Don Kruse has done work for us on 2 occasions on a home in Oroville. I do not recommend this firm for the following reasons: 1. Untimely performance. On both occasions, the job "fell through the cracks" and ended up taking over a month to complete an hour's work. 2. Poor communication. They don't adequately set or meet expectations regarding performance and do not respond routinely to emails or voicemails. I had to call them repeatedly to find out why work wasn't getting done. 3. Unfair and unreasonable pricing. Our most recent bill was $275 to reroute a circuit (which was a less than ideal solution, as it required a new breaker, but they didn't have the breaker on hand) and to install 1 GFCI outlet. 2.5 hours' time charged at $85 per hour, plus parts, for work that should have cost half that amount. Kruse apparently thinks they are "the only game in town" so they take advantage. And, they may be right -- which is why they can get away with it. From our experience, most of the contractors out that way are either useless or are crooks, so Kruse may actually be better than most. Which is sad. read more

don't bother calling them, they won't show at scheduled time, or at all. I called for service at our rental house "we will be there next week, we are busy" they failed to show up. I made another appointment, no show. have them one one more chance, as I was going to be out of town gave them a lock box code. after 6 weeks i called "we've been busy, we will call you back tomorow" I'm still waiting. I'm aware that Twisp is a bit of a drive from Omak, but tell me that when I call. If don't want the job don't take it. read more

These guys are great, but you've got to have patience. I got a package deal on an electric furnace. It included the right amount of labor involved. So there were no surprises as far as cost. They delivered on the estimate not a penny more. They told me it would be at least 4 weeks and they were here in 5 weeks, not bad. They don't give you a lot of heads up time. More like, can we come right now? All said and done Kruse Electric is the best you are going to find around Okanogan County. read more

Do not use this company. The electrician they sent out was rude & gave off the impression that I was lucky he was there. It was as if he was put out by having to do his job. Primadonna if I had to describe this company. It's hard to find a good service company with technicians who take pride in their work & who remain humble. If they weren't the only electricians available in my area, I would never do business with them. Very polite on the phone but completely inept in setting up appointments. I have been trying to get ceiling lights installed for 7 weeks and still no light in two rooms. Their explanations have been all over the place. "Nobody filled out a card, we will call tomorrow. If you are not standing by your phone or are in an area with no reception and they call, you are out of luck. They leave a message and you have to start all over from square one. As of now they say they're coming tomorrow. I don't expect anything at this point. If you can avoid this train wreck of a business, I would recommend doing so. read more

9/3/18 Called them to discuss a possible job at my house. They said they could do it and told me that they would contact me the following Monday to set up a time to do it. I had to contact them Wednesday (2 days after when they said they would contact me) to see if they still wanted to set it up. Took two more days for them to respond. They did finally respond and asked if the next Tuesday or Wednesday would work. I chose Wednesday. At 3:00 on the day they were supposed to show up I contacted them and asked when they were going to come. No response and I still haven't heard back (5 days and counting). Very unprofessional. Very unreliable. If this is common customer experience then I am shocked they are still in business. 9/4/18. They called me back today the day after I wrote my review and tried to set up a time to come do the job. When I tried to explain why I was going to choose another company the employee HUNG UP on me. Ridiculous. I wasn't being rude at all, just explaining my decision. I wish I could give 0 stars. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Classless. Zero regard for customer satisfaction. Learn from my mistake and stay away. They don't deserve your money. read more

They do good clean work, but not very good at calling you back or scheduling your job in a timely maner.

Courteous and proficient service. It takes a few days to obtain service due to busy servicemen, but servicemen follow-up with good service and completeness. Have used them several times. read more

I called for a routine service check-up on our furnace last fall. It took them two months to get out to do the service. They cleaned it and checked the refrigerant pressures. All okay at the time and I was billed $500+, which I paid. Two days later, furnace would not operate. It had been operating flawlessly for nearly 20 years. During their routine service, they cracked a refrigerant line and the system went flat. Called them and they came out the next day and fixed it. A few days later I received a bill for an additional $1700 for the repairs due to their faulty work. I have pushed back and they have lowered the bill to $700 for their mistake. DON'T USE DON KRUSE ELECTRIC! They do not stand behind their work or mistakes made by their technicians. I don't plan to pay the additional $700. I have documented everything and am ready to go to court. read more

I manage a mobile home park and we use them often. They are professional, courteous and show up in a timely manner. They have come to the rescue on several occasions and saved the day! I can't say enough good about them. Highly recommend them. read more

I gave 1 star but I wanted to give negative stars. First we called to schedule an estimate, nobody called back, we called again and had to leave another message. Someone finally called us back and said they would be there Thursday. Thursday came and into the afternoon still had not heard anything. So once again we had to call. They scrambled and got someone out to our house. He looked around and said oh well I'm going to need my boss to come take a look. (Also he left the power OFF to our refrigerator, left his drill, and left a cover he took off and laying in our yard for our dogs to chew up) So his boss came the next day and that was no help. He looked around and said he would get us a bid but it would be awhile cause he was leaving town. Monday came and no bid, Tuesday came no bid so I called and he said he would have it to me no later then noon. Well of course that came and went and I got it around 3 or so. When I looked at the bid I thought it was a joke at first!! How can they charge almost $2,200.00 to bring power from the house to the shop that's about 50 feet apart!! Do they just not want to do this job? Because that's how they made us feel so we will not be using Don Kruse Electric for these reasons and I would recommend you choose another company as well. read more
