I come here every year just to water ski clean boats big lake I never see people water skiing anymore I think it might be out dated, you can rent other equipment to have fun. It's better then camping.

We've been here twice we love this place to camp it was our first time seeing a tarantula out in nature this time we came ! We will be coming back just being more mindful of where we walk lol !

    The view from our campsite.

I camped here in mid October as part of a larger group. It was my first time here. I had a really great time and was really happy with the campsites. Each site had a private parking spot for one car, a cement picnic table, fire ring with flip over BBQ grate, and a locker to keep your food safe from animals. There was also plenty of room to comfortably place your tent and gear. We camped at the Fleming Meadows camping area. It was $30 per night. That includes admission to any of their camping areas which worked out great because the hiking trails are down at the Blue Oaks camping area which is a mile or so back up Bonds Flat Road. The trail is about 3 miles and walks along the side of the lake. If you are into hiking it's a nice flat and easy hike with great views. Having seen both camping areas I recommend Fleming Meadows because the sites are very near the water and there is great beach access. Do not come here if you are bothered by tarantulas. They are everywhere. We saw at least 3-4 each day. They are harmless and leave you alone so if you are unsure don't let them scare you off. I gave them 4 stars because it's such a long uphill walk to the bathroom/showers.

There were boats and people swimming inside

When we arrived there was free of charge, but as soon as we got there. It really was empty and nothing else but the lake. I wish the place had more tables and restaurants for entertainment. Other than that the lake was more than a simple lake. I also want to include that I hope the people in charge of the lake enforce stricter rules on how one can bbq. For the reason, that some people were throwing their red plastic cups on the floor, and trash in the lake.

    Huge roaches

Been coming to this place for over two years ( flaming meadows camp site) until today 5-30-2022, I noticed there are huge roaches all over the campground. They swarmed the fire pit, rv hook up station, and rv tires. I didn't see them during the day, but it is completely different at night! I urge you to be extremely cautious when coming to this camp site you might bring this infestation to your lovely home. Truly disappointed and disgusted!! Will not be coming back to this place. wish me luck with this back home.

    Time to roll up

Water water water...... They have a fire work show here and it was really nice. Took the family out for my birthday weekend 6/27-6/30/2019camping and i had a blast. We will definitely use another camp ground though because I couldn't help but to think we were going to fall off the cliff every time we took the boat out.

Favorite lake in California, even in early November! Gates were wide open and the lake was still calm and clean.

Is there a nearby dump station at Don Pedro?

Are there any waterfront campsites at Don Pedro? We will be tent camping but we want to camp right there up by the water for swimming?

Yes at moccasin point campground, but there's only 5 sites on water: D-5thru D-9

We stayed in area CO9 and had a nice view to the lake and was close to the bathrooms/showers (the only bad thing is in area CO9 it has 3 bathrooms only and two showers and the campsite can get very full) It took a downturn when I went on the jet ski for the very first time. Everything was fine we passed the 5 min limit and me and two of my friends were also having a good time on the jet ski and it wasn't till on our way back to our campsite we caught a wave and the weight of the water on the jet ski caught us and flipped us over. Luckily we had our life jackets on and had other people close to the lake on jet skis and boats that were able to try and help us. They called the sheriffs that was keeping a watch on the lake and came over in the boat and was able to help us and even gave us a ride back to our campsite. I wasn't able to catch his name at the end but he had someone with him as well who is new and in training so we were giving him the full experience lol. But they were both really nice and very patient with us and they let us go by just giving us a warning. So thank you to the both of them for saving us. What I learned from my first year of camping; learned how to flip a jet ski in case it flips over, never wear your crocs and if you do keep em on sports mode or you will loose them in the water, and always carry a jet ski license with you or you will get a ticket. Other than that just want to thank the sheriffs that helped us on Saturday August 15. For your kindness and patience we appreciate it! :)

We stayed here in B loop site 25 over Memorial Day weekend. The site was FHU with a level concrete…read morepad for the RV. Each site has a concrete picnic table and very large concrete fire pit. There are burrs, goose poop and spiders everywhere. Tent campers are allowed to reserve FHU RV sites, and many do. There is absolutely NO enforcement of quiet hours. Other campers keep their music loud and the party going all night, every night. They literally never turned it down and were blasting it like they were at the club... 12am, 2am, 4am, 6am... ALL NIGHT. My kids and I couldn't get a good night sleep because of it. This is not a true family campground. It invites all the wrong elements, because they don't enforce the rules. Most of the campsites had WAY more than 6 people per site, which is another campground rule that definitely wasn't enforced. This is not relaxing camping. It's just non-stop loud music and partying. I would NEVER recommend this campground to people I actually like, and will never be returning.

This is a basic level 1-2 does not require helmets as River is calm most of the trip. Life jackets are provided, no glass it accepted, no alcohol, but you can bring an ice chest with drinks and snacks that fits great in the raft. They have spot down the River where you can park and jump into the River with a swing or off a rock... it's typically not recommended "swing at your own risk". We did receive a call before our scheduled day letting us know the River water levels are high and we all must be great swimmers or able to swim back to the raft in strong currents if we fall out. We sign waivers upon getting into the raft. They give you instructions very basic!! On how to paddle as a group down the River. They did have some strong currents, super high water levels but nothing a decent swimmer can't do. They had shallow calm areas this rafting can take up to 4-5 hours start to finish. They do have a shuttle at the end of the River taking you back up to the starting point. They also take a professional picture which can be found at the end of your trip on their FB page complimentary! This was awesome! Con: Parking completely sucks! Recommendations: take a lot of drinks to stay hydrated, take a water proof speaker for music, take ice chest, hat, and sunblocks!
