This is the first time I've been to a Noches in upstate. Small bakery, but still good! Some items were not available when I went around 2 pm. Empanadas are still good and the other items available might have been sitting since the morning. The inside it super dark and I thought it was closed at first, Overall, it's an ok Noches, just not busy like the other locations I go to so the freshnesses seemed to take a hit. read more

We went for lunch for the first time. We ordered the whole fried fish and the Argentinian churrasco. We got tostónes and salad with both. Both were very tasty and delicious. The churrasco was perfectly cooked and juicy and flavorful, even without the chimichurri. The fish was very crispy and fresh. We will be back with the kids! read more

Came here on a Friday night. We were a party of 4, but we were still waiting on 2 people to arrive. They sat 2 of us immediately, but we waited about 20-25 minutes for anyone to come by and see if we wanted to order any appetizers/drinks. When the waiter finally came over, he said he just needed a few more minutes and would be with us shortly. The 2 other guests in our party arrived, and that's when the waiter came over to take our order. As we started giving him our appetizer order, we noticed he wasn't writing anything down. We knew our order would be incorrect; and it was. We ordered 1 chicken empanada, 1 beef empanada, and tostones. When they brought them to the table, we noticed there were 2 beef empanada, no chicken. Taste was bland, definitely missing something. Tostones were DELICIOUS. We ordered 2 diet cokes and a regular coke. I do like that they bring out the entire can of Diet Coke and the glass bottle of regular coke. It isn't fountain soda! Entree order: three of us ordered steaks, and one of us ordered the frijolada. The frijolada was good. I ordered my steak medium and that was a BIG mistake. It was SO red and the taste was terrible. Also very thin and flimsy. The two other steaks were ordered well done and those tasted better, but still very very thin. Dessert: we all ordered the tres leches, and oh my goodness! SOO GOOD!!! Presentation was gorgeous and flavor was great!! Cost: a bit on the pricey side, our bill was $240 for 4 people. The menu items are $1-$2 cheaper if you pay the bill with cash. There is a bakery on one side of the place where you can purchase misc items such as bread! This was cute! Overall, my party had mixed reviews on the food, so this is definitely a spot you should try at least once to make a determination. I'll give 3 stars this time... Greeted & seated upon arrival. Very friendly staff. Not too busy for a Saturday afternoon. The food came out quicker than expected & was delicious. The reason why I changed my rating from my previous visit is because #1 I asked for sugar on the rim of my margarita & it was repeated back to me twice & I received SALT on the rim. #2 we were expecting the "smokey" effect of the smoked old fashioned & received no smoke & half a glass for $20 for that particular drink! Been going there once a week for a couple of months now. I noticed every time I been there the food was not consistent even though I order the same thing all the time. The staff change from week to week. I don't see the same employees each time I go they change. This last time I noticed that the menu is different and limited. Most of the Colombian dishes disappeared which led me to believe they changed ownership. Gratuity is included in your check and they charge a different price when paying with card but they display the card price bigger and bolder to trick you into thinking that's what you pay even if it's with cash. I believe the quality went down and it is no longer a Colombian restaurant. It's more a South American mix. Went with friends recently. One of them has a Colombian mother and I remember her cooking. Everyday meals were small feasts. Forget about a special occasion! This place replicates those meals and captures the pleasant memories we had. The plates have enough food for two hungry young men. Although we're not young any more. =) Service is always great, the ambiance is welcoming. Expect a lot of noise if a soccer game is on the TV. The crowd can get boisterous, but not rowdy. Estuve aquí anoche para San Valentine y la comida y el servicio estuvo horrible. Primero pedimos 6 empanadas de entrada y solo nos llevaron 4. I've passed by Noches de Colombia way too many times and have been ridiculously curious about this place for SO long. Finally, after accidentally skipping breakfast, lunch, and life getting in the way - with a ready coffee in my hand and an staring into an empty hand and empty stomach, I decided to stop by Noches de Colombia. I was craving specifically pan de bono. Why? No clue. But I KNEW I needed to have it. Without so many options in the area and this being one of the very few Colombian spots, I knew I had to take action but didn't quite want to be disappointed. I literally called from the parking lot and asked if they had pan de bono (which they did). I rushed in as fast as I could ordered my two delicious pan de bonos- a soft, cheesy, sweet and savory DELICIOUSNESS I wasn't even ready for but knew I needed. As I almost dropped my mouth **because I had no idea how insanely cute this place would be on the inside** I realized I need to get my butt back here asap and give their delicious Colombian cuisine a try (besides the amazing pan de bono and awesome baked goods they have). So yes. Pan de bono lead me here. Now I'm shocked and need to come back. Also, yes, this is a restaurant but they have a little bakery section on the side of the inside where you can order empanadas, croissants, (pan de bono) and many more delicious treats all fresh. read more

I went here with my friend and work colleague for dinner on a Saturday night. We ordered their specialty drinks, and were blown away by the presentation and taste. We proceeded with ordering a bunch of appetizers and small plates to make our meal out of it. We got arepas, tostones, empanadas and guacamole. Everything was delicious! I took one star off for the level of music volume! They had a live singer, who did a great job and we enjoyed the authentic music. Haven't been disappointed yet checking this place out. It's always busy and I drive by because I know it's going to be a hassle of trying to get parking and let alone waiting to get a seat in there. Food is fantastic and I'm always just astounded with the amount of food that comes out with the serving. Always leave with a couple of pounds worth of leftovers that taste great the next day. If you're getting anything fried you might as well finish it on the spot if not you're going to have to air fry the hell out of it to get the proper quality the next day. It's a huge facility itself with on-site bakery with a little bit of a sports bar vibe as well if you're into soccer. Definitely someplace to check out if you're watching international soccer games and having some good food and drinks at the same time. read more

My first experience here was decent. Upon arrival we noticed the parking lot was very full and the restaurant was busy. We were seated quickly but were not attended to quickly, so we did have to speak up at first. But once we did speak up, the waiter was very apologetic and assisted us promptly. My brother who has special needs accompanied us, and when we explained our situation to the waiter, he was very kind and attentive to him as well. We enjoyed our drinks and our food was good. Everything came out rather quickly once we ordered and everything seemed fresh. The made to order, table side guacamole was delicious. I ordered the arroz con camarones, which was very plentiful and full of shrimps. It came with a side of tostones, which are pretty dry. They don't offer mojito, but when we asked for a dip for the tostones they offered a buttered garlic sauce, which we needed. My only other complaint was that at times the music was a little too loud and we couldn't hear each other at times. But otherwise we enjoyed our food along with the songs sang by their live singer. At one point, my aunt got up and started dancing. We loved the music. It was a nice experience. I was surprised at the end, when they came and sang happy birthday to me. They gave me a sombrero and I got to enjoy a delicious tres leches with ice cream, which I shared. And I left home with a cute and free light up palm tree plastic cup. read more

Average food and average service. Almost all of our food came out lukewarm. The empanada we ordered as an appetizer was pretty bland. My favorite items were the sweet plantains and the beans. I would go back and just order those items, and maybe guacamole as the guacamole on my husband's steak was tasty and I'd be happy to have more of it. The only negative would be that you can't eat the sugar cane that comes with the mojitos anymore the last few times it wasn't fresh and was just a garnish. This is the 3rd time we eat here. We love it! My husband and I eat here with our friends every time we come to NY. Our server Noemi was super friendly and kind, made great suggestions for our drinks and it did not disappoint. Definitely try their maracuya sangria is so delicious. And the paisano dish is a must. I'm a huge fan of Noches de Colombia in other locations and was delighted to see one open up in Newburgh. It was quiet on a Tuesday evening, and we had the back dining area to ourselves. Took off a star because the service was slow even though the place wasn't that busy. The servers do not seem to be aware most of the time. Tostones Noches and grilled skirt steak were a hit and tasted great! I felt $15 for a 6oz glass of average white wine was high for this establishment. Overall, it is a great restaurant for a fun celebratory night out and awesome for over the top bar drinks. I'll return for the frozen cocktails next time, they looked so good! read more

This place is so cute! The bar is very nice and the drinks are pretty good. They have a bakery inside which is a nice touch. I've been here several times and always get the Filete a la Plancha which is flounder. It's served with a wonderful side salad, tostones, and a small potato. It is absolutely delicious! I'd give 5 stars but the service is hit or miss. Sometimes it's really good and other times it's not that great. Only recommendation i have is to have a menu that describes the food. The menu is just a pic of their dish with no explanation. Other than that I will continue to eat here because I love their fish dish. read more

I called to let them know that the chicken was burned and they had the audacity to ask "how did you want your chicken cooked?" As if it was a steak. While on the phone trying to let the restaurant know of the situation and my disappointment they caught a nasty attitude and just said "you can come and change it out." I live more than thirty minutes away so that wasn't an option. They need to check their attitude and their food before it leaves the kitchen for quality. read more

Hey my date and I were looking forward to going to this place and try it out. I think that her parents would love this place, the music the food the lights the artwork on the walls, all amazing. No shade but I think that some of the food could use more seasoning but I feel like they cover themselves by handing out certain sauces that blend really well with the food that you would order. I think if you were into Spanish music and the food this is the place where you can get the culture and even a little nightlife too! It saddens me to leave this review . I used to enjoy this restaurant, but the quality of the food has taken a serious turn for the worse . I'll start with the empanadas.. Very strong cornmeal wrap and bland meat filling. No seasoning at all. I ordered the paella and the calamari that was in the rice was horrible . It felt like I was chewing on rubber bands . I had to remove all of them from my meal. The tostones were old and hard, as if they had fried them in the morning and sat out all day,then reheated . The chicharron ( fried pork skin ) had no seasoning ... just deep fried meat nothing else . The only thing they didn't mess up was my cup of water Hopefully they can turn things around As for me I won't be coming back read more
