Tried this place over the weekend with the family. The atmosphere was nice and all the staff was very nice. The girls enjoyed their kids' meals and the chips with salsa we got once we sat. Both the wife's and my food seemed like we didn't get a lot of meat. I'm not sure if it was a fluke or not, but I had more mushrooms and peppers, and she had more onions and peppers than meat. My meal did have a good flavor, which helped with a lack of meat. We will be back to give it another try before we decide if this place goes on the rotation. read more

It needed more seasoning and seemed to be lacking protein. If I did a value comparison between this and Chipotle Bowl. I think I get more value from Chipotle and comparable taste. I did get a to go order for a friend a la carte, and it seemed to be more food, less cost. Atmosphere - lots of tables and lots of people. It was a fun time. Been quite a while since we stopped by... Las Margaritas is a really good Mexican restaurant. Wifie and I enjoyed our dinner. It has that similar Mexican restaurant vibe as far a the interior decor. The food was really good... Wifie had the enchiladas plate which was good. I had their combo meal which was also good and a lot of food. The salsa was good and chips had a hint of lime. Las Margs is always excellent. I've never had a bad experience here. I usually order the same thing at every Mexican restaurant, but I wanted to try something on the more health conscious side. I ordered the chicken tortilla salad, and it was delicious! It was a bit smaller than I was expecting, and I didn't taste any of the dressing that it said it came with, but I was able to eat the whole thing. Don't even get me started at how great their queso is. Our group went through three things of tortilla chips, and they'd always bring us more with perfectly warm chips. Appreciate a kids menu, I actually almost went to another Mexican restaurant but it was unclear how to order a la carte for picky kids. When we did, 2 kids got cold french fries and one got cold chicken nuggets. Table next to us, who sat down after us, got their food at least 15 minutes before us. I started when I began my time at Otterbein in 2014, a college student to a full fledge adult, can't wait to have Las Margs see each milestone in my life!! They have such an adorable, colorful little place!! I think the only thing to say after a few years is clean a lot better, it is very dirty/dusty in the restaurant and the restrooms are absolutely atrocious. The food is still the same & authentic!! We're still reluctant to do the "dine-in" thing but have been trying to patronize our local restaurants by ordering takeout. Last night we had a taste for Mexican and decided to order from Los Margaritas. I ordered the Grilled Steak Super Burro and it was huge. Lots of tender grilled steak with all the fixings. My wife ordered the 2 chimichangas. They were served with the melted cheese and sauce on top which would have been better if we had been dining in. Since we were doing takeout, the cheese and sauce made the fried exterior a little soggy. But, after scraping off the sauce and cheese and putting the chimichangas under the broiler for a few minutes, they crisped up nicely. One was chicken and one was ground beef. Excellent - once doctored up to account for takeout vs fine-in. We also ordered a large order of chips and salsa which was truly large. Very generous portions. The salsa was billed as mild but had a little bit of a kick. I personally thought it was perfect. Ordered online and the system said my order would be ready between 5:45 and 6:00. For the past few years, I am not a total fan of Mexican food. For some reason, my taste changed and love to hang around different Mexican restaurants. It is always been a tough decision as there are quite a few places that are decent around town. The first time I came to Las Margarita is with my colleagues and decide to come back for the second round. The interior is completely filled with Mexican theme décor and attached with a mini bar. The server quickly approach with a bowlful of chips and salsa. Their menu is quite extensive and I did take some time to decide what I want to order. I do highly recommend the shrimp bake. The tender shrimp along with the slightly browned cheese on top over a bed of rice. The dish can be a bit oily, but thanks to the grill vegetables that come along side to balance it out. I would said that there are some dishes that I don't typically see from the Mexican's menu. Las Margarita is definitely one of my favorite place as they have some unique menu items beside the typical tacos and burritos. The server is very nice and food is awesome. read more

My husband I go here a few times a month. They are consistently friendly, the chips come out right away so even if you have to wait a bit for food you're in good hands. Wow! I'm picky when it comes to Mexican food is AMAZING! I'm going to go ahead and say it's the best Mexican food I've ever ate. I've been to dozens around the country. Even south on the border.. everything is good. The rice was cooked perfectly. It was fluffy and delicious. I got the fajita quesadilla. The peppers and onions were cooked really well, unlike most restaurants that undercook them. The chicken inside was actually seasoned. Waitress was super nice as well!
