We were given menus to look at while we waited so by the time we got to the counter, we were ready to order. The baked goods aren't on the menu, so when we walked by the counter filled with croissants, kouign amann, bear claws, apple pie, cheese cakes, it was hard to choose what we wanted!! We ordered: the Alamo Burger: a 8 oz wagyu beef smash burger , served with a fried egg, caramelized onions, cheese on a crispy croissant bun. It was incredible and worth the 15-20 minute wait! Almond croissant - a monster sized, flaky croissant with a generous almond filling. Guy Fieri highlighted this croissant on his DD&D show. It's probably a million calories not worth it! Tequila strawberry tres leches croissant - a small, cream filled croissant with strawberries. This was our least favorite. My husband didn't like the filling, I didn't like the sogginess of the croissant. Coffee - really good brewed coffee with free refills. We plan to go back a few more times while we're in town!!

All of the food we had was good, but when I want fajitas, Pappasito's is my go-to. Anyway, both meals were delish. Good salsa, good queso, great fajitas, cold beer...what's not to love? Service was very good and our server took great care of us. Drinks refilled, checking on us, etc. All in all, a good place to visit for some tasty food!

Considering the holiday crowds and the fact that we had a reservation, our wait time was reasonable. Things were extremely busy, and the wait staff were clearly working double time. We were served chips and eventually salsa, then placed our drink and food orders. We also ordered beef fajitas to go for a family member who couldn't attend. Our table ordered a family platter, enchiladas, beef fajitas, and the Shrimp Brochette. The fajitas were tender, the ribs were well seasoned, and the Shrimp Brochette had just the right amount of spice and heat. Other family members ordered another family platter, shrimp tacos, and lamb chops. Our server, Jorje, did an amazing job considering how hectic the day was. He kept drinks topped off, cleared plates quickly so we had room at the table, and made sure our family of retired and disabled veterans, along with military dependents, received the military discount. The mariachi players going table to table were a nice touch. We got a lively version of "My Girl," which everyone enjoyed. We also received lovely Mother's Day gift bags that ended up being perfect for transporting leftovers. Then we hit a snag. Our to-go order never came out. We waited, asked about it multiple times, and were repeatedly assured it was coming. Eventually, we were told to-go orders would take much longer. By this point, it was around 4 p.m. and we had been there since about 2 p.m. When I asked for an ETA, we were told they couldn't provide one. After waiting even longer, we finally requested a refund for the meal we paid for but never received. That process also took quite a while before we finally received a corrected receipt showing the refund. Everyone was apologetic, and the manager did try to make it right by offering a gift card, but it was still disappointing that one family member's Mother's Day meal never appeared. Overall, we still had a nice day, but this experience reinforced exactly why I dislike dining out during major holidays and peak events. I do think this situation could have been handled faster and communicated better. Thankfully, my parents handled everything with grace, and everyone made sure the staff was well tipped.

Show me your best Caesar salad in San Antonio and I'll put money that it's not better than here…read more That's it, that's the review lol All jokes aside, this salad is amazing. The pile of cheese, the sharp taste of anchovy that I LOVE! Chefs kiss, just order it. The pizza was great too. Nice cheese to pepperoni ratio

As far as the food, we had the fried mozzarella, which was essentially a log of cheese deep-fried and served over sauce. It was delicious, but the cheese-to-crust ratio was a bit heavy. The Caesar salad looked better than it tasted. It was very wet, if that makes sense, and the lettuce seemed soggy. Now for the Wagyu ragu. This almost made me have a seizure, and not in a good way. It was extremely salty and completely inedible, so we had to send it back. The waitstaff was very accommodating and agreed that the salt level was way off, so we replaced it with the carbonara. I'm not sure if that's what authentic carbonara is supposed to taste like, but I did not enjoy it. It tasted burnt to me and had too much pepper. I also didn't care for the shape of the noodles. Last, we had the Americano pizza. It was decent, but nothing to write home about. I just think that if you're going to advertise a pizza with meat on it, there should be more than one piece of sausage per slice. As far as the service, our server was fine. Not particularly friendly, but straightforward and efficient. The manager (or another server) was helpful when it came to replacing our dish. Overall, I would not go back. The location is great and the vibe is nice, but the food was a miss. Save your money and go somewhere else.

We've definitely experienced more attentive and engaging service elsewhere. I asked our server if the bistec taco was a top seller, and she seemed to take that as me ordering it which I get, things get busy, but it felt a little rushed. For appetizers, we ordered the guacamole and the chile con queso. The queso was actually pretty good and probably the highlight of the meal. The guacamole, however, fell flat for me. it definitely needed salt, pepper, and a good squeeze of lemon or lime to bring it to life. As for the entrees, I ordered the bistec tacos and was honestly disappointed. The meat was rubbery and lacked flavor. My husband got the shrimp aguachiles, and the shrimp were extremely soft almost raw and just tossed in the sauce. The presentation was beautiful, but it was missing that bright citrus and seasoning that really makes aguachiles shine. The seafood overall had a fishy/shrimpy taste that didn't come across as fresh. My mother-in-law ordered the Torre de mariscos, which leaned heavily on soy sauce and ended up overpowering the dish rather than enhancing it. Overall, the food just didn't wow us. Maybe my expectations are a little higher as a NOLA foodie, but this one missed the mark. Would I go back? Probably not.

Every. Single. Time. Maury made my wife feel at home by speaking Portuguese, which made her day. Even as I write this in the lobby, a waitress just stopped and asked if she could get me some water. On top of making me feel like royalty, they were all incredibly friendly and joined in on our conversations, even bringing my wife a flan that had "congratulations" written in chocolate after we told them that we'd just received incredible news this morning. Now to the food. Every bite, of everything, was heaven. They source their meats better than any other steakhouse I've been to, and it shows. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked and melt-in-your-mouth. Will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing time.
