It was absolutely disappointing. The wings were as dry as could be. It was like chewing on…read morecardboard. We ordered a $4.00 passionfruit juice that was so sour that even after diluting it with water, it was undrinkable.
I got the $22.00 mofongo with garlic shrimp and extra garlic butter, expecting flavor and comfort. Instead, I got a mouthful of dry disappointment. The mofongo had a gritty, sand-like texture that I still feel in my throat an hour later. The shrimp tasted like absolutely nothing, no garlic, no seasoning. The onions were so dry they literally cracked apart.
The only saving grace was our server. She was kind, attentive, and even apologized for the food. But despite everything, I paid $22 for an inedible mofongo and $4.00 for a sour juice (yes I know passionfruit is not sweet, I make my own fresh passion fruit juice, so I know what I'm telling you) meal, no manager came to check in, and nothing was offered to make it right.
Yes, I still left a tip--because it wasn't the server's fault. But I will not be back. Cool ambiance doesn't make up for bad food and zero accountability.
