    1/4 chicken

Husband had the chicken, enjoyed his meal. I had a salad and the shrimp ceviche. The salad was good, lime vignette was very good! The best for last...the ceviche was excellent! I wanted to drink the broth! Waitress was sweet! Small restaurant, cute, no alcohol or byob which is fine! Street parking. Enjoy!

Pollo Original (half) with fries and Chicha Morada
    Nick D.

Came straight off from work for my lunch break around 11am. When I came in it wasn't busy at all which is totally normal since it was early and they just opened. I ordered the pollo original (half) with my option of fries and Chicha Morada (which was the drink) The chicken was actually pretty good especially for a $13 dollar dish. I've tried other smaller restaurants just like Don Fernando's and I was quite surprised. Usually typical start up restaurants that aren't as big as others give you a dry chicken since I guess they're trying to make the impression of a faster delivery time when it comes to customers. Although our meal came fast ( especially since we came early) the Chicken was thick and tender but was not too dry, definitely had some juice to spare but not a lot which I prefer to be quite honest. The fries were okay nothing special, and I don't quite see myself as a fries expert per say so I just ate those without being to critical. The main thing that got me hooked was the drink. THE CHICHA MORADA! Man can I just say I've tried this drink quite a few times before, the drink itself is quite appealing, this purple fruit juice, originally from Peru has such a refreshing flavor and mildly sweet ( something that I'll definitely come back for). On a key note, the place is definitely not the most elegant, so you can come however you please. (I'm not sure at night though since as I said I can super early). The setting outside the restaurant is diverse, like really diverse and can feel the culture vibrating through the lens of your eyes. Coming in Don Fernando's I felt safe and at home. The servers were genuine and innocent and were very kind. This place is perfect for late night dates and family gatherings. Would recommend for anyone who is looking for a delicious meal at a affordable price

Sometimes good food sometimes terrible. I don't know if they change the chefs many time or what.

Horrible. The food had no flavor at all. Everything was so bland. It's not what I expect from a restaurant that is rated so high.

Just got in town...wandering around for a lunch spot and saw Columbia House...quickly checked…read more"Yelp" of course...and based on reviews it was a go. Besides almost every table full at 1:15 lunch...including the back room and it is a large restaurant. We were seated without a wait. Took longer to navigate the huge menu. Hubby and I just wanted a light lunch. He ordered the chicken wings and I ordered the "fish" sandwich w/o cheese. Unfortunately, I was served the chicken sandwich not the requested fish sandwich. It still came with avacado, onions, tomato and lettuce. (No cheese as requested). Once I took a bite I realized I had the wrong sandwich. I was disappointed. Waiter apologized and offered to switch it up...I can see he felt bad and we were not quite sure where we both messed up...could have been me? Him? Not a big deal...I just kept it and enjoyed. Chicken was slighty dry (cheese would have fixed the dryness) but seasoned perfectly. It was a large sandwich with two layers of thin grilled chicken. I would split it next time. I like the way it was served...wrapped in a paper. I requested un-seasoned fries and my request was honored. It was all a generous portion. The restaurant is high energy, food around us all looked delicious and fresh, cocktails looked really good...I wanted to taste the cappuccino martini next to us...tempting to order one. Service was timely, friendly and efficient. Noise level a tad high however it was easy enough to carry on a conversation. Overall, I understand the reason this place was so busy...definately a solid fun place...wish it were on my neighborhood as I enjoy exploring different dishes. Thumbs up for sure.

Fun, authentic and mostly delicious Colombian food. Bakery too! :)…read more Very friendly service. Large, very comfortable room. I wish they had fresh juices (not just fake OJ called "fresh") that's the only part that does not feel truly Colombian.

Inka Terra is always a great spot for Peruvian food and somewhere I enjoy coming back to. I ordered…read morethe shrimp with garlic, which was good and flavorful, but there was a bit too much oil in the dish. The oil ended up being a little overpowering and took away from the flavor of the shrimp. I also got the Lomo Saltado, which is a classic and something I order almost every time I come here. It never disappoints -- the portion is great and the flavors are always on point. Overall, the food is still very good and the menu has a lot of great options. I'll definitely continue coming back.

A hidden gem for Peruvian comfort food done right…read more We've dined inside, outside, and ordered takeout, and the consistency is what keeps us coming back. The food always tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared. The rotisserie chicken is juicy with crisp skin, paired perfectly with classic sides like rice, beans, and vegetables that don't feel like afterthoughts. The takeout special is an easy win -- generous portions, great value, and ideal for sharing. Add the yuca fries (extra, but worth it) for that crispy-outside, fluffy-inside bite. Service is friendly and efficient, beer is cold, and the space works whether you're sitting down or grabbing food to go. It's an excellent stop after a hike or an easy neighborhood go-to if you're craving something comforting and flavorful. Highly recommend.
