome tacos or an incredible taco shop with awesome drinks. The smoked meat makes the tacos superlative. There's a hot sauce selection if you want. They don't need it though. But then there's great tequila and mezcal. Great drinks. Spent over $100 here and left disappointed. The tall blonde staff member with visible tattoos seemed irritated from the start. We had cash ready to tip, but after we didn't use the digital tip screen, the attitude noticeably changed. Our order was skipped multiple times, we waited over an hour, and the tacos were cold when we finally got them. For the price, the service and food quality should have been much better. I hope management looks into who they have working the front. read more

Simple, Homey, Tasty. This place is the total relax place with outrageously good tacos. In our case, we sit at the bar and chat with the bartender/cook who makes our tacos and drinks. Very cool and chill staff, always feel relaxed, welcomed, and not hovered over. Prices are fair and the environment is very comfortable. Easy parking and located in downtown Clayton. Choose from traditional, fajita or hombre style - I had pork traditional and others hombre - tortillas were traditional corn and really nice texture- also had on the rocks house margarita which was very good- everything was very fresh, great service and fun atmosphere! There are very minimal options in this place, and only one staff member is working, so a bit of a wait. It's similar to bar taco, where you fill out your order on paper to give you the cook. There are no vegetarian options, only beef, chicken, and pork. Then you choose your topping category and type of shell. I got two beef and one chicken. The meat was delicious as it was smoked and full of flavor. I probably won't revisit because of the lack of vegetarian options, and my wife is meatless. I hope they add vegetarian options soon! read more

We had been sitting there 10+ mins and she just screwed around until exactly 1:01am to say something and when I stated we had been waiting 10 min ahead said "I'm sorry it's after 1 we're no longer serving tacos".
