Great customer service on the phone, followed by the same with another cashier upon arrival. Not sure how long the Hanford Mall will stay in business, but I hope Doner Box is prepared with another location in the likely event of a shut down. I've visited this place only 3 times in the past 5 years. Yet they remain extraordinarily consistent. I get one item, the Combo plate. Every time I get it I find that it is PAINFULLY DELICIOUS. Their white meat is flavorful and tender. Beef is scrumptious. Hummus is buttery smooth! The pilaf is delectable. Flatbread and sauce are good. Salad will wake you right up, but is hit or miss. All in all the plate is a 4.6 out of 5. ($16 at this time of 11/2024.) The food court isn't terribly full, with lots of seating. There's a restroom nearby (with a fella talking in a stall with a lady on the phone about whether she still has the possession of the product and that their boy got shot... but that's for another time, children!) I have eaten at only a few other places when visiting this town, but make no mistake, I really do not care to. Taste like a low grade food chain "Tofas." SERVICE : Is good and decent. They do take forever to make my 1 plate though. I waited for a good 20 minute. RATE: (3/5) AMBIENCE : It's in a mall. FOOD : CHICKEN AND BEEF KABAB PLATE This plate came with salad, hummus, pitta bread, chicke and beef kabab, and a side of asian chili garlic sauce mix horseradish. - Hummus - taste like costco hummus. RATE : (1/5) - Salad - they did great. Taste like "Tofas" salad. RATE : (5/5) - Rice - very soggy. The way they cook it seems like a lazy way of cooking rice pilaf. I dont see no char rice or angle hair pasta. It seems like they just cook it with chicken bullion or chicken stock. It is well seasoned though. RATE : (1/5) - Beef and chicken kebab - the seasoning is not on point or close to Tofas because it's lightly seasoned with flavors and spice. The texture of the beef is over cooked and a bit hard. It was also very salty; I couldn't taste any spice. The chicken texture is perfect. It's not so dry and over Cook. It's juicy and herby with season and spice. The meat portion is pretty small. I got 3 small beef and 4 small chicken. RATE : (3/5) - Grilled Veggies - barely any grilled veggies and selections of veggies. It's just mostly grilled onion and a few pieces of grilled bell pepper. The grilled veggies taste really good. It taste really close to Tofas. (4/5) - Sides - a regular pitas bread. The side dipping sauce seems like horseradish on the bottom and asian chili garlic sauce. The sauce is ok. I think it taste better than the hummus though. PROS : It's sad that they don't give out free water cups with a purchase. They're not generous at all. Well seasoned moist chicken with the tangy delicious sauce and with the hot crinkled fries makes a perfect meal! The service is great! I love this place and the workers are so friendly!! For the amount of food you get for the price you can't go wrong. I always get the shwrma meal which comes with fries and a drink and it comes out to $8.00 even. It's so filling and satisfying. I've gotten their chicken and rice plate before but I wasn't a huge fan of that, the chicken was super dry and I ended up not eating it just the rice, just stick to everything else haha also the falafels are tasty! I sometimes work in the area and this place is one of my favorite eateries. I think it says a lot that a mall food court establishment is one of the best places in Hanford to eat at. I know most people stop here because it's a convenient spot to eat at while shopping but I would go to this mall solely for the food. I normally get the mixed wrap combo.
