We stopped in to get a bite to eat after a long day of hanging out at the beach. This is the type of restaurant where you order at the counter then they bring out your meal to the table. I ordered the chuletas can can with tostones and my girlfriend ordered the rellenos de pana and the chorizo. She loved her appetizers. They were delicious. My chuleta was good but not great. It was a little bit over done for my taste. This cut of meat is difficult to cook because you have to get the chicharrón crisp without over cooking the chop portion. I enjoyed my meal it was seasoned well, but like I said just a tad over done. We had a good experience and would probably dine here if in the area. It was absolutely disappointing. The wings were as dry as could be. It was like chewing on cardboard. We ordered a $4.00 passionfruit juice that was so sour that even after diluting it with water, it was undrinkable. I got the $22.00 mofongo with garlic shrimp and extra garlic butter, expecting flavor and comfort. Instead, I got a mouthful of dry disappointment. The mofongo had a gritty, sand-like texture that I still feel in my throat an hour later. The shrimp tasted like absolutely nothing, no garlic, no seasoning. The onions were so dry they literally cracked apart. The only saving grace was our server. She was kind, attentive, and even apologized for the food. But despite everything, I paid $22 for an inedible mofongo and $4.00 for a sour juice (yes I know passionfruit is not sweet, I make my own fresh passion fruit juice, so I know what I'm telling you) meal, no manager came to check in, and nothing was offered to make it right. Yes, I still left a tip--because it wasn't the server's fault. But I will not be back. Cool ambiance doesn't make up for bad food and zero accountability. read more

Beautiful location with good breeze even on a hot afternoon. The dinning area is open so if you like outdoors, is a nice place to be. Quality is phenomenal, and that I can tell because we usually order the bigger size steak so we can share a bite or two. My wife almost had it all and I had to implore to get one tiny bite out of her churrasco. After tasting it, I totally got it. Portions are huge, maybe good for sharing. The shakes are order in another cashier around the corner and there are many options. I loved the Kinder bueno (chocolate brand) and was "muy bueno". This restaurant has so much potential. i'm giving 2 stars only because the outdoor seating is beautiful and covid precautions are being closely followed. However... The food was not enjoyable. The tostones were OK. same as anywhere else. My biggest problem is when I ordered a caesar salad. What i received was not a caesar salad as they had drizzled ranch all over shredded lettuce that looked a week old. 2 times I pulled disintegrating, soggy, brown lettuce out of my mouth! Usually packed on a weekend night, went instead on a weekday early afternoon. Service is like a deli where you order your food, they prepare it and call your name when its ready. So it has a very casual, open and country style to it. The food was great in terms of quality, everything tasted freshly made. I had an 'Argentinean burger' which is basically a burger with chimichurri sauce, which would have tasted amazing if it wasn't over-sauced, less is more with chimichurri. I had a side of sweet potato fries which were good but they were either not strained or strained incorrectly because they were a little bit too greasy. After reading the Yelp reviews my girlfriend and I decided to take a stab at this place. The timing couldn't be better, it's an outdoor climate, no tvs, no music ( which is nice for a change.) A full menu is posted for the customers, everything from appetizers to sides. We had the queso chicken for an appetizer and they were filling. For entrees we both had the chicken and steak fajitas, they include five thin pita wraps along with lettuce, tomatoes and shredded cheese. The chicken and steak were cooked great, plenty of onions and that finger licking good grease too! The portions were very sizable and filling, pretty good if your a traveler here and looking for a good dinner. Definitely recommended and here's a tip to help speed your service, just tell them your in a bit of a hurry:) read more

As far as food goes, the churrasco steak is tender and has the most perfect oily, savory "chimichurri" sauce. Too bad our experience was ruined by bad service. Just there (Feb 2019) with a church team on a rebuilding mission. We found this outdoor restaurant easily, with a large menu posted (in Spanish). Our team leader translated, and we were happy to place our order, choose our table and step over to the bar to order drinks. Great food - they ran out of the fish posted on the menu, but I had another wonderful white fish - fresh, moist, big fried chunks in almost no batter, and fried plantain. Large portions. Other team members had stuffed mofongo, and a chimichurri they loved, and big burgers (this island is American after all!)). Pleasant service. This is my go to restaurant when ever im in my home town, great food and atmosfere. Nothing better thn being aboe to sit down and have an authentic meal, not some frozen already preped food from a chin restaurant. The worst experience ever. You pay in advance so you order things that they don't even have available. They are very disorganized. I ordered a churrasco with rice and beans and maduros. They ran out of rice and beans. So we had to change the order. My son's juice never came but we paid for it and when we asked what happened they said they didn't have more juice. The churrasco was cold and had a lot of nerves. The problem is that you can't leave because you already paid for what you want and they don't tell you they don't have what you order. You get to know it like an hour later. They need to improve their logistics or the order to serve cause drinks should be served before food and that way is easier to know what they have left. I don't know if I would give them another try. read more
