So good I have to taco 'bout it. I had the opportunity to try this food truck when they catered for an event I attended and it was SO BOMB that I had to write a review! They offered chicken, asada, and adobada tacos. Additionally, they offered tons of sides - rice, beans, grilled onions, grilled jalapenos, and lemon! Service was so quick considering so many people at this event were getting tacos too! I opted for the tacos adobada and the meat was so incredibly flavorful and delicious. Easily one of the highlights of the night was having these tacos!! So glad I had the opportunity to try it and if I ever need a good taco truck to cater for an event, I would definitely keep them in mind.

What a Taco Truck...the stuff of your dreams... ***CASH ONLY*** Finely, a 'reason' to even be carrying any here's the skinny: Open M-Th (6-11PM) and Fri-Sat (6-1AM) this truck is situated right off the street in the parking lot of a church, just north of Fresno Ag on the LEFT side of Fresno Street. Parking is ample and it's not some frightening area where you're looking over your shoulder getting ready to cram a taco before making some emergency escape maneuver. There's 3 large tables and ample chairs. Families seem to love it here and they were doing a brisk business when I arrived at 8PM. You order in the front are given a vibrating/lighted disk and pick up is from the left side of the truck. There's a nicely stocked selection of bottled drinks in an ice chest AND a fresh beverage section where horchatas and other things are being served. They even have shaved ice with various flavors and toppings. They were nice enough to just pop a sample over to my table... Not into 'sugar' sweets at all but politely accepted the gesture for what it was... I ate alone at one of the tables and felt well separated from others, even with a couple straggles that sat at that same table. It was relaxing and fun to watch the large families hanging out and socializing. No a-holes, swearing, cars driving by with excessive 'look at me' music volume or exhibitions of speed. No obnoxious music, no obnoxious mariachi band. Very chill... The crew was friendly enough and I tired one of the vampiro tacos and a regular taco. Having dipped my toe in the pool and determining the water was MORE than fine, I took the full plunge into the deep end with another plate. I didn't want to come out! The food was very flavorful, perfectly portioned and some next level textures going on. Each bite was one of gratitude and pleasure.... The carne asada was splendid, some char, big flavor and cut into small pieces. The carnitas was flavorful/moist. The el pastor was an interesting slightly spicy version and the chicken was perfect, too. Everything was delicious! It was the best of what you might hope to experience at a new taco truck you hadn't tried before. Apparently, this IS a consistent venue for them and they'd been serving there since 2019. Good! Seems to be a family affair and folks here seemed general pleasant and happy. It was just a cool experience and the food was memorable. Nice since it's just a few miles out of from Moon Base Alpha (yes, the name of my home in Old Fig). Thank you Lord for the resources and these options that help enhance the pleasures in life! Thank you also for the talented people working up their magic and taking such pride in it. A blessing! -G

Vampiro Tacos

This is a great food truck. I've struggled to find a half way decent taco truck in Fresno. It seems like all the taco trucks that I've been to just serve mediocre and inconsistent tacos. Then I found this place and decided to give then a try. They exceeded my expectations. So it's a food truck, but it's pretty much always there. I've eaten the chicken, pork, and Shredded beef. By far, my favorite is the shredded beef. It's perfectly spiced. Not only is the meat good, but the toppings is great. All the horns stuff you'd expect (cabbage, cilantro, lemons, chopped onion, cucumber and radishes, but also items you wouldn't expect (boiled lento breads, grilled Serrano peppers, and grilled onions). Oh, and of course, fresh red, green and avocado salsa. This place not only had great flavors, but gives a generous amount of food for the price.

Easily the most distinguished taco place in Fresno. Everything being homemade, the ingredients are fresh. Asada and adobada are very well marinated. You can smell them right after you get off from your car. Red and green sauces are good as well. Huge variety of food options; my favorites in addition to the regular street tacos being the mulitas, vampiros, and quesabirrio. The drinks are also refreshing. In addition to the horchata, Agua de Jamaica is very tasty. Authentic Mexican + very good music and vibe. They are also open until late! Good for late nights when I'm hungry :D

Quesabirria tacos LOL

slowest service ever, they weren't even busy, they weren't taking cards and they werent displaying that they weren't either, they wouldn't let you know before ordering then at the end they would say "cash only" and tell you to go to the nearest atm if you didn't have cash. We waited maybe 20-30 minutes for our order of 7 tacos lol Quesabirria tacos were a disappointment, salsas have no flavor to them at all

Greasy soaked quesadillas

I'm hoping I caught them on a bad night but if so it is a horrible night. The quesidilla I got with just chicken and cheese by the time I got it home and went to eat it, I pull the foil off the plate and the entire tortilla is soaked in grease, flip it over so is the other side and other half of my tortilla completely inedible. Then the vampiros tacos I got 4 adobada the entire bottom part of the tortilla underneath the meat had this black char from the grill they decided was either a topping or some extra wait in my taco and to top it off the asada fries I got the topping were decent and the only thing I ate because the fries were soooo undercooked they looked clear and just crumbled when I picked it up.

Asada fries tasted like oil. They were dry and really nothing in it bedsides some greasy a** fries and meat! Didn't even carry beans which is different but whatever.. I am not going back regardless of how hyped they are! I never rate things but.. nope.. these fries were a straight up no. I attached an image as well

La Mexicana Bakery & Taqueria - Carnitas and adobada tacos

This place is officially bookmarked for every future drive through Fresno!…read more The lengua and chicharrón tacos were honestly some of the best I've ever had. I also sampled the carnitas on top of crispy taco shells as well. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the tortillas came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Every bite reminded me why simple food done right is hard to beat. I was hoping to try the mojara frita, menudo, and barbacoa, only to find out the menudo and barbacoa are weekend only specialties. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed, but it also gives me a great reason to come back. What really stood out, beyond the food, was the hospitality. David, who appears to have been running the place for over 20 years, was incredibly charismatic and provided the kind of customer service that seems harder and harder to find these days. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. One of my favorite parts of the visit was when I saw the owner come out and greet the regulars and customers. The interactions felt sincere and heartfelt, not forced. There was a real sense of community here, as if customers weren't just patrons but part of an extended family. That kind of atmosphere is special and says a lot about the people behind the business. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming environment--I'll definitely be back, hopefully on a weekend next time.

The people were nice and the place was good, though maybe the chairs can be updated. But will definitely becoming back here for often and recommend this for anyone to try.

Fantastic find while in town for a sports tournament!…read more My family and I were in town for a sports tournament, looked up highly-recommended Mexican spots on Yelp, and Miguel's popped up. When we arrived, we discovered it is actually located inside a Mexican market, which is always a great sign for authentic food! We ordered three super burritos, drinks, and an order of chips and guacamole. We dined inside their nicely renovated dining area while we waited. The food was absolutely fantastic--the super burritos were massive and made with high-quality ingredients, and the guacamole was phenomenal. The staff and cooks were incredibly nice, attentive, and welcoming. We left completely full and made sure to thank them for the superb food. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town for a tournament. Thank you to the staff for a job well done!

We went about 6 PM so not sure if going to a different time would've made a difference. The service was pretty good. There was only two people working. The gal that helped us didn't know how to add my points to their point system and had some issues with the register, she was OK. My wife has the chicken tacos I had the asada. We both left Mexican food, and we both feel that we are very fair when it comes to the food value and the taste. As far as the taste, the meat tacos were a little rough and gum like, probably from sitting out too long. The chicken tacos actually fell apart as my wife was eating them, and the chicken was very, very overcooked so again, probably sitting too long inside the burner. They do not have the right ABC license so you can't drink alcohol and eat hair even though you're sitting inside a liquor store. Overall an okay place, there's so many selections of Mexican food in Clovis, this one was so so.
