Got my daughter a Watermelon Yakult drink with coconut jelly in it and a Watermelon slush drink with coconut jelly in it. Didn't get around to trying my daughter's drink. I enjoyed the Watermelon Slush, but I think I actually liked the Watermelon Mango Slush I had previously better than plain Watermelon Slush. Seems like the Watermelon drinks are going to be a limited time offer but I kinda wish they'd keep them around permanently!

I went into this location at 930pm as this is the only Body Energy Club that closes at 1030 on a Friday night. I went in to get the usual and one of the item is the liquid l carnitine. Upon paying for them there were two workers, one asian guy who I think makes smoothies and another guy with darker skin and long hair who I believe does cashier and customer service. I wish I knew his name, he was SO informative and very knowledgeable. I always get the liquid L'Carnitine as it gets into my system fast, he told me I should be taking 2-4 tbsp. I didn't know that and only been taking 2tbsp since summer as it states that on the bottle. He also suggested to take the pills as it lasts longer and told me how much to take. He also shared his experience with pill formed L carnitine when he was prepping for his show last year. We also talked about nutrition and how I dislike salads. He told me I just need to find a good salad dressing and wrote a dressing recipe down for me as he loves salad and how he makes his salad and salad dressing from scratch. I have never experienced such customer service or knowledge until yesterday. I have been to many locations and the staff has always been helpful, but yesterdays experience was something else. BEC, please find out who that guy was and tell him good job!

This is in a sketchier part of…read moretown - I went at night once and got followed partway home by 2 other guys who were lounging there for a few blocks until another pedestrian stopped them. During the daytime it feels a bit safer. At any time of day the place is pretty loud. Service is quite slow, especially around meal times when there are alot of people. Expect to wait almost 10 minutes for an order. For some reason the drinks take the longest. I once waited 15 minutes just for them to pour an apple juice. This time my food was pretty abysmal. I got 2 orders of fries and both were barely even warm and were pretty soggy. My ice coffee was also not sweet at all even though I asked for extra Splenda. It seems that now you have to always ask for ketchup with the order instead of them just giving you some. A bag for takeout also costs additional fees. Food is about the same as every other McDonalds. Meals are pretty expensive now even with the McDonalds app - regular-size meals start at around $10 before tax when on sale. The $5 McValue meals are pretty worth it though. The pies are pretty good value at 2 for just over $2.

This location has drive through service; therefore was a default choice on Kingsway, when in need of a quick bite or an iced drink on hot days. Yet, out of our four drive thru visits, only one order was correct...25% accuracy rate is not high! And to rub salt on wounds, that one correct order only had two items: an ice cream sundae and an iced coffee. Note to self: take time to check all items are in bag before driving off. Actually, I like their staff and find them overall friendly but this location's order accuracy has gone haywire and operations are not organized, especially when busy. I have tried twice to order from counter but the service was even more slow and on both occasions, I can see angry customers at the counter, commenting on wrong food, slow service and staff skipping their order number by mistake. In short, this is not an ideal location to expect "fast" food service but I will prob return to their drive-through service for convenience. There are other drive through options on Kingsway like Wendy's or White Spot but this is the only McDonald's in the surrounding Edmonds/Highgate area. ...on a positive note, this may be the universe way of saying we should try for healthier drinks and food options elsewhere.

Wish the attendant would stay at her booth my checkout keeps asking if I still want to continue and it's about to time out. Aside from that. I love this location. It's walking distance from my house. And very good location near bus stops.
