It's been a long time since I've been in a Chuy's for a meal. I've already eaten in several other Chuy's in Kansas City, Cincinnati and Polaris/Columbus but this was my first visit to the Easton location. My wife and I were there for lunch and were seated promptly. Our server was great. She was there right after we were seated with chips and salsa and to take our drink orders. They did bring me chips and salsa, what they brought on additional dip and didn't even explain to me what the dip was without me asking. Finally decided to give a try since they are all over the Columbus area. I had low expectations since I'm not a fan of chain Tex-Mex restaurants. Well the meal lived up to the low expectations. I went with the Green Chile Enchilada & Chile Rellano Meal and got it with the chicken rellano. The batter on the chile was very salty and had no taste. The enchilada was okay. Also I asked for the hottest sauce which was milder than the table salsa that came with the complementary chips. The rice was very bland. Best part of the meal was the beans. Today my husband and I went to Chuys at Easton for a late lunch. We shared the Panchos. This is their version of Nachos but 100 times better. The chips are Tostada's and they are loaded with the meat of your choice. We picked ground beef. They also included refried beans, cheese, Pico de gallo, jalapeños and guacamole. The dish was served fresh and very hot. Each chip had plenty of toppings and was plenty to share. We also had the complimentary chips, salsa and jalapeño ranch dipping sauce which absolutely love. Our server was super nice and attentive. Highly recommend getting the Panchos if you go. The atmosphere/ambiance had a cool vibe and I especially love the larger than life Palm Trees. read more

Had to make a mid week run to Costco this week, and my daughter and wife were hungry, so figured on hitting up Chuy's. Hadn't been to a Chuy's, since we were in Fort Worth. I always start with the cleanliness of any establishment, and this Chuy's get's an A+. The portion of food you get here is quite generous, the shrimp tacos were great. The fried shrimp in the taco had a light crunch when you bit into it, which was delicious. My daughter had the taco salad, and the chicken tacos, which also hit the spot. Could not finish everything, ended up taking 2 plates home with us, which my son devoured later that evening. Service was very friendly, and quick. A very nice touch was the to go bag of chips at the end of the meal, plus to go drinks for my wife, which she appreciated. Kind of surprised that I hadn't left a review for this location but, apparently, we eat more often at their Polaris location. Regardless, always a good meal. This time we decided to go away from our usual Chuychanga and Mexi-cobb salad and try something different. And we weren't disappointed. We ordered the Comida Deluxe and the Tex-Mex burrito bowl. SEVEN WORDS Great Tex-Mrx and Great Value / Highly Underated. . We were walking in the Cold in Easton and Ducked in - Just by Chance. I was Surprised when I checked the reviews and Chuys Easton is a upper- middling 3.4. Stull, we are ALWAYS EAFER for a New Place and this place also reminded me of Chi-Chis. . The inner foyer is predictable, but clean and inviting. We were first in line, but it was 344pm, so that's a traditional lull in hospitality, so no big whoop. . The Waitress appeared quickly and provided us with Nachos and three sauces: Spicy Buttermilk Ranch, A Medium-Heat, Chunky, Red Salsa, and a Guacamole Dip. Tge Chips were thinner tgan usual, but no differently flavored than Chipotle. The Sauces; however, were all quite yummy. We were hungry, so these disappeared quickly. We held onto the Ranch and Quac for our Entrees, as they arrived rather quickly - definitely under the traditional 11-minute standard. . My wife ordered Chicken Flutas while I had a Chimicganga. Both dishes came with Spanish Rice &Refried Beans - which sounds ho-hum - but the Spanish Rice was as yummy as any rweve both ever had - and my Wife eats Rice DAILY. . MY Chimichanga was a bit less traditional. The outer tortilla was beautifully crisp and flaky, like a savory Mexican Baklava pastry, filled with a fine mix of shredded beef, some veggies, and filler of some sort. It filled my senses - the crunch was fantastic, the inner crust flaked - almost like a fresh croissant, giving way to the filling. There were hints of both onion and garlic powder, but both were mild. Also, there was a bit of chili paste, but none too much. This reminded me of the Opening Days of our Lox Chi Chis, or better yet, the ill-fated Casa Gallardos! However, the ambience was as good as the best chain restaurant, but without the whirling raw of children. . Thank Goodness for that! . I've rambles a bit...so, on to the flutes! The wrap of these fat taquitos was similar, but more crisp. My wife supposes it was a variation on rice paper Wrappers, because it was the best sort of crunchy. The 3 flutas (?flutes?) were about 5 inches long, an inch or so across - so a little meager - but these were just as tasty. An added bonus was the Chocolate Mole Sauce, which was closer to dark chocolate than milk...and that was an upgrade, too. . Two entrees + two Sodas cost $41. . To put that in perspective, two chicken finger platters from Raising Canes is $36. Six total Fingers + 2 small pills of Fries. . WOW! How is this place 3.4? . We really love chuys. The New Mexican martini is probably my favorite margarita in town honestly. It's not the greatest Mexican food ever but it will hit the Tex Mex craving. The portions are large and they will neatly split your meal in the kitchen if you request. Queso is good and the shredded chicken is probably my favorite meat. Had a great experience yesterday during a Yelp Elite event at Chuy in Easton. Keep in mind that I have been to Chuy in the past and have had a great experience but this experience is based on the event from last night. The event was at 6:30 PM and we were to try menu items and watch some dancing. First of all, the restaurant is decorated perfectly for a Mexican restaurant. We had a little back room where we were able to all sit at tables together and enjoy the event. I have been to Chuy in the past for happy hour and highly recommend it as they have free chips and queso and salsa, the list goes on. They also have really good happy hour drinks. I had not had all of the salsas are the dips until last night but I highly recommend boom boom dip. All the menu items that we tried, we had small portions so keep that in mind. I'm a big fan of the rice, it's the normal Mexican rice that you get at Mexican restaurants but better. I also really liked the panchos, they are like nachos but a big brother. Nachos with your choice of fajita chicken, fajita beef or seasoned ground beef in guacamole. Yum. Don't get me wrong, we did try a lot of menu items but that was my favorite. The last item that I want to talk about is a tres leches dessert because it's AMAZING! Yum!!! I seriously mean that. Chain Mexican Food can be blah sometimes. It really can. But Chuy's is pretty darn good. One thing I remember is the happy hour nacho bar. Mmmm good. They did not have that today but that's ok. Celebrating my nieces high school graduation at her favorite place. I decided I wanted Nachos. So I went big and got Panchos!! OMG... so good. "Like if nachos had a big brother. Nachos with your choice of fajita chicken, fajita beef or seasoned ground beef & guacamole". I chose the fajita chicken. Amazing!! I highly recommend. Ordered a sub online, I didn't think the order went through the first time, so I pressed the button again. When I went to pick up dinner for my 8 year old daughter and myself they told me I had 3 subs on my order. I explained to them it was a mistake and I just needed the 1. I was told "I'm not gonna sale you 1 cause you ordered 3. You can take all 3 subs" I told them I didn't need all 3. And frankly I can't afford 3. It was an ACCIDENT. I was then told that "I'll put a note that says you can't purchase anything online unless you pay for your food first". It was my sisters birthday and our parents came into town to celebrate. Our service was truly awful -- had to remind the waiter to refill beverages, walk around to find them to order apps/main courses, forgot to place an app order, and the worst was walking around clueless trying to find utensils when our food arrived because they literally forgot to bring us some. Our food was cold by the time we started eating because I also couldn't find any other waiters to help us. The boom boom sauce was so good, I will be coming back just for that in the future. Probably also if I want something light for lunch. However as a side it was $4.39 which I found to be crazy when I saw the bill. I would just ask to substitute it as a sauce on main courses because it's expensive otherwise. Other than that, it's pretty average Mexican food. It falls under on the border in terms of food. We placed an online order while out and about. They have several dedicated parking spots for carry out right in front of the restaurant. The food was filling and tasty, definitely Tex-Mex as described in the name. We had a steak burrito with Hatch Green Chile sauce (they have an impressive selection of sauces from which to choose!), cheese enchiladas with ranchera sauce, Mexican rice, and refried beans. Always love the fresh chips and dip here. There was no wait on Labor Day, which was nice compared to other places in the Easton area. It was crowded, but we had a nice evenly spread out dine-in service. Disappointed at there not being much options for mocktails. The lemonade I got was just plain soda machine quality, not fresh. I love tacos and wished there were more of a variety for tacos and sides here. Most all entrees have the rice and bean sides, which are okay. We ordered the usual chika chika boom boom. I held the rice and refried beans on mine and got fries instead. The hot fries with the sauce and entree is a great bite! I recommend trying it. We got the tres leches cake to go. Have been coming to Chuy's for 11 years+ and this unfortunately was not the typical experience. But this isn't the first time it's been that way at this location. Service was slow, our server didn't seem to be very well trained. We ordered queso with guac and beef, he never brought it out. When our food came we asked if we could get it...he brought out just plain queso. Then we ordered fajitas for two but it was barely enough for one and only came with 3 tortillas. The mgr eventually came by to tell us that what we got was the standard amount...however as he was telling us this the people at the other table had a huge plate of fajitas compared to ours. Said he wouldn't discount the fajitas to the price of the single serving, but gave us a coupon for a free queso.. Needless to say we won't be coming back. We've been to a ton of Chuy's locations, including the original and have experienced way better service and and meals. read more

First time eating here and I don't think I would ever be back. The waiter recommended the steak fajita burrito with boom boom sauce. It was basically a tortilla filled with steak and beans...nothing else. Then it was covered with this sauce. The portions where huge but to be honest the taste didn't allow me to eat it all. I guess I was expecting more from this dish. The salsa on the table wasn't good at all. It was basically puréed tomatoes. I couldn't taste any other spices or herbs. So I found it bland and boring. The atmosphere was really more of a novelty. Decorated with old hubcaps and cars. It was cute that they will put up pictures of your dog if you bring one to them. We went to try Chuys for the first time for lunch. After seeing some pictures of the food we decided to make the drive. First, our server had to keep coming back to our table because he kept forgetting what we ordered. The queso and salsa were pretty good. The Pancho nachos were dry, with hardly any cheese, and the ground beef had no flavor at all. My husband said the steak burrito was ok but the sauce they claimed to be the hottest he requested was either the wrong sauce put on it or just wasn't hot. He said their salsa was hotter. Chuy's is a fun spot. Beautifully decorated, with awesome processes happening in the kitchen. They make all of their own sauces, fresh tortillas and chips, and delicious desserts from scratch in house, and they have excellent flavored Margaritas, Mojitos, and more. The service is great at this location at Easton-- kudos to the staff. The owner, Heather, is in the restaurant almost every day and she is a delight. The quality is always very consistent! The steak burrito is the house special, but you can't go wrong with most any of their dishes. My only small complaint is that the queso is a bit thin-- so is the main house salsa. They are tasty though, and perhaps it's not so bad for me to eat TONS of queso in that case. I would definitely come back to Chuy's for happy hour with friends in the future. read more

When eating Mexican food for me I'm always like what's the difference between fajitas, enchiladas chimichangas and everything else they all seem the same and the sides are definitely the same . As soon as you sit down chips will arrive. They have a good salt taste to them to entice you to get a good cocktail . So I communicated this to the server and I said I'm going to lean on your choice for me and she chose Chicken flautas. It was a Very good selection. Nice crunch and flavors. I always have a problem with the so called salad which is a couple pieces of lettuce and diced tomatoes. Lol it can fit in your spoon. The scoop of guacamole was larger than the salad. The sides are very small. I usually ask for more rice and refried beans at most Mexican restaurants and you have to do the same here. Service was excellent. Milla helped me greatly. Nope. Not sure why this is so popular, but I was not impressed. First visit, had a couple frozen drinks at the bar. Just ok. Second visit, sat at the bar again and had frozen for him, a beer for me. We both had food, and again, not impressive. I had the Comida Deluxe. Bland. We moved down a few seats because of water dripping from the vents above. The bartender was lacking. I had to wait to get her attention more than once when she was socializing with coworkers and/or a person at the bar who was either her friend or an off duty worker. I will not be back. read more

So good every time. I took my son to Chuy's in Dallas and he fell in love with it too. One opened in Columbus so we took a little road trip. The chips with the creamy jalapeño dip are amazing and really are the highlight of every visit. I usually get their chimi, stuffed avocado, or stuffed chili peppers. When we arrived, my wife asked the hostess if we could be seated in a booth. She said no, because it would "overload" her servers. Within minutes of us being seated, people were seated at two different booths near us. Service was very slow and inefficient. Water arrived slowly, as did chips. He said he would bring salsa "when more is made" because they were out. Within minutes, servers at other tables delivered salsa to those diners. After we waited a while, my wife flagged down the hostess and asked if we could get some salsa, and she grabbed it and set it on our table within 30 seconds of the request. Drinks arrived slowly, as did food. A positive is that the food was hot when it arrived, not cold. Food was okay at best. We don't live in Ohio, and we're just visiting. I was excited to see Ohio had chuys! I frequently went in Texas! The queso was mostly bean dip. The chicken enchiladas lacked chicken and the tortilla was so old it was chewy. Almost had to use a knife. My sons burger tasted like charcoal he didn't even eat half of it it was so dry. read more
