Ice cream cone and ice coffee~
    Edward L.

This location has gone downhill in recent years. The seating area is now filled with some rather colourful characters mumbling to themselves, and the tables are sticky and gross. Guessing there aren't too many other locations to hang out late at night around this part of town. The staff here seemed completely swamped. I felt bad for them. My order (ice cream cone and ice coffee) took 15 or so minutes to come out, as there were a pile of takeout orders in front. This location is better for takeout than dine-in.

First meal of 2022. Nothing too special about this McD. The McD looks big from the outside but its actually very small inside. The layout isn't great at this McD. Social distancing is in place at this McD. However, due to the layout the dining area or seating area or available tables are very limited. Every one of the tables were dirty when we came except the one by the broken door. We ended sitting at the one and only clean table. Because we came on January 1, 2022 and it was super cold outside, we felt the cold child coming right at us from the broken door/sliding door that won't close. We ordered our food through the app. One of the items in our order got missed and they cleared from the machine. We had to get a hold of someone which was not easy and to inform them about the order/item they missed. Also, I ordered a Big Mac and when I got my Big Mac, it was cold. There were a lot of people working on that day. Seems like majority of the orders are through drive thru, curb side pickup or through delivery app. There were people waiting for their food at the counter. Seems like in terms of speed, this McD isn't fast. Definitely not the worse and not the best McD. It was slightly below average.

Food always tastes amazing, always fresh and service is good! But the tables and the inside is not the cleanest always, I would always see messy tables with crumbs on them, but overall it's a great location!

As I have yelped in previous posts, when I travel across the borders or overseas, I must see how the local McDonald's is faring. I found one locally in Burnaby, British Columbia with a drive thru. I had a very large order and was impressed that the young lady was very accurate with the inventory. I guarantee I would have to repeat my order at least 3 times in the States. The payment window is different from the pick up location. They took their time with the order, making sure the order was accurate, which I appreciated. The beef has a different taste than the States on the Big Mac. Overall, I was pleased on the customer service and the food quality in Canada.

How not to prepare coffee: Make it, let it sit on a counter for 15 minutes, forget to stir it, then serve it to to the customer.

I was in the area for an event on a weekend morning, had a spare hour and was looking for a quick snack. As I had some McDonalds coupons, I decided to make a quick stop at McD's to pick up an Egg McMuffin and coffee. I attempted to get into the drive thru but there were approx 20 vehicles in the queue and it was lined up to the street. I decided to park and walk into the restaurant to order. Two of the four kiosks were down and there was only one person taking orders. I waited 10 minutes to order my breakfast. And I waited another 18 minutes for my food order. Yep, 28 minutes to get an Egg McMuffin and a coffee. I noticed that the staff were making coffees and placing them on a counter. I counted 22 cups of coffee sitting on the counter. Apparently the staff make the coffee and wait to match it with the food orders. Not sure how this is an acceptable practice to have your coffee sitting on a counter for 15+ minutes while they attempt to make your food. Surprise...the coffee has cooled and somehow they also forgot to stir it. It was a very negative food experience and I would not recommend this McDonalds...ever.

this is the worse mcdonalds ever! they can never get an order right! the first time i ate here i order fish burger/ nuggets and fries. i asked for tartar sauce. i got my order and walked home. so happy to eat but they gave me the wrong sauce( they gave me sweet thai) wtf. so now all my food is cold. i walked back and demand all my food fresh again which they did. they once again forgot the sauce. fucking dumbasses. so i got home i ate the fries and nuggets , ready for my fish burger but the fish burger patty was hard as a rock! i went back again to complain ... they made a new one, i had to check to see before i left the restaurant. second time i order a fish burger no cheese the box was labelled no cheese but guess what fucking there was cheese. this proves this generation kids can m't even work at a mcdonalds never going back!!!

Both drinks were made exceptionally well; impressively smooth, foamy, balanced, and clearly prepared with care rather than just being an afterthought. What really makes this place special is the atmosphere. The vibe feels genuinely inclusive and community-driven, with thoughtful touches like the pop-up bookstore featuring books on race, gender, and queer authors. It feels like a space built for connection, not just coffee. I also love how it transforms depending on the day. The daytime café energy is cozy and welcoming, while on select nights they stay open longer, serve alcohol, and host regular events like DJ nights, board game nights, and other community gatherings. It gives the space a lot of personality and makes it feel alive beyond the usual coffee shop experience. Definitely one of those places that feels more like a neighborhood hub than just a café. I'll be visiting a lot more soon!

For drinks they have multiple types of hot chocolates and an array of non-coffee beverages - maybe I have found my new spot... We ordered a Pumpkin Chai Latte and a Pumpkin Spice Belgian Hot Chocolate and a Macadamia Marble Cookie. I like that for their hot chocolate you get to choose if it's milk or dark, I opted for dark. We found a table and I do appreciate the table signs that say to limit your visit to one hour. Honestly, more places should do this to stop people from treating a cafe like their living room or a library. I do feel like Delicia is on the overpriced side for what it serves. The latte was almost $7 and the hot chocolate was $8. I don't think that the drinks aren't worth it, it feels like mixed powder and nothing note worthy. When a menu is too big, it makes me question what is actually good, because even for a small cafe, you can't do everything good. To top it off, our cookie had a hair on the plate, very unappetizing. I don't think that I'll be back.

It is a small space, but full of personality and charm. We ordered a Matcha Latte ($7), Japanese Latte ($7), and Matcha & Black Sesame Moffin ($1.50/each). The restaurant is beautiful with both Indian and Japanese design sensibilities. They have a table service restaurant with both high tea and an extensive a la carte menu, and it looks like you can also buy mithai in bulk. The food isn't really Japanese-Indian fusion as you might expect, but more like Japanese impression of Indian food, if that makes sense? There's a few hints of Japanese and Asian influence, but the menu is mostly modern Indian. All vegetarian. There's no vegan or gluten free options for afternoon tea, but the a la carte menu includes many clearly labeled vegan and GF dishes. I wanted to try the afternoon tea set to get a wide sampling of their offerings. The set included: corn spinach puff, paneer tikka slider, cream cheese cucumber sandwich, samosa, chutneys for dipping, manchurian skewers, orange cranberry scone with whipped cream, rose rasmalai cake, dodha crunch, motichoor cheesecake parfait, and the choice between masala chai, coffee, or hot/iced caffe latte. It's $32/person for the set, which is a great price. I also appreciated that it was possible to order the set for just one person since it seems like many teahouses will only do it for 2+ people. I thought all of the items in the set were pretty good, and there was a balance between the sweet and savoury items. The only things that really left anything to be desired were that the scone was a bit dry and crumbly, and I thought the tandoori paneer could have been more flavourful. In general the flavours of the savoury items were a bit more subtle than in typical authentic Indian food, but for the most part it didn't come across as bland to me, just a different take on it. The standouts in the set were: the paneer slider - even if the paneer itself didn't impress, I loved the almost flaky texture of the pav - the manchurian, and the rose rasmalai cake. Also, the cream cheese cucumber sandwich had cilantro or chutney or something in the cream cheese which made it much more interesting than the plain version of this sandwich. The masala chai (my chosen drink) was also very good. It was served in a pot that contained 2 small servings. My waiter was very friendly and stopped by a few times to check in. When I was done eating and wanted my bill, it was easy to get his attention. I visited at what seemed like a quiet time so I didn't have much competition for attention. One thing that I thought was odd was when he gave me the machine to pay, there was no tip option - it would be cool if they had a no-tip policy, but I never saw any mention of it, so I wonder if he accidentally bypassed the tip when putting in my charge. It was an interesting and very pleasant experience. I was so curious about this place that I made a trip out from Vancouver just to try it (and couldn't get anyone willing to go to Surrey for afternoon tea with me, hence the afternoon tea order for one), and it was worth the trip!
