Grabbed a breakfast burrito with egg & ham at a gas station on a road trip. SO good and came with fresh salsa!! Would recommend.

OK bread will do in a pinch. Downside is not much variety and a bit expensive. Not the worse or best.

By far, the best burritos in town! Always fresh homemade tortillas.... king city's hidden gem.

Flavor was ok but the overall burrito was a disappointment, tortilla was too soggy from the juices and the rice needed more cooking

The tortilla was home made and carne asada was tasty--not over cooked or oily like at other places in king city!

The handmade tortilla on the steak quesadilla was spectacular. Seriously, the masa alone was worth the visit. It was fresh, flavorful, and had that texture you only get when someone actually knows what they're doing with a tortilla. I ordered the goat super burrito without rice. Normally, when I hear "super," I expect sour cream and guacamole, but mine didn't come with either. What it did have, however, was what seemed like double the meat. And I'm certainly not going to complain about that. The goat was beautifully stewed, tender, flavorful, and incredibly fresh. Actually, everything here tastes fresh. And that's because it is. Everything is made from scratch, and you can taste the difference. It took about 15-20 minutes from ordering to getting my food, which is completely reasonable considering everything is being prepared fresh, on the spot. There was no one else in the restaurant when I ordered, but that clearly doesn't mean this place isn't busy. It was Friday, and there was a steady stream of people coming through to pick up bakery orders. Everything in the bakery case looked amazing, and judging by the number of people coming in, I wasn't the only one who knew it. I'm just a little sad with my visit, because you can't really see into the kitchen. So I didn't get to watch the woman making the masa, mixing it between her hands with that effortless rhythm that makes you wonder how many years, or generations, it took to learn. A rhythm taught to her by her mother, who learned it from hers. Then watching her fold, shape, and press that masa would be like watching history become dinner. There was generations of tradition, technique, and love layered into something you get to hold in your hands and eat. This space is immaculate and it has soul and sol. My only reason for not giving it five stars is that everything is to-go. I really wanted to sit down and enjoy this meal right there instead of taking it with me. With food this good, handmade, and fresh, I would absolutely love to have a place to sit and savor it. Great food, handmade from scratch, generous portions, and a bakery that clearly deserves further investigation. This isn't just a place making food. It's a kitchen carrying something forward. And that's a pretty special thing.

Mmmm. This place is just like mamacita's homemade cooking. It warms your soul. Buen Sazón! (Good…read moreseasoning) this place never disappoints. The Tamales are delicious and perfect masa to meat ratio. The Quesabirria's are perfectly grilled on the outside and melty cheesy on the inside. The Riblets in salsa are to die for! My mouth is watering. The Menudo is cooked to perfection with onions and cilantro and chile oil to accompany your bowl. Breakfast burritos are bomb (I ask for added refried beans) the arroz con leche is super satisfying. Like I said, this spot warms the soul

If…read moreyou're looking for authentic Mexican food and incredible fresh-baked pastries, I honestly don't think you'll find anything better in town. The bakery is attached to the café, and you can actually watch the bakers at work through the large windows facing the street. Everything is unbelievably fresh--from sticky buns and chocolate muffins to cream cheese and raspberry-filled croissants. It's almost impossible to leave with just one treat! The made-to-order burritos and plates are outstanding. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and you can tell everything is made with care. The ladies at the counter are always warm, welcoming, and bilingual, so even if you don't speak Spanish, ordering is easy and comfortable. They make everyone feel right at home. Because it's so popular with the locals, there can be a line during busy times--but don't let that discourage you. The service moves quickly, and it's well worth the wait. There is plenty of seating both inside and on the outdoor patio, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. The self-serve coffee is fresh and high quality, with fresh milk and all the fixings available. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or just a pastry and coffee, La Plaza Bakery & Café is one of those places you'll find yourself coming back to again and again. It has become a tradition for our family, and we look forward to every visit.
