    Asada wet burrito
    Peter C.

This place is a gem! Small hole in the wall spot with delicious and authentic Mexican food. Workers are super friendly and welcoming as well. I had the pozole and it tasted like my buddy's mom made it! On a weekday too, which is rare with most places offering pozole and menudo only on the weekends. They give you the full spread of fresh toppings like onions, cilantro, limes, cabbage, and radish to make the pozole how you like it. Will definitely be back to try the menudo and whenever I'm feeling pozole. My wife enjoyed her massive asada wet burrito. The portions are very generous with leftovers to take home.

    Loaded Nachos

Don Chuy Mexican Restaurant is a great spot, especially if you're craving Mexican food. So far, my favorite item has been the Loaded Nachos -- and when I say loaded, I really mean it. The plate came stacked with tortilla chips, beans, rice, cheese, asada, chicken, and shrimp, making it filling and packed with flavor. My brother and I come here when we grab lunch together. He knows Mexican food is one of my favorites, so this has become one of our go-to spots. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice mom-and-pop style restaurant with a welcoming feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employees provide great customer service and are always helpful, which makes the experience even better. Overall, this is a solid place to eat, and I'll definitely be coming back to try more items.

Food: [[HIGHLIGHT]]AUTHENTIC, Mexican feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] These are the best authentic chicken enchiladas I've tasted. I'm Salvadoran, so I didn't grow up with enchiladas, but I've ordered them at places like Los Compadres & El Pescador and they taste so bad compared to these. They had good flavor! Ambiance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]QUIET, no music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It feels like you're at a grandmothers house, very small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's 1 long table that seats like 6 people and then 3 other 4 people seaters.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: good service from the start!

I'm kinda torn about this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the good family vibe atmosphere and the homemade salsa had great flavors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Off to a good start. Appreciated the lunch specials (look close on wall. Not on menu). Food: average. Chile Verde green sauce lacked flavor and the soft tacos (beef n chicken) were good but had better for sure. Rice n beans.... authentic but again nothing I'd rave over. Glad others found this place and giving mom/pop's business.

First time here i usually go to Rosewood for my Pozole but wanted to change it up and I'm definitely not disappointed 10/10

The pozole was bomb, I usually go to Rosewood for my posole, but wanted to try something new but definitely didn't disappoint. I give it a 10/10 can't wait to come back and try the rest of the food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Tiny hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant , tucked into a busy strip mall at the corner of Bellflower Boulevard and Alondra Boulevard[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]],. The lady behind the counter is super nice and friendly. I tried their menudo based on the positive reviews on Yelp. They don't hold back--it's a massive bowl packed with tender tripe and pata. It's very good! Will come back when I'm in the area.

    asada wet burrito

The prices were all covered, but there was a sign that stated they had changed the prices. Let me tell you, it was expensive and not worth what we paid. The few bits of asada in my burrito were chewy and flavorless. My mom said the huarache was just okay. Our food was served after the group behind us, who arrived after us. The agua de tamarindo was too sweet and didn't taste much of tamarindo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small place with plenty of parking, and I appreciate the fact that they had AC, but I don't understand the high ratings/reviews.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, they don't have public restrooms(?!)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Tacos Dorado's Shredded Beef

Went there to try the Tacos Dorado's. I ordered the tacos Dorado's with shredded beef from this quaint cozy spot. The tacos are very delicious and large. The beef was the highlight of the show. The plate comes with salad, rice and beans which are very fresh and delicious as well. Their salsa is also excellent and plentiful. Kudos for the salsa.

Wow! What a hidden gem we found. Took mom to Kaiser in Downey and she's been craving a soup so you know I had to Yelp it out for her lol. Called twice before making our decision and both times they were answered so nice, polite, and inviting. Seems like it's owned/ran by a elderly couple which I think is really sweet. Chef/husband even came out to see how me and my mom were going to dig in lol. I got the Chilaquiles and had my eggs done with Chorizo. I also wanted a soup so i asked if there was a smaller portion to the Posole or Birria and yup! She offered me the kid's size. (I LOVE when people help you find things on the menu or accommodate your desires) Oh and of course, my mom had la Sopa De Res. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is really clean, small, but definitely spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Btw we got here around 3-4pm, it was pretty lonely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I could only imagine how packed it might be on weekend mornings. Come check it out! The food was AMAZING. Soup was BANGIN! Going to be bringing my girlfriend soon since she likes soups and broths, cheers!

My go to place - food excellent, service great, [[HIGHLIGHT]]good dining ambience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Parking can be gull at times but worth the visit. 5 stars

The pozole only came with those two little pieces of meat.

The customer service was very poor! The lady was a bit rude. We told her it was our first time here and she never greeted nor welcomed us. Then she asked if we wanted to see the menu and we said yes. She came back and just threw them on the table. When our food came she just placed it on the edge of the table. The pozole only had two little pieces of meat. When I asked her if the Pozole doesn't come with meat she, said" that is the meat!" She never apologized, took my bowl and never came back with a new one. NEVER AGAIN COMING BACK HERE! They cater only to daily/regular customers. Yes, the smell of the menudo is very strong also.

My Chilaquiles and moms Sopa de res.

What a lovely place, atmosphere was so inviting, our sever Rocio was the best she remained very attentive to our needs and went over amazing foods and drinks suggestions scoring everytime. She was so friendly, kind and accommodating. It was prime time lunch time but we didnt have to wait around. Our dishes were outstanding i ordered the molcajete and it totally exceeded my expectations. Portions are generous. Every side is freshly made not canned not pre made; as well as the aguas frescas. My lemonade was refreshing and well made. Needless to mention their sauces....so yummy. Prices are reasonable. If it weren't for the very loud music playing, I would not have known this was a Mexican restaurant. We ordered Fish and Shrimp Ceviche tostadas, but it was ok not the best I ever had. Tostadas had more Cucumbers and Tomatoes than Fish or Shrimp, and to make it worse, it was soaked in some kind of unidentifiable watery juice which made the hard Tostada soggy. What prompts M E Perihuete to soak a hard Tostada shell with water? unbelievable! The Chilaquiles were bad. They were so spicy I could not taste my food. Overall, the service was bad the lady who served us was busy laughing and giggling with the male customers instead of attending to her tables. I have to say the obvious about the waitresses here, to be as nice as I can put it, their lips stand out as plungers, the chest, and behind well, so obvious they were not normal... The service was bad and the food was not the best. Pricey. Plenty of parking.

Place was nearly empty, we still went completely unattended for long stretches of time, orders were all wrong, and the waitress instead of fixing it was argumentative & completely wrong. For example, when I noticed my order was wrong, I told her and she immediately contradicted me to the point that I had to move the meat aside to prove to her that there were no beans on my order when there should've been. Instead of then fixing and apologizing she blamed the chef. When my spouse pointed out what was wrong about her order, she asked us what she wanted her to do with it? Maybe take it back and fix it? It was almost like she was blaming us and expecting us to just take what they brought us even if it was wrong. NOBODY IS TRYING TO PAY FOR THE PLEASURE TO FIGHT WITH THEIR INCORRECT WAITRESS. If you are going to be arguing with your paying clients, the least you could do is be right. They still tried to bill me for incorrect food returned and uneaten. Owner started brining up her video, but failed to address the countless problems and issues that were all over that "video". Eventually the food that was wrong and that was returned uneaten was refunded but it pales in comparison what the afternoon cost me. Please consider going elsewhere and their health code is a C which I did not know.
