    Carne asada taco
    Jim A.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. I ordered a carne asada taco. The taco was very reasonably priced. It came with onions, cilantro, and a lime. It had a regular sized tortilla. Overall it was a very good taco and very filling. Would highly recommend the taco.

Friendly people, fair prices, and most importantly...tasty food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It starts immediately when you take your first whiff as you open the door. This place smells like bakery heaven.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Do your self a favor and order a breakfast burrito with the perfect tortilla or a beautifully crafted croissant! YUM!!

We arrived around 7 pm on a Monday night because Yelp said Castro's closed at 8 pm, but the kitchen was already closed. They were kind enough to reopen it to make us an asada burrito and asada tacos. We were hungry and it was late so we really appreciated the good food and hospitality. We also got a bolillo and some plain cookies (4 for $1). The bolillo was soft and airy on the inside but not quite crusty enough on the outside. The cookies were simple but good. Their other pastries looked fresh even at the end of the day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom was clean but did not have a lock and the soap dispenser was broken.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This was a convenient stop off the 101 and we would stop here if we're in the area again to try their other offerings.

Yummy tacos on reg size torts , good sope topped w Adobada meat. In search of Baja style fish tacos, the one up the street was closed. Picked up some Mexican jello too , to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool colorful murals on walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our food was brought to us in timely manner. Nice attentive guy at the register.

Food was excellent. Service was great. We were very pleased with our meal. Definitely would stop by here on our next road trip. It's close to the Hwy, so it's easy to get in and out.

Stopped here during a road trip for breakfast burritos and it was a solid pit stop. I ordered the asada bacon breakfast burrito and my boyfriend got the carnitas breakfast burrito. The carnitas wasn't a great combo for us.That said, the hand-made tortillas were a big win you can definitely tell they're fresh and made in-house, which elevated the whole burrito. Overall, it's a good spot if you're passing through and craving a breakfast burrito.

Went in early morning to get some torta's and sweets on the way to Pinnacles NP! This is your MUST stop for freshly baked bread and goodies! The smell of fresh bread is like being in heaven Torta's were big, tasty and made to order! Make sure you can for extra jalapeño if you like spice.

Nestled in neighborhood-biz side of King City, comes Castro's deli! - For starters they open at 4AM, so no matter your road trip, you prolly have a chance to try what I considered the best Concha In most of California and/or the Monterey peninsula-area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Greeted with sweetness by their team, my eyes gaze to a colorful Mexican roadside bakery with local art and no frills, with a display case that glows beautiful baked goods, with fresh flowing racks on concha's, cookies, and other treats and the echos of the crew singing their hearts out while they cook in the kitchen[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (yes.. they even got fresh breakfast burritos with homemade tortillas from scratch! And soups!) This concha thou...Chocolate, fresh layers and the perfect balance of sweet, crunch, smooth, just hit me in all its glory like no other. OMG! And it was still a little warm... I enjoyed it with a big black cup of coffee! The concha+ 4 cookies + coffee put me at $5.15! what a deal, but they deserved another $5 for the tip and the size of the concha. I can't wait to go back on my way to horror nights and try the burrito! Gracias!

The food just lacks flavor, and there's nothing that really stands out. Honestly, it's the kind of breakfast I feel like I could make at home. The pancakes were just okay, and while the French toast was probably the best thing we tried, it was way too sweet for my taste. The portions are pretty good, and the service has always been friendly and fast, which I definitely appreciate. But overall, I just don't think it's worth the wait or the price. I really wanted to understand the hype, but after giving it multiple chances, it just wasn't for me.
