I'd always spot this colorful little shack so this day I had a couple of minutes to spare and gave them a try. There's parking right out front for a couple of cars. Not much space. The menu was extensive but I can't stray away from my favorite snowball flavor which is green apple. The prices were reasonable, the service was nice, and they were pretty quick. I also ordered corn in a cup. It was okay. The one I chose with the Tony's on top was a little to salty for me. I'd go back if I'm ever in the mood for a snowball. It was pretty good. Was the softest ice I've ever had but it was still good.

One of the best snowballs in the greater nola area!! The ice is shaved super finely and they have a variety of flavors! The staff is very kind as well!

We stopped by here for some tasty treats. They did not disappoint! My girls were happy that they were able to try a TikTok trending mango ice cream. My husband got the banana split and I got a Tiger's blood snowball with condensed milk. Everything was delicious and we all left happy! Friendly service as well. Definitely give them a try!

Very good food. Very good environment. Very good service. Very good music. Very good snowball. Would recommend to people traveling here.

I got a mangonada and it was frozen....legit frozen. To be fair, he did tell me it would be frozen but I expected a slush....overall the mangonada was good...would have been better if it wasn't frozen. The other four snowballs we got were good. The ice was fine. Oh and the prices weren't bad either.

    Mangonada completely frozen

The place is very nice and pretty. Everything else is great but their mangonada. It is legit frozen. It tasted gross after it is thawed out.

I was just driving in search for a playground for my nephew when I noticed a bright house that has been converted to snow ball stand. I made a U-turn and check them out. Glad I did because sold not only snowballs, they also sold Elote! I love corn. It's a drive from where I live but a short ride from where I work. We end up with a Blood Tiger Flavor kid snowball with an extra charge for two cherry on top and one Cajun corn and one Elite Loco. You can either have your corn in a corn paper tray or wrap in foil. It's looks so much yummy to have it open in the corn paper tray. The only complaint I have would be that the corn wasn't roasted more. We all enjoyed our snacks. The staffs are friendly. I love it that you can either pay in cash or credit cards. I actually came back the next day and try their mangonada, elote Fuego (spicy then the Elote Loco) and corn in a cup. I'm so glad they're not close by or else I will be here almost every day!

Absolutely the best snowball place in the city of New Orleans. So many amazing choices.

A few years ago I had been to La Tia in Metairie, and it left a serious impression. What stuck with me most were the craft cocktails...creative, clever, and a little bit mischievous. I still remember one in particular: a Mexican-inspired cocktail with mezcal and beet juice that somehow managed to taste like summer decided to take a vacation south of the border. It was the kind of drink that makes you pause mid-sip and say, "Okay... whoever thought of this deserves a raise." Somehow the place drifted off my radar over time. But when the craving for Mexican food hit, it popped right back into my head. I was excited to bring my son and daughter-in-law since they had never been. Unfortunately... the reunion didn't exactly go as planned. Two things hit me immediately while looking over the menu. First: the craft cocktails were gone. Not "different." Not "updated." Just... gone. Replaced with the same drinks you see in every other Mexican restaurant. Second: the prices nearly made me spit out the water I hadn't even ordered yet. $6 for a Corona. $18 for a basic burrito with fries. $10 for a kids plate over chicken tenders and some fries. And not the old La Tia burritos either...the ones I remembered piled high with rich molé, bright verde sauces, and layers of flavor that made you wonder if you should be taking notes. Nope. Now we're talking about a plain flour tortilla with some ground meat inside, no sauce, and a side of what looked suspiciously like freezer-aisle French fries. For eighteen dollars. My daughter-in-law ordered the fajitas, and honestly... they were rough. Thin strips of overcooked meat that looked like they had taken a brief vacation in a plastic bag before hitting the grill...served on a plate. Lately I've gotten into the habit of pulling up Yelp photos to compare dishes from past years, and I did exactly that. I found a photo of the same fajitas from about three years ago...big, juicy steak pieces, sizzling on cast iron and full of life. What we got looked like it came from a completely different restaurant. To be fair, my shrimp tacos were actually pretty good. Nicely cooked shrimp, decent flavor, and probably the lone bright spot of the night. But overall, it felt like the La Tia I loved had quietly packed up and left the building. The elevated Mexican food? Gone. The rich sauces? Gone. The inventive cocktails that made the bar worth sitting at? Also gone. In their place: food that feels pulled from a bag... at prices that feel pulled from a luxury menu. It's a tough thing when a restaurant you once loved loses its spark. But sadly, this visit felt less like a reunion and more like running into an old friend who has completely changed--and not for the better. As much as I hate to say it, I don't see myself returning to La Tia anytime soon. Turns out the only thing that stayed spicy... was the price tag.

The waitresses were kind and quick to take my order. I ordered a simple fried fish and a queso for an appetizer. The queso was simple and just ok. The salsas were not spiced at all and were very watery. The dish came and it was extremely greasy, I get that it's a fried dish but at least let some of the oil drip off before plating. I used several napkins to try to take off some of the excess oil. The fries were very soggy and not seasoned at all and the fish looked appetizing but when I bit into it, it had no flavor whatsoever. The texture was there and it looked like it was going to taste good but it fell extremely short in taste. On the flip side, the beans were overly seasoned. The rice was also lacking salt. I felt bad when the waitress came to ask me how everything was. I had to tell her that they completely forgot to season my food. She apologized and I said it wasn't her fault and asked for my check and told her she might want to tell the chef to not forget the salt next time. Overall the place was nice for group gatherings, although the music was a little loud, they also had several TVs playing different things. Maybe I selected the wrong dish but I have to say I won't be going here again when I want a good Mexican seafood. I'll have to check out their other dishes and hope they're much better. For now they won't be added on my places to frequent during my work trips.

I had the Dorita's Famous Chicken and Mandarin Salad. It was ok. I think I was expecting more due to the name, but the chicken was lacking flavor and so was the poppyseed dressing. I think an alternative dressing would have made a big difference. What I did notice was that all of the dishes were very generous and almost everyone had lots of leftovers. Also, there is a large lunch menu (which most of us ordered from), and it's available on Saturdays as well. Big plus.

"Room" autocorrected to "run," and that felt spiritually accurate. It smells like someone made a series of deeply personal choices and then left them behind. Not a faint odor. Not a "maybe it needs attention." I am talking full, undeniable, immediate presence of Satan's butthole. One step inside and your body goes, "Absolutely not." Every time I've been here. Every. I should not need lung capacity training to use a restaurant bathroom. I genuinely like this place and keep coming back because the food and drinks are good. But please. I am begging. Exorcise whatever is haunting that bathroom. No margarita is strong enough to erase that experience.
