The ice is so fine the moment it touches your tongue it literally just melts. I opted for the Ube flavor in typically because of the syrup, I usually get more thirsty after I'm done eating snowballs, but with this one, it was so refreshing. I can only imagine the sensation if I were eating this on a hot summer day. They had some unique flavors and my husband my mother-in-law and I all got different flavors that we tried each other others and I can't say anything wrong about any of them. They were well balanced somehow the savory flavors worked as a dessert and I can't wait till the next time I can go back. Something I learned on this trip is that snowballs here are available from Mardi Gras until around Halloween so just something for you to note if you are traveling, but I was told that they do pop-ups here and there a little outside of the season.
