While driving, a rock hit my window requiring my front windshield to be replaced. I know nothing about cars, and truthfully was a bit afraid and paranoid about going to the service shop for something so important for my car. Someone broke the window to my car while I was at work. I called around the same day and got told it would be at least a week before it could be repaired. I called Dons mobile and the gentleman I spoke with (who I believe is the manager) was so helpful. He told me they could order the window and repair it the next day! I dropped my car off and forgot to tell them about the little chip I had in my windshield, when I came to pick up my vehicle they asked if I also wanted that repaired. I was grateful for them inspecting the other windows and fully prepared to pay for the additional costs. Jess up front let me know that normally insurance will cover the cost of chips and she helped me process the claim right then and there! Had an auto break-in on Saturday night - one of the windows got smashed in. Called my insurance on Monday morning and they recommended I call Don's in Turlock. The customer service at Don's got the glass ordered from Mercedes that morning. Glass came in on Thursday morning to Don's. I had to ask for a special favor to replace it same day as we were planning a trip in the car early Friday. After rearranging their schedule, they were able to do it early that afternoon - took them about an hour. Couldn't ask for better service than that. Leaving this review for my Grandmother. She had a couple of large windows replaced in her home, just over a year ago. The service was quick which was appreciated as one of the windows had broken. The other double pane windows were replaced due to some condensation between the panes. Unfortunately, since the replacement of these windows they now Hiss and Whistle on windy days. This was not an issue before the windows were replaced. My 83 year old grandmother called them back out at the time within a matter of days after the work was done to inform them of the new problem she was experiencing after their service. When the technician came out he told her that's just the way it often is as she lives in an older home. She asked if there were any even small superficial remedy they could provide such as caulking to stop the obnoxious noise that now comes from those windows. Again she was told there was nothing they could do and that was simply the way it was going to be. With all this weather and visiting for the holidays this issue has become very apparent to me and I find myself very disappointed with the service she has received from Dons Mobile Glass of Turlock read more

Not hearing anything from them on the 25th I called and the gal told me it could take a couple days for the estimate. It is now February 1st and still nothing from them. I've had several windshield repairs and a couple of windshields replaced here over the years, and have always been extremely satisfied with their work. Fair prices, good work, very willing to work with my insurance company, and friendly employees keep bringing me back. Recently my rental house had a hole and crack in a large picture window. I never considered another company for my glass needs, I called Don's and they sent someone out the next day to look at it. The window was eventually replaced and the installation looks great. I'm very satisfied with the job, my only complaint is that it took a week and a half to actually get the window installed. While we're all stuck at home I decided to take on DIY project that required four small cuts of glass. I called them up a few days ago with what I needed and they had it done within a few hours! This was way quicker than I had anticipated so imagine how excited I was when I brought them home. Only they didn't fit. I had ordered the wrong size. I called them up immediately and asked what can I do? They offered to cut down the side to what I asked. This again only took a few hours. I was stoked. They didn't even charge me. Turns out I measured wrong AGAIN. (I'll probably give up on DIY projects after this one.) But nonetheless I called Dons again and ordered new glass this time. What do you know got the size wrong for a 3rd time. FML. I again call Dons up and the graciously offered to shave off the small amount I needed. I finally got it right. Woke up one morning and found a small window in mobile home cracked. A friend recommended Dons mobile glass. Took the window and frame in and they took a look and asked its location in the home. They told me that the codes have changed and it needed to be replaced with tempered glass. I thought here we go this will cost an arm and a leg and take two weeks. Well I was very surprised. $51 dollars including tax . Picked it up the next afternoon. They also recommend some great glass cleaner, worked like a charm. Unfortunately my car was broken into a week ago and their choice on entrance was through my passenger side window. I called Don's and two days later Benito and Con did and outstanding job. The guy hit and smashed my window so hard, he damaged the motor part that allows my window to go up & down. Benito called his supervisor who told him to try and repair that as well which is not their job but they went ABOVE & beyond so that I didn't have to worry about going to the dealer and paying more! I thought that was so nice of them to do. Benito called "Con" who came out and assisted. They got their tools and got my window to go up and down like it should. Don's in Turlock has performed two services for me over the last year, and both have been excellent experiences. I had to get my windshield replaced last year and Don's was significantly cheaper and had more availability than other options. The windshield was replaced within the week that it cracked! Also, they came out to my work for free. The second service was a few weeks ago. My car was broken into the window was shoved all the way down into the door frame. Although the glass window was fine, the part underneath the window in the driver's side door needed to be replaced. I called Don's and was able to take my car in that day so they could assess what needed to be done & temporarily prop my window up while parts were ordered if need be. A part did need to be ordered, so my window was propped up and I came back a few days later for the part replacement. Don's successfully installed the part, but an issue arose with the automatic roll up/down feature on the window. Don's tried everything they could to get it fixed, but ultimately decided it was something only a Honda dealership would have the tools for. I was a little upset because I had already paid Don's a good (but fair) price to fix the window and I knew from calling Honda it would be at least another $125 for them to fix the little issue. Don's assured me that they would be taking care of the dealership bill, which I was very pleased with. All in all, I have been very satisfied with the quality of work done and the level of customer service I have received from Don's. I would recommend them for any glass service! read more

I called earlier in the week to schedule someone to come out and take a look at my sliding glass door. Door itself is fine, I think it just needs new rollers. Anyway, I was given an appt for Friday, which was a few days out but worked with our schedule. I was given an appointment window of 8-12. At 8:47, I received a phone call to let me know that both installers had called in sick so they'd have to cancel my appointment. I get that these days of COVID are really unpredictable, and people are dropping like flies. Nothing they can do about that. But a reschedule wasn't even offered until I asked. Then I was given a time slot on Wednesday, which is mid week. I took it, but when I got off the phone I started thinking... taking an appointment Wednesday means I am being put at the back of the line, behind everyone who had appointments AFTER my original appointment. I think whoever was canceled today should've been given first priority Monday and everyone else pushed back. Sure, that's a lot more work, but it's also a lot more fair. My husband called and suggested this and was basically told (by Sam, who is extremely rude), "That's not the way it works. That would create a domino effect." Yeah, maybe, but it would also be a lot better customer service than booting someone who has already waited 3-4 days to the end of the line to wait an additional 3-4 days while giving priority to those who haven't waited as long. Guess what guys? You're not our only option. We called Paul's Glass and explained our situation. They sent someone out within a few hours to take measurements and order replacement parts. We were so impressed with their customer service that we had them look at a few of our windows too. My husband is a contractor and has referred customers to Don's Mobile Glass consistently for the past 15 years. That ends today. read more

Terrible. After paying for a glass table top with specific dimensions, they said it would take 2 guys to deliver it to me. For this they charge minimum of $200.00. So I picked it up my self and it was easy to maneuver by my self. I didn't measure it when I picked it up but I did mention to the guy it looked small but he insisted it was correct. And when I got it home it was too small. They tried to tell me I asked for that size until I showed them the copy of the tag they gave me with the correct size on it. So they took it back, apologized, and said it will take another 2 weeks. Then I insisted that they deliver it to me for no additional cost. It was clearly a mistake they made and now I've wasted my time. No, no, no, definitely cannot do that at no cost. So now you can eat that glass. Mistakes happen all the time. It's how you fix them that matters. Customers pay your bills and keep you in business. NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY GET OUR BUSINESS. We have been doing business with them for 20 years. Some jerk smashed one of the windows in my car in the middle of the night. I got quotes from a handful of other businesses who wanted me to wait a couple days before they could even do anything (including some national brands that advertise everywhere). I called Don's, and someone was at my door within two hours with a brand new window. The whole process was fast and easy, everybody I dealt with was very friendly, and it ended up costing less than the other, slower places quoted me--plus they came to me so I didn't have to drive anywhere with a busted-out window.
