Wow... where do I begin. I guess I can start by saying the whole team at Donald haack is amazing!! In the beginning I was unsure as to what jewelry store i would go with to help me create a masterpiece that my girlfriend would love. After some research, I ran across a few reviews for donald haack. They had a great reputation for there customer service and the quality of there work, after further research I decided to give them a call. I spoke with Christina Holmes, she was very polite and welcoming... As a guy, buying and engagement rings can be a bit stressful but Christina made the process extremely enjoyable. She answered all my questions and had a no pressure approach throughout the whole process. Christina showed me a variety of settings and stones that fit my budget and stayed within range of what I was looking for as far as Cut, Color, Carat and Clarity. Any insecurities and questions I had, she explained and was very passionate about making sure I was knowledgeable about the choices I had and making sure I was satisfied with the end result. I decided on a halo pave with a round brilliant center stone.The ring was sent off and I was happy with the decision I had made. A couple weeks later I received a call from Christina letting me know, the ring was ready. I stopped by a few days later and was stunned with what I saw. The ring was so BEAUTIFUL!!!, it actually exceeded my expectations. I proposed on April 21st and when I opened the ring box, my girlfriends jaw dropped. She was mesmerized.. For someone who talked all the time, she was speechless. I was so happy with my decision to go with Donald Haack , I felt accomplished. If you are looking for a jewelry store who won't make you feel pressured, who treats you like family.. ( they remembered my name after the first visit) who is very knowledgeable about all aspects of jewelry. Who puts customer service and quality first. Look no further than Donald Haack!!! After months of researching and contemplating, I am so glad I found Donald Haack. I initially wanted to go to a big jewelry chain like Kay's or Zales but after looking online, I decided to go with a local family owned business. This is when I found Donald Haack. At the time, they were rated 5 stars with ~13 reviews and after purchasing with them, they deserve every bit of that rating and they work hard to provide the best customer satisfaction. I worked with Justin who was unquestionably the best "salesperson" I have ever met. I hesitate to even use that word "salesperson" since right from the get-go. You ARE NOT pressured to buy. They are merely there to assistant you and guide you in the right direction. Not once, throughout the whole process did I feel pressured buy or get hit with the "buy or get lost" attitude. They are very knowledgeable, patient, extremely honest and their personal service is bar none. Justin and I spent about a ~2.5months trying to get the best diamond with my budget. He stayed in contact with me throughout the whole process via text messaging when new shipment of diamonds would come in, picking out diamonds that meet both my criteria and budget, and scheduling a time to meet with me to examine the diamonds. In the end, we narrowed it down to 2 diamonds. Both were amazing but one had just a color grade step higher. I ended up taking the one with the lower color grade since it was more wallet friendly but I DO NOT regret decision one bit. The ring came in last week and you would not be able to tell it is a J. I learned a lot about diamonds these past few months and I honestly can't say enough good things about Donald Haack. From their knowledgeable staff, personal service, and the best value for money diamonds, they are the most definitely the best jeweler in town and I am a customer for life!! read more

Buying an engagement ring can be stressful. I researched diamonds online for months and then went to some stores in Charlotte. I was overwhelmed and never quite comfortable UNTIL I went to Donald Haack. When I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by Jennifer. She listened as I described what I was looking for and assured me should could find a perfect diamond for me. She looked through many diamonds and even flew in a few that she thought I would like from across the country. She was extremely patient with me and answered all of my questions. She helped me choose the perfect diamond and setting, it was exactly what I envisioned. Needless to say, my (now) fiance LOVES the ring. I wanted to choose a place that would take care of me, not only during, but after the initial sale. We found that in Donald Haack. The ring was a little loose, but not so loose as to need a full resizing. Jennifer suggested adding "speed-bumps" to the inside of the ring to make it fit a little tighter, which also has the added benefit of keeping the solitaire upright. Understandably, my fiance didn't want to give up her new ring but they were able to do the work and have it back within 2 days (and she absolutely loves it)! While I primarily worked with Jennifer, I've spoken with other people at Donald Haack. They are all extremely friendly and professional. I walked in after doing some research on what types of diamonds to look for and where I should go. I knew the 4 C's coming in, but until looking at a diamond in person, it is hard to tell what they really mean. Justin Smith was careful to not educate me further without being condescending. Never did he try and put me in a high pressure situation or even force me to buy from his store. He educated me further on what feathers and clouds were and where to spot them. I got to see multiple diamonds side by side so I could see the difference in the 4 C's as well as clean diamonds vs. ones with clouds and feathers. Justin even went as far to help find nice restaurants with a quiet setting for me to go out on the proposal dinner. The time came where I picked a diamond and had it set. I was comfortable with the price and felt I had made an informed decision. When I came to pick it up, it was perfect. My fiance had no idea that I had done this and was truly shocked when I proposed. She thought it was gorgeous and loved it. All her friends keep using the work "perfect" when they see it. I must say treating your customers with respect goes a long way and giving them the best quality for their money is icing on the cake. I cannot say enough about about the wonderful people at Donald Haack Diamonds. I went in to purchase an engagement ring, and Jennifer Riley was nice enough to help me out. She was extremely thorough in her explanation of the process. She brought out a variety of options based on my budget, and was wonderful about breaking down the differences and nuances of each diamond. Conquered. Exactly how I felt about the engagement ring buying process after working with the amazing staff at Donald Haack Diamonds. As a first time diamond neophyte, I was initially extremely overwhelmed with the level of stress and decision making that is required for something so important. After 3 visits to very nice, but inferior jewelers, I found myself at Donald Haack. Within minutes I felt at ease and was never once pressured into anything. They're most interested in you being well informed about the process and making sure you get a fair deal, no matter where you decide to purchase your diamond. Spoiler alert: after walking in here, there's no way you're going anywhere else. I was at home, and well taken care of. I cannot express my gratitude enough towards the team at Donald Haack. Laura Shannon helped me from the minute I stepped into their beautifully lit store until the minute I walked down the aisle...she even sent me a happy wedding day text the day before the wedding. I did lots of research on a jeweler to go to for my big purchase and stumbled upon this family owned business in Southpark. I can tell you that the reviews that I read were spot on. Best jewelers in Charlotte! My wedding rings were purchased at Diamonds Direct, however I never heard good things about their service. I called Jeremy to get information on getting my rings sized; I called on a Tuesday and was heading out of town that Friday and really wanted to make sure my rings were secure for my vacation. He said no problem! Even though their turn-around is normally 2 weeks he had my rings back to me that Thursday! And they are perfectly sized and more beautiful than ever! We worked with a wonderful woman who is no longer there, however when we were getting our wedding bands we started working with Jennifer and she was just as wonderful.
