Fajita (chicken, steak and shrimp)
Arisa L.

My husband and I visited the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon (around 12:30) and the place was empty. The service was fast and friendly. The music was blasting way too loud, I could barely hear my husband sitting right across the table in an empty restaurant. They have ample parking and the restaurant was big and clean (didn't go to the bathroom though). The chips we got in a beginning were a bit dry. Although I didn't take a picture, he had a burrito and loved it. I ordered the fajita (picture) and I didn't like it too much. It was under seasoned and bland. The biggest surprise was that the soda cost $4.50 each (so $9 just for 2 pops). It was a fountain soda and I think it's a bit too overpriced.

Food is awesome. My favorite for Mexican food Also got ala carte cheese enchiladas with onion. Tex mex reminds me of old time places like Don Pablo's and Casa Gallardos

Taco loco

The service was friendly. They were not prompt at all. I ended up getting up to request my check after a while. They had some sort of live music. It was festive for sure however it was very very loud! I ordered the taco loco. It was HUGE! The taste was just . A friend ordered the chimichanga with lobster it was really really good! Perfectly flakey.

Sex on the beach

Very good food, loved the lights! The sex on the beach was to die for but it was a little on the loud side. So make sure you are into that vibe. Our waitress was very night and quick paced for being busy. I absolutely enjoyed every bit of dinner. Would eat again

Tostada with fish, shrimp, octopus, avocado, pico de gallo, and lime and a piña colada. The seafood was very fresh.

Furnace restaurant. It's very clean and I can tell the food is freshly prepared. I've been here twice and it's as good as the seafood that I ate in Cancun Mexico.

Enchiladas Supremas

The food was just ok. Their presentation is everything! LOOKS great but tastes bland. Very friendly service. They have Spanish culture karaoke. It's extremely loud. Good thing we just chose to eat outside. Very good vibes overall. One could definitely feel like they've traveled somewhere on vacation by being there.

Service is always fast and the staff is very friendly. The food is very consistent and a great place to grab a quick lunch!

Cold, unmelted cheese
Amy M.

I've been coming here regularly since 2010 and the restaurant has changed hands at least twice since my original review. After several disappointing meals in the past 6 months, I have to recommend going elsewhere. My dinner combo #3 certainly looked good, and the taco was delicious, just ground beef and cheese. But the chicken enchilada was cold inside. Worse, the poblano chili was uncooked/crunchy and the cheese wasn't even melted. Usually these are dipped in batter and fried, but the waitress confirmed this is how they serve them now. I think the sauce was probably hot when it was put on both the chili and enchila and then the whole plate was run under a broiler, but both were cold by the time I finished the taco. Historically, the fajitas and burritos here are very good and their margaritas are still excellent. Maybe stick with those.

My enchilada Supremes whuchcwas actually a N enchiladas verdes :)

I sit at the bar and I'm greeted by something I've never had ever...chips served with 2 red salsas, a verde salsa and bean dip! Usually you just get chips, a small bowl and a carafe of salsa, help yourself. This set the tone that this would be different than usual. I ordered steak fajita nachos and a Modelo Negra. I powered thru the chips and bean dip like it was my job. And it didn't disappoint. Really fresh and flavorful. Nachos are nachos, right? Wrong. How they are assembled has everything to do with their mouth feel as they cool down. I've had nachos that come out looking amazing but as they cool, turn into a disappointing chuck of chips held together by shredded cheese cement. These stayed loose with crunchy bites of peppers and onions, and the cheese sauce coated instead of becoming cement-like. I always order the same thing when trying a New Mexican spot. If the nachos are good, chances are everything is good! So I'll keep the almost 5 Star steak going. I agree, some of the best Mexican food in Columbus.

Hmmm. Looks like an old Rax roast beef spot. Inside it had a festive vibe with a Mexican mix tape playing over the speakers. The gentleman takes my order and grab a booth. He takes your order and makes your food fresh! Fajita nachos Al Pastor with a Victoria beer. The Victoria draft came out in a frosty mug and it was cold cold. Yes!! As I'm waiting for my food, more customers start coming in. Made me feel better lol. I swear the music playing is a recording of a DJ at a wedding lol. Out come the nachos and they look amazing. He also brings a little stand for my cell phone so I can eat and watch YouTube. Never have I had that offered to me at any restaurant. His hustle, service and smile was appreciated. The nachos were really good. The marinated pork, cheese sauce, fresh chips, chunks of pineapple, sour cream and salsa verde just came together well. Bonus points for the cheese sauce. Not to mention I watched him prepare everything thru the glass counter. He's back there having fun then brings your food out with a smile. Love it. If it were super busy I don't know how he would keep up, but I appreciate his hustle. Yelp, your recommendation didn't disappoint. We each had different dishes-- Green Chile Stew, Three Sisters (I asked for a combo of chorizo and beef and they said, "Of course!"), Sandia Sopapilla with shredded beef. All were excellent and were attractively plated-- it wouldn't have mattered, but it was those little extras that really elevated the experience. We were also given a bowl of their latest salsa to try-- sweet and mildly spicy watermelon! We are regulars here and always enjoy the food and the pleasant ambiance, but this brunch was truly exceptional. We ended our meal with a plate of puffy Sopapillas with honey to share. Delicious! **This is New Mexican and NM-inspired food, not the same as Mexican or Tex-Mex.** If you're not familiar with it, you may ask for samples of sauces and meats before you order! NM cuisine is less about piles of cheese and taco shells and more about the flavors of their regional peppers (which they fly in fresh here!). It's a blend of Mexican, Spanish and Pueblo Indigenous foods, not American-Mexican. Our server was friendly and provided great service. I started my meal with a beer. They offer many popular Mexican Lager style beers on draft and in cans. They also have rotating drafts. This was different from most brunch items I tried but it was very good. The green chile pork had a bit of heat for me but I still enjoyed it. The tortillas, sauce and queso were all excellent. So I adopted the nacho system lol. I ordered nachos with shredded chicken (the shredded chicken being the tell all). The chips were fresh, lightly salted and thin. Perfect. The chicken was seasoned (delicious!!) and shredded exactly how I like it. Guacamole, just the right amount and again, on point. Cheese sauce, yellow and not clumpy, consistent to the last chip. Sour cream drizzle. Listen, I haven't been this excited over nachos ever. This was possibly one of the best plates of nachos I've ever had. This tells me everything else on the menu is probably above the average Mexican food experience. I will definitely be back to try more of their items. And for $10.99?! I believe it was an authentic margarita, not the sour mix.
