The repair shop for Don Jacobs Honda charged me $345. for a gas tank cap.. I took took the car in because the emmision warning light was on. They ran several expensive checks and finally determined it was the gas tank cap. After running up the big repair bill the service tech and service advisor admitted that the dealership had received a warning letter from Honda that the rubber seal on the gas tank cap were failing on the Honda pilots. My problem is why they did not try replacing the tank cap first or at least inform me about the letter from Honda pointing out the potential problem with the lid rubber seal. This appears to me to be a rip off from a shop that cannot be trusted . read more

In the last 25 years, our family has owned 8 BMWs, 3,4,5,7 and 8. We took our BMW in Don Jacobs twice three years in a row. Each time was at the beginning of hot weather due to an air conditioner failure, and at the highest heat of the summer for air conditioner failure. This has been a series of "we cannot find what is wrong with it, we put in new coolant" to a no explanation by saying "it is fixed" to "there were two leaks in the line and we patched then'. Today, was the sixth time I have taken the car in for the same. The A/C blows hot air. Recently , they took a week and a half to "fix" the air conditioner. This is what happened: THE AIR CONDITIONER BLEW HOT AIR ALL THE WAY HOME. Don Jacobs service does not return calls, when you address it they make up things like "your phone is not taking texts". I called the manager of the dealership three times regarding the poor service repair and I wanted to see WHY they failed to fix my air conditioner 6 times. This is the absolute worst dealership we have ever worked with in every city we have lived in. We will not buy here because of their lack of working with the cost of the car. It is absolutely a terribly run business. I would not recommend you go here. Go to Louisville or Cincinnati. I will no longer be giving my business to Don Jacobs Honda. I was a loyal customer for 4 years, until one service I had done caused issues under the fault of their mechanics and Don Jacobs has refused to take accountability and fix it. Instead, they want me to pay $540 for labor to repair a mistake that they made. They also informed me of this via text and email, rather than calling me on the phone and speaking to me personally. Very disappointing and very cowardly. John Isele, I hope you see this and remember that your lack of accountability has lost you a customer forever. And I will continue to let others know how dirty you all treat your long-standing customers. I will not be giving Don Jacobs a penny of my business anymore. My advice is not to trust these dealerships with ANY of your maintenance services. You are better off finding a small personally owned business, because these large corporations seem to think that they never do any wrong and put all of the cost on the consumer. I also want to add, I had a family member work for Don Jacobs as a salesman for years and quit after DJ decided to stop paying commission for selling cars. Always atrocious customer service. I have used Don Jacobs a few times in the past and was never very happy, but this was my worst experience yet. I had my car looked at and went to pick it up after I scheduled to drop it back off in a few days for repairs. Nuts and Bolts: After they 1) directly lied to about the fees I was on the hook for, 2) blew me off numerous times waiting for a service rep to even look in my direction, 3) made me continually request updates on my behalf after telling me they would be in touch, 4) held my car for over 24 hours with no communication, 4) did not give me important details until after it became a problem for them but not before I could actually take action on it, 5) attempted to guilt me into getting the work done with them after trust started to erode, they then held my vehicle to force me to pay nearly $200 that I was initially told I would not need to pay. In fact, I was told an entirely different story: that the diagnostic fee was $165 and that it would be applied towards my final repair invoice since I scheduled to have my car repaired with Don Jacobs the next week. On top of all that, I was spoken to with such disrespect at almost every turn of this entire process. We were even accused of being "intimidating" for refusing to step away from the desk until our situation was resolved (note: I know from experience the second you are not standing at a desk in front of a service representative you no longer exist to them, and the claim that they needed to service other customers fell flat as no one else was there). I have never walked into this place and felt taken care of or even spoken to politely. Don Jacobs does not care about customer service because they feel they don't have to: as a dealership, they know people will continue to bring their cars in for service with them because of their Honda name. Not me, not anymore. Bottom line: I do not trust them to communicate with me, be even a little bit transparent, or provide me with accurate information. I do not trust them to care for me as a customer (thanks but no thanks to both Athena and Selena). Ultimately, I trust that they would execute good mechanical work, but I am not willing to allow myself to be taken advantage of to accomplish that. If you value your time, money, and energy, I suggest you look elsewhere for vehicle service. Under no circumstances should you bring your vehicle here for a repair. Even when facilitated by an insurance company, the communication is non-existent (unless you count being yelled at by Mark). Unnecessary delays and shoddy work will be your outcomes. Find another option from the myriad of repair shops in the region. Just a little background, about one year ago, we took our car to Don Jacobs for the same exact issue that we had now; and they said that nothing was wrong with it. We didn't have any further problems with it until last Friday evening. Last Friday evening, my 2015 Honda CR-V (bought it brand new) wouldn't start and made this clicking noise and the inside lights blinked off and on. My friends husband came and jump started the car for me. I drove it home with no issues, and drove it on Saturday just fine. Sunday comes around and I can't start my car again. So my husband takes the car to Don Jacobs Honda on Monday morning. First, they checked the battery and said it was in good working order; and that to do any additional diagnostic testing, it would be $120. I can't go out to my car and it not start; so I told my husband to continue and we would pay the $120. Half a day later, they said that there was nothing wrong with the car; but that if it happened again within a years time, that we won't have to pay the $120 again. How very thoughtful of them! Anyhow, Wednesday evening, 30 minutes after I got home from work, once AGAIN, my car does not start. It does the clicking noise again. So, I make a video of what the car is doing to show proof that we aren't complete morons and know that we aren't making this up. My husband takes the car back, on Thursday, (yesterday), and they said that they needed to bring their EXPERT in and that they would give us a complimentary car until our car was fixed. Called them today, and they said that we needed a new battery and it would cost us $119. Yes, that is cheaper than a lot of the other places around town....but, we could have saved $120 when they "supposedly" checked our battery before they did the diagnostic testing. They also said that electronic cars have this issue with the battery and it drains very quickly. They should have found this out much earlier and saved ourselves money....and them to say that it was the battery and they supposedly checked it beforehand?? Ehhhh.....sounds really fishy. I wonder if that's really what's wrong with my car or if they are just throwing something at us to get us to go away. Either way, IF I WERE YOU, I would NOT buy a more electronic car if at all possible.....because otherwise, there's a good chance you will end up in the same boat as us. You drive over an hour to do business and they lie after we agreed to pay $2K over sticker. I then arrived to the dealership and allow them to value the trade. They later come back with the vehicle price that include almost $1,800 in paint protection, vehicle theft and interior protection. My wife and I came in a few weeks ago to purchase a new Honda. We came in with the understanding that due to the supply chain shortages, there would be a wait. We found the vehicle and trim level we wanted and believed the sales person was on the same page when he reserved the incoming order on his computer. Apparently, the price he quoted us for was for a 'lower' trim level, even though this trim was never once mentioned in our conversations. They said that they 'could' get us the trim level we wanted, but it would be $2-3k more. Now, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this was VERY strange and to this day, we are not sure whether this was a mix-up or if they were trying to pull a fast one on us charging us the price of a higher model for a lower one. What we especially did not appreciate was when they were attempting to prove that the initial contract we signed was for the lower trim level. They texted us a picture in which we noticed the lower trim code was HANDWRITTEN on the top. We are 99% sure that this was not on the contract when we signed it but who knows... To be fair, the sales manager was VERY apologetic and offered rebates and free oil changes for the mix-up. After this, we VERY carefully reviewed the paperwork to ensure we received the correct trade in value and that all rebates were applied. We received the vehicle very quickly and it looked and ran great. Overall, everything else went smoothly, but this really soured the overall experience. read more

I took my Honda to the body shop for repairs. they quoted me $2600. took a month to get the parts and another month to get an appointment. they no longer have shuttle service to help you get home after dropping your car home. they y basically don't care about the customer, just the money. end price was 5600.any communication i had with body shop during the 10 days it was there was initiated by me. I picked up my car and didn't even make it out of parking lot when my ac broke. had to take it back after waiting for another part. another 100. this sounds like there is some insurance monkey business to me. this is my last encounter with don jacobs. I've had a family member and a close personal friend buy vehicles from Don Jacobs. In both cases -and my own recent shopping there- the experience has largely been excellent. The lot is clean. The salespeople are neat, clean, and professional. They don't call you "man" or "dude" but "sir" or "Mr. ____" or your first name if you ask them to use it. They followed up with a handwritten thank you note, an email, and a call. The only stain on their otherwise excellent record with me and family/friends has come in dealing with a saleswoman on the Volkswagen side of their business. In a typical bait-and-switch move, she quoted me one starting price on the phone to get me to the lot. Once there, the price suddenly turned out to be a "mistake" and shot up $4000. I was promised a call back the next day to give me the great deal she promised, but the next evening came and went with no call and no price. Now I'm wary to use this saleswoman or anything on their VW side. My only other beef with them is their hours: like every other central KY dealership they are closed half the weekend. I find this incredible that all these lots close on Sundays when I would do most of my shopping. While lots in n. KY, Dry Ridge, and Louisville, are open, these make it very hard for people to get out and buy a car on the weekends. Honda makes good cars but their current lineup of CRVs and Elements lag behind the RAV4 and other vehicles in gas mileage and Bluetooth handsfree technology. It is unfortunate because they are worlds away more professional and pleasant to deal with than the local Toyota dealerships. I would still recommend Don Jacobs Honda. read more

I am from Chicagoland and I am here for school. My car was making weird noises and since I live and work off of campus, it is a necessity for me to have my car in good shape. I took it in to the dealership since not knowing any other place that was reputable and the Honda dealership at home is so accommodating; I thought I would be getting the best service there. I went in to have them check the weird noises going on. I was told to sign an agreement for $260 because, from what a representative named Dustin told me, they were going to take things apart and really figure out what was going on in my car. I figured the $260 was for labor and time. I felt that it was a bit pricy but I also was at the dealership, so that is usually the case. I recieved a call from Dustin a couple of hours later (around 2-2:15ish) and he told me that my starter was going bad pretty fast. (they only ran two diagnostic tests) He said that fixing this would cost around $976. I told Dustin I would talk to my dad about all of this when he came down to Lexington the next day for family weekend. He urged me to make a decision before 3:30 so he could order the part. I told him that it was okay if I went the weekend without getting it fixed since I would be spending the whole time with my parents. He began to become annoyed with my answer and said "well then we can't order the part until monday." I reassured that this would be fine and I would have to speak to my dad about this whole thing. He then told me I needed an oil change too. I told him that I would not get that from him since I did not have enough money at the time to pay $300 when I can get a cheaper oil change. He then became irritated and said "it's just $40". I respectfully replied that I am in college and $40 equals two weeks of gas or majority of my groceries. He did not like this answer and told me I needed it ASAP. I went in to pick up my car a couple of hours later and worked with another employee since Dustin was busy. I asked why was the tests for my car so expensive. The employee told me that its just the way it is; $130 for each test. I asked if they took anything apart in my car and he told me no. (Therefore Dustin had lied to me.) I also asked when the dealership runs their routine brakes, alignment, filters... tests, what they specifically do. The employee told me the just kinda eyeball it and if something seems off they might go in with a flashlight to double check. THEY BARELY CHECK OUT THE CAR. IN CONCLUSION, I feel ripped off and way less then undervalued as a PAYING customer. I would never EVER recommend this dealership to anyone. Thank god I found someone to work on my car for almost $600 less. Awful and rude. read more

Don Jacobs refuses to fix the airbags on my Honda Element, despite the fact that Honda admits there's a problem with their airbags. I have been twice for the airbag recall. They have replaced some actuators, but the airbag light remains on. They claim it isn't covered under the recall. If Honda admits there's a problem with the airbags, why won't they fix my airbag? They want $130 diagnostic fee. DJH says it could be $250-$1500 to fix. This is absurd and dishonest. read more

Long story short, don Jacobs Honda wanted $125 to diagnose my air conditioning problem; and $125 to diagnose my gas cap problem. That's $250 before anything gets fixed. I always go to Towery on Nicholasville rd, why I went to Honda I can't remember. I take my van to towery and the service guy who always works on my van calls me out to where my van is sitting. Basically, I need a new gas cap so he points me to a car part place. The price of the gas cap $12. The automatic on the AC isn't working. The answer, set each zone separately. $0. The van is 12 years old. I'm very happy and my van runs great. While I'm at Honda, I ask about the news report that morning that said any Honda over a few years old is a "ticking time bomb." Talking about the air-bag. The service reps answer, "there are no recalls ." Does this mean my airbag is safe, or my airbag just hasn't been recalled yet? So I can only assume that my 12 year old van that runs great, and I love, is a ticking time bomb. read more

Not only did he get the majority of the sale done over the phone, he was polite, professional, and (most importantly) he was HONEST! This is one of the worst car dealerships I have ever experienced. They do not stand behind purchase agreements unless it is part of the actual purchase agreement. They matched another dealerships agreement verbally but backed out once purchase was made. I will never purchase a car from them again. Also they performed oil change on a vehicle under 1 year old and removed the skid plate. Two pins were noticed note to be in place properly. At the time this was noticed we were in the process of taking the vehicle back to dealership to fix - the skid plate got ripped off from roadway since the skid plate was hanging during this process. They tried to blame me for the issue. The service dept is pathetic and the service manager basically accused me of lying. This dealership stands behind nothing and the service they provide is horrible. I will never have them work on these two cars ever again. I will drive farther to Honda at Frankfort to get service work performed. This is where I would recommend going. read more

I was told I would have to pay for a rental from you guys and was asked for my drivers license and credit card. Also, I did not ask for a technician to come to my place of work. I asked for them to send a courtesy driver to pick me up 2 miles from your dealership cause my car was being worked on there. Also note that my car when I picked it up was supposed to have been fixed and I was told it was a battery issue and had been fixed but come to find out from the other dealership it had not been a battery issue and the car more than likely hadnt even been looked at by your technicians. Without question the easiest purchase, most professional service I have ever experienced. I bought from Don Jacobs before in 2002, but I would not use this dealer again, and I walked out after the high pressure tactics started. I will head to Honda of Richmond. No reply from senior management to my letter of complaint. In all fairness, I have always been treated well in the service department. The absolute worst car buying experience. After going to them originally for a used Honda CR-V, the sales man made me comfortable with the idea of leasing. I had not yet consulted my insurance company regarding quotes, also we couldn't reach an agreement on a monthly payment. I thanked them for their time and they told me they would be in touch. After several phone calls over the course of a week advising me they had received some "new incentives" and getting me to my price point was 100% achievable, I rescheduled an appointment. Now, this being my second time here and having already discussed my price point and being told it was "100% achievable" I expected this to be an in and out situation. Boy was I wrong. They haggled with me about the monthly payment for over an hour. First tried to finesse me into a Accord- when that is something we never discussed- FINALLY we agreed on the monthly payment, shook hands on the deal, I picked out my car, AND ONLY THEN did they check my credit and say that I would have to have a co-signer. When I told them that wasn't an option they said there was nothing they could do. They tried to guilt my papaw, who was with me, into co-signing. It was just an all around deplorable experience. I am unbelievably disappointed in my experience with Don Jacobs. I believe what they saw was a young girl who was obviously excited about a new car and thought that her papaw would do whatever he could to ensure she got what she wanted. I understand that my credit was non-existent, due to me being young and just simple having not credit history. I would not feel this way had they been upfront and honest with be about the process and had not tried and back me into a corner thinking I was going to fold. read more

i looked at used 2012 honda ridgeline. Gage was the salesman. The price on the internet was 15500. I wanted to buy the truck. They typed up sales offer. They started with a different price 17000. The final price was over 18000. when i told them it was different price there was no effort to correct the price. then another salesman came and pretended that another person wanted to look at the vehicle. As far as leasing my new vehicle, they're great. But that's probably as far as it goes. I made an appointment to change a scratched wheel a week in advance. When I got to the service center, they had no wheel to replace mine with. It was a wasted trip and wasted gas to Lexington. The manager of that department said he'd give me a call back when a specialist showed up the following week. Never received a call. Still have a scratched up wheel. Today, I had to ask a Honda financial specialist a question. He said he would figure out the answer and call me back in a bit. Still no phone call and it's well after business hours. I guess all they really want is to make the sale so they can make their commission. Everyone lives for the paycheck. This place is no different. After this lease is up, I may never come back due to the lack of service I've received after the sale. Long, frustrated post about poor customer service. Or, NO service. I made an appointment for my car last week for today at Don Jacobs Honda, specifying the message on the dash and the code that came up when Advanced Auto ran the computer report. I dropped it off at 7 AM before my 1:30 PM appointment. I received a text at 7:45 AM with my advisor's name and to call/text with any questions to that number. At 2:51 PM, I texted the number (trying to allow time for some of my 1:30 appointment to be done) and did not get a response. I called at 4:30 and was told they had called me twice that morning to get permission to run diagnostics on my car, but my voicemail was full. 1. I provided two numbers (work and cell), and I did not miss calls or have any unheard vmails on either. 2. The form I filled out to drop off my car before the dealership opened specified that I had to sign to allow work to be done, which I did. It further stated that I needed to specify if there was a dollar amount over which I needed to be called before proceeding. This work has to be done, so I did not fill this out and intended to check in once they had a chance to assess the car, which I did. The Don Jacobs Honda employee, Cameron, insisted the notes said they called. He then verified the two phone numbers I gave but could not tell me which one was called. The advisor in charge of my case had gone home early with a sick child, and no one had looked into it beyond that point. At this point, we were either disconnected or Cameron hung up on me. I called back and spoke with Elise, who said she was transferring to Cameron. I was "accidentally" sent to his voicemail, which is what she said happened when I called back. I held for a longer period when Tim Davis came on the phone and said Cameron said he wanted him to speak with me. I commented, "Oh, so Cameron is ignoring my calls?" Tim brushed that off and said he would talk to him. He reiterated the same information as before but said he could see that I had texted for an update two hours ago but had not gotten a response. He also said their policy was to make multiple call attempts on all given numbers, then text, then email, but none of that had been done. He apologized but said they would get the car in for diagnostics since they were open until 7. They would do this immediately, and I would get a call back. An hour later, Frank calls me and says everyone has gone home, so he'll be helping me tonight. He tells me the air hose has a gash, but they don't have the replacement part. Since it is so late in the day (5:45 PM), they will have to order it tomorrow, may be in by Thursday, so I would get the car back Thursday at the earliest. Gave me the total cost, I said it was fine, and I asked about a courtesy vehicle for the two days I would be without. Frank put me on hold to see what was available, came back and said it would be $40 per day. I then told him what I had dealt with so far and told him I did not feel I should be charged for a borrowed car when, had they done the work in a timely manner, I could have mine back tomorrow. He put me back on hold and told me I could have it for $25 per day. I again said I did not think I should be charged. He put me on hold again and said they would waive the fee for one day, and I would be charged $20 for the other day. At this point, it's beyond the money. Because of mismanagement and poor service, I am out a car for a total of at least 3 days. I said I had never been charged by a dealership for a loaner car, Frank said he would put the other guy on the phone. Low and behold, it's Tim Davis again. So, he is aware of everything that has happened, but he says they don't do loaner cars, they do low cost rentals. I told him that is poor customer service, and I am very disappointed in the practices of this local business where we bought the car originally. I informed him I will be coming to collect the car tomorrow and take my business somewhere that customers are appreciated and customer care is a priority. Y'all, I do not feel that I am an unreasonable person. I am loyal to local businesses and good service, and I will happily provide praise and recommendations for others to that effect. I purchased a 2016 Honda CR-V EX-L last week, but NOT from here. The initial interactions with Mike and a female from the financing department (don't know name) were pleasant during the time of our test-drive. We decided to return the next day to purchase the car. Prior to returning, I was well-researched and had a very good internet quote from another Honda dealership in the area. They did agree to match that price, but after that, the negotiations went south. Mike and his sales manager were incredibly high pressure and deceptive, indicating that "they were losing money on the deal" (false), and that they must include this dealership wide package that includes pin striping and nitrogen in the tires (also a known scam tactic for extra money). When I reported my disinterest in the dealership package, I was told it was impossible to remove the items in the package (which were simply all-weather floor mats and a cargo liner). Finally, after negotiating for at least an hour over the options and price, it came time to assess my trade-in. Admittedly, my car was old and dirty with a cracked windshield, but I was told explicitly by Mike to not try and clean it or do anything to make it look better. It had been meticulously maintained mechanically and had low mileage for a car given the year. Afterwards, there was no discussion regarding the price, they simply brought a contract with the price of the trade-in listed. I had to ask about it--which, to my dismay, was ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS. That's right. ONE HUNDRED. I laughed, thinking it was a joke, but nope. Not only was it insulting, but they were only willing to increase the price to $200 dollars upon my insistence. I gave them a final number, and if they wouldn't meet it, I would be leaving. They returned with the dog and pony show trying to guilt trip me into continuing with the purchase, saying "think about the time we've spent" and "think about the service we've given you". Sorry guys, you are trying to guilt trip the wrong person. So, I shook Mike's hand, thanked him for his time, and left. Yes, I know I walked out on a sale over a few hundred dollars, but it was merely the straw that broke the camel's back. The whole process was high-pressure, filled with bullshit responses geared toward making me think "they were losing money", so the insulting trade-in offer just pushed me over the edge. I went to Jeff Wyler Honda of Florence the next day, purchased my CR-V, and had exactly the opposite experience from what I experienced at Don Jacobs. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The absolute worst experience I have ever had. I understand that there are certain things car dealerships are "allowed" to do, but that doesn't make it right. They tried to sneak all sorts of hidden fees in at the last minute, When confronted about the fees, they explained that they have a right to charge basically whatever they want. My husband and I tried to get financing on our own through them, but were able to get a better rate with my dad using his credit union. When we went in to explain the change, they were incredibly rude, and told my husband that if we did not use their financing, we could not purchase the car. When I called to tell them what was up, they told me my husband was withholding information. We finally got the car, and realized the back wiper blade doesn't work. While the car was sold "as is" and they technically don't have to look at it, it would still be good customer service since I JUST purchased the car. Don't waste your time. read more

I dont know why I keep coming back to this place. I get the same result every time. Frustration. They can do what they want, charge what they want, etc because they can. They have zero competition. They now do. I will drive to Richmond or Frankfort before I will ever spend another penny here. read more

Interesting that the one other reviewer had a similar bad experience ... At first when I arrived, the salesman was very professional and knowledgeable. In fact, all the way up until we started to talk numbers was he incredibly helpful, friendly, and fact-filled. But then he lied to me (at least) three times and to his manager (at least) once! Let me recount my woes with the sale . . . He told me that Honda Civic's MSRP was only a $1000 mark-up in profit for the dealership, and "would I be happy to get $500 off that and allow Don Jacobs to only get $500 markup?" LIE #1. If that was true, then they got the short end of the stick, because the final agreed-upon price was MUCH lower than that . . . he was just being a salesman and playing to my emotions. Left telling him I could not make a decision until I had driven a few other cars and done some more research. I definitely did my research and found that the Edmunds average going rate was MUCH cheaper than what they had offered me - try $2500 less! Also, I had found another non-Honda dealer that was willing to give me $500 off the Edmunds price. I called Don Jacobs and gave them my offer - $500 less than the Edmunds price, take it or leave it. The salesman said "that is a great deal for you - let me check with my manager." Called me back saying it was agreed - I was ecstatic! He would get the car and paperwork ready and call me that afternoon to have me come in and finish the transaction. He called me about an hour later asking me to, if his manager asked, say that the other dealership I had mentioned was a Honda dealership in Nicholasville, because that's what he had told his manager to get me the deal. LIE #2. Seriously? You lied to your manager? You want me to lie to your manager? I wonder how many other lies you've told both me and him!! Of course I told him I would not do that. He stuttered: "Oh . . . Okay . . . just wanted to give you a head's up . . . I'll call you later." A few hours later I get a call saying, "Come on down! We're all set and ready for you to sign the paperwork!" LIE #3 - but more about that in a minute. I immediately jumped in the car, and living about 5 minutes away, I arrived fairly quickly. I entered, was greeted with a congratulations and a look at my key, sat at the desk, and was asked to wait for him to get his manager. The manager came, greeted me, and then said, "we have a bit of a problem." And proceeded to tell me that he had not looked at the deal closely enough when it had been presented to him and there was no way they could do it. Yeah right they were ready for me! They knew about this problem when I was told they were "all ready" for me - because there is no way they could have discovered it in the 5 minutes it took me to get there. Way to lie to get me into their clutches to discuss the "impossible deal." So, to spare the gruesome details, I spent 2 hours in the office listening to explanation after explanation of why the deal was not possible. In the end, I very reluctantly still decided to buy the car for $1000 more. It was still on par with the edmunds price, which is why I ended up being okay with it - that, and the fact that I loved loved loved the car. But I was so angry that I was giving them the satisfaction of having my business! In summary - they were knowledgeable and the car was amazing, but they lied to me and haggled me to get my business. I do not recommend them at all. They should know that honesty and customer service should be their top priority, and they WILL make more sales once they change their sales tune. P.S. The second star is ONLY because of the fact that he was incredibly knowledgeable about the cars and had obviously done his homework. Otherwise, they would barely deserve 1 star. read more

One star is not even low enough to describe our experience!. We have purchased 2 new vehicles from this dealership. I have seen the service quality deteriorate.I made any appt. for 1030 am appt . for a factory airbag recall. I was reminded by phone to be timely for my appt. or cancel the appt. I had to drive around 130miles round trip for this appt. We were told that we would be updated on the status of our repairs. I called multiple times for updates and was told there were some issues and repairs were not completed. Finally, we returned in our rental car at 230pm only to find that our car had not even been taken in for the service. When I questioned the service advisor, he stated that there were lots of vehicles on the lot that looked like that car. We looked in the car and it contained our candy. I then said you have not even started on our-- service-- yikes. Service manager stated- he would make it right--- sure let us wait longer. Forget it Don Jacobs. ----we will be going to Richmond to Gates Honda. We did not purchase the car from them---- but all future purchases will be from this auto group although they are located farther from our home. We also out a Toyota Camry-- so we know how the Gates auto group treats their customers. read more
