Unfortunately I did not even get to dine at Don Tellos. My family and I went in for dinner just after 7pm on Friday, March 13th. We stood there waiting for the host to seat us. They were distracted by a server then another patron who pushed their way ahead of us. I ordered the super steak chimichanga and my sister the super shrimp chimichanga. Though it presented well , we were disappointed to see that it was a burrito covered in cheese ( the distinction of a chimichanga is that it's deep-fried, ) this was not . As I cut into it to taste the steak I was disappointed at how flavorless it was I've had many steak chimichangas and to my surprise this was stuffed with strips of steak with unseasoned onions and peppers and loads of sliced tomatoes. It tasted flavorless my sisters shrimp was also flavorless . We added salt ,pepper, pico and queso to bring it to life but sadly nothing could save the meal We barely ate half . I will say the cheese or queso that we ordered for takeout isn't a little 2 ounce container and it's probably not worth the amount that they are charging unless you're sitting in the restaurant. The food would have been good only if it would have been sanitized and clean. Unfortunately the view that I was able to see of the kitchen allowed me to observed what was going on in the kitchen which was not sanitized. The servers were touching everything in the kitchen (dirty dishes, mops, brooms, picking up stuff off the floor) and then touching food as well. Prior to my food being presented to my table I informed my server I no longer wanted the items due to what I had observed and was informed that I had to pay for my food or I would go to jail. The manager on duty was a young woman who refused to listen to the customer and insisted on me paying for food I had yet to receive under the circumstances. The mannerism of the manager was subpar and rube. I understand she has a job to do but when you observe the uncleanness of an environment why would you eat there. If you go there be on caution. I don't recommend Din Tellos. My review is based on the surly customer service. I came with my service dog and they made me feel very uncomfortable. I was not happy with the way my server slid my plate on the table. Maybe they felt some kind of way about my service dog? The food was ok, but not seasoned very well. My drink tasted syrupy as well. I told the manager that there was what looked like a toy under my table and maybe someone should pick it up. The service could use some improvement. I went on a Saturday afternoon and they were moderately busy but not super packed so our party was seated right away. They provide chips for the table along with two types of salsa. The initial basket of chips was greasy and were crumbled so i asked the server for fresh ones.
