Al pastor tacos and a lingua taco
Madi P.

Ugh this is one of my family's favorite spots to go to! The tacos are consistently delicious and high quality. We got majority Al pastor tacos, along with quesopastor tacos, and a few lingua tacos as well. Their agua frescas are also so so good. We usually get the watermelon, strawberry, or horchata. I would saw on a hot day the watermelon is perfectly refreshing. They have a lot of seating inside with nice chairs and tables. The cashiers and workers are always very nice too!

El Fogón has such a great vibe the second you walk in. The wooden tables, leather chairs, and wide-open seating layout make the place feel both cozy and spacious. I love that every seat has a clear view of a TV - perfect whether you're chatting, watching a game, or just wanting background noise with your meal. The only interaction I had was ordering my food and getting my food One thing I really appreciate is the self-serve sauce bar. If you like customizing your food, this is heaven. You can grab as much salsa as you want without having to ask. (Maybe not ideal if you're a germaphobe -- but for everyone else, it's a huge plus.) The agua fresca de sandía was delicious and tasted super fresh. It actually tasted like real watermelon, not like sugar or syrup. Food-wise, everything was on point. The Fogón Fries with al pastor were a standout: perfectly crispy fries, melty/goopy cheese (the good kind), and guac + sour cream that tied everything together. My boyfriend added grilled onions and played around with the dressings bar sauces, and it made an already great dish even better. I love that this place basically lets you create your own perfect version. The quesa tacos with al pastor were also amazing. The cheese was melted perfectly, and the tortilla had that ideal crispy-but-not-hard texture. And best of all -- the pastor wasn't overly salty in either dish, which is something we run into at a lot of other restaurants. The flavor was balanced and delicious. Overall, the aesthetic, the spacing, the customization options, and the food quality all make El Fogón a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

Bomb tacos here! I came after a football and wanted to try it! I got tacos of course so two asada and two el pastor tacos and both were delicious. The restaurant is really nice, and they had a live singer friday night. The salsa bar is average. They have free refried beans but didn't have any grilled onions or jalapenos in the pot. The salsa was pretty good on the tacos. Friendly service and smiles. Aqua frescas are on my list next time i come in. I think the pricing is good for what you get and the quality of it. Would i come back, oh yes indeed for those tacos!! Food rating Tacos 8.8/10 very good Flan terrible 4/10

To Go: Birria Nachos: So many toppings, so worth getting again

I've only ordered takeout from here because Tacos El Fogón is usually very packed. It's not because it's a small place, but it sure is a popular place! I couldn't decide on one item so I got a few and still wouldn't know which would be a favorite. Each option was so deliciously different that I think they're all worth getting again! Besides the entree options, they have an assortment of meat, aguas frescas, and a good variety of dessert. This is very much a "if you crave it, we probably have it" type of restaurant. The service is quick, even when not mobile ordering. I don't think I'll eat there in person for fear of getting back in line to order another plate! Not pictured bc I was too hungry to take a moment of appreciation for presentation: Buche taco, chicharron taco, tripas taco, and chicken torta

Ugh I got so excited to eat that i forgot to take a pic! I ordered a quesadilla de carnitas and it was soooo gooood! I was full and even had left overs, which is ALWAYS a win for me! The horchata was delicious as well. Both green salsas were amazing as well. I might have just found my new go to during lunch. I also loved the indoor dining chairs! They were so comfortable.

4 Tacos Plate with asada and chorizo

I came across Tacos El Fogón when I craving tacos. I ordered a taco plate which comes with 4 tacos, rice and beans. They offer a variety of meats but you can only choose 2 for the plate. I ended up choosing asada and chorizo for my tacos. As somebody who doesn't really like beans, I thought the beans were delicious and flavorful. The rice was dry and is very similar to Northgate's rice. The tortillas were a little cold as well. In terms of seating, there is ample seating. While you're waiting for number to be called out, you can pick out your salsa and various small sides at the salsa bar. My personal favorite was the avocado salsa; it had a small kick to it. The line filled up quick several times but everyone was served quickly. I would come back again for the taco plate.

Birria 3 Quesa Tacos

Tacos El Fogón is the spot! I came in on a Monday night and they have an awesome quesabirria deal for $10 bucks. Gets you 3 tacos and consomé - as well as grilled peppers and pickled onions and a salsa not offered at the salsa bar. They have sodas and great agua frescas that come in a large cup. In addition there's yummy postres like flan and choco flan. Aside from the meal being so good. Service is great, walk up to the counter, order, and wait to receive your order at the counter. As you wait, grab their beans like I did. I'm skeptical of beans, not everyone can make them right but these were so yummy. Salsa, Limes, Onions, Cucumbers with Tajín - these are all available free at their salsa bar. I really liked this and felt everything was fresh and delicious. While I didn't get to try many meats, they offer a lot suadero caught my eye for next time. This spot is calm, parking was simple but small, and everyone was friendly. I think it's a really nice place for families or if you're a young adult like me. This place has something everyone will enjoy.

The food has significantly reduced in quality. Once upon a time it was really good. The flavor is lacking now. The tortillas are incredibly dry. The asada is also very fatty. The lines are incredibly long on weekends so it's a little contradictory. People seem to still like it. I'm sadly disappointed. I don't know that I'd want to come back. So sad.

Stopped by last night to grab me some food after feeding all of my dogs first hahaha. Very close to where I live and I've never thought to come here until sometime last month when I surprisingly discovered they have quesatacos on the menu. I've been traveling around LA County for the past several plus months discovering some good birria spots. Both small and big. Popular, unpopular and underrated. So it being "Taco Tuesday", it was only right I pulled up. Located right across from Bellflower high off of Alondra. In between Woodruff Blvd and the 605 Freeway. Big parking lot with additional street parking. I love the design and layout outside especially with the palm trees. Gives it a tropical vibe. I've passed by here many times during different hours of the day. Seems like they're always open and drawing in crowds of people. However, it was a chill last night so not a lot of people during my visit. Still busy though. There were definitely several different parties occupying tables inside the restaurant. Smelling real good as soon as I walked in. The restaurant is very spacious and big inside. Both indoor and outside dining available with plenty of seating. Family friendly fasho . Only service dogs allowed. Clean, neat, organized and well kept. Not loud but it can be. About a handful amount of tvs to watch from. A salsa bar. A beverage fountain. Strictly here for the birria and nothing else lol. Let the cashier know it was my first time visit and he was real cool being patient and understanding as I placed my order. Each quesataco is about $3.89 if I remember seeing it correctly cuz it made more sense to grab the combo which included; 3 quesatacos and a cup of consome. Not bad if you ask me. Took pics while I waited. Wasn't long of a wait. My food came out fresh, hot and most importantly, smelling good lol. Stopped at or the grocery store for some tequila and then the liquor store for some ice. Finding myself bs knob my kitchen soon as I get back at home from these several trips. My food was still hot. Thank God !!! lol. Made me a margarita real quick. Took a sip. Then another. It was Just what I needed. Now I'm ready to eat hahaha. I then grabbed one of them quesatacos out of the box and dipped that thang in that cup of consome and damn near lost my mind. Smh lol. Not only was it delicious but also everything I imagined. Cooked just right. The birria was tender and juicy. Not stingy with the portions. Right amount of beef, onion, cilantro and cheese. Flour shells fried perfectly. And the consome was the icing on the cake. Temperature was hot. The quality was authentic and tasteful. Yump !!! I'm definitely coming back soon lol.

Delicious quesa tacos! Came on an afternoon and was only a short line. Ordered a quesa taco and a watermelon aqua fresa which was nice and sweet. They have a decent size menu so there is something for everyone. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Parking is tricky but will definitely be back.

Entered the restaurant which we were greeted and seated. The host gave us some waters and stated that our server will be here in a few minutes. A few minutes passed, our server handed us some tortilla chips and salsa. I ordered a Campechana cocktail which had a mixture of shrimp and octopus. Ordered a Lengua taco and chicken Mole. Ordered some alcoholic drinks as well. Received our food within 15 minutes. All was very good! No complaints on the taste of food. All was delicious. Pros: -Happy Hour drinks were decent -Plenty of parking -Clean Restaurant which felt old fashion -Live music is available Cons: -Had to keep calling our waitress over to assist us. -Seafood Cocktail was very expensive! Other Restaurants that tasted as good or better would average up to $16-$19. This place charges you $27 which I believe is too overpriced for some seafood cocktail. Dishes were above average pricing. Overall: Wouldn't me my first Mexican go to place due the expensive price for dishes and Seafood and it would not be the last to visit. This place had a good vibe. Ambiance was straight old fashion to the punch. A real Mexican joint without old school vibes.

Place was nearly empty, we still went completely unattended for long stretches of time, orders were all wrong, and the waitress instead of fixing it was argumentative & completely wrong. For example, when I noticed my order was wrong, I told her and she immediately contradicted me to the point that I had to move the meat aside to prove to her that there were no beans on my order when there should've been. Instead of then fixing and apologizing she blamed the chef. When my spouse pointed out what was wrong about her order, she asked us what she wanted her to do with it? Maybe take it back and fix it? It was almost like she was blaming us and expecting us to just take what they brought us even if it was wrong. NOBODY IS TRYING TO PAY FOR THE PLEASURE TO FIGHT WITH THEIR INCORRECT WAITRESS. If you are going to be arguing with your paying clients, the least you could do is be right. They still tried to bill me for incorrect food returned and uneaten. Owner started brining up her video, but failed to address the countless problems and issues that were all over that "video". Eventually the food that was wrong and that was returned uneaten was refunded but it pales in comparison what the afternoon cost me. Please consider going elsewhere and their health code is a C which I did not know.
