Very special menu or featured menu items.

I ordered the spicy camarón (shrimp) burrito, and let me tell you this thing was definitely super size. When I got home I decided to pull out the scale and see how much this bad boy weighs. It came in at 1 pound 7 ounces which translates to 23 ounces. That is one big burrito. And for you metric people out there that's about 652 grams of burrito heaven. The burrito itself was pretty good. The camarones (shrimp) were cooked nicely, juicy and delicious. The spiciness had a good little kick to it and the mix inside which looked like Spanish rice, cabbage, jalapeño, onion, cilantro, and salsa was beautifully flavored. The only knock I had was it was greasier than I would've liked. Not sure where the grease came from but I did have to use a couple paper towels while eating this bad boy. I also ordered buche tacos and they were pretty darn good except the tortillas seemed a little on the dry side. They were corn tortillas. I ordered inside the restaurant and took my food home. The ladies working there were very friendly, had beautiful smiles, and were happy to help. The restaurant appeared to be clean. I didn't go around checking tables but everything I saw from the waiting area looked clean. The inside is pleasant with nice decorations on the wall. All in all a good experience and one giant burrito that will definitely leave you full.

    3 taco combo

This place is still on point. The service is quick. Even when there is a long line you might wait 2 more minutes. The service from the cashier is amazing. All the ladies are very professional and polite. They know the menu and it's nice to switch it up a few times. I always get the three taco combo. Three taco combo is the best deal. You get full and you get three different flavor choices! I get the carne asada, pollo, and barbacoa. So much flavor. There's a small salsa bar in the dining area with jalapeño, salsas, and lemons. A perfect place to add that zing you might be looking for. Overall, doesn't matter what day you get here, it's on point. I'll continue to come here.

This is the new location which has more menu items. I tried the red chilaquiles which was delicious of a perfect blend of sauce and crispy chips. Rice and beans were flavorful too. I recommend the different water drinks that they offer, really refreshing on a hot valley day.

driving along bush st. towards 41 looking for breakfast and finding tacos los juanes on the corner of d st...newer complex and plenty of parking in the morning...mostly empty on a weekday morning...quite a large space and looks like staff were busy setting up in the kitchen...counter to the left with menu and taking order...first-time visit and taking the item with the restaurant's name, juane's omelet $15.49...taking hash browns and flour tortilla for the choices of sides...noticing a salsa bar with various sauces and all the typical taqueria fixings...getting some green sauce and trying a few bottles of some sauces too...watch out now, some are spicy!...juane's omelet arriving with hot flour tortilla wrapped in foil...making little breakfast burritos and finding pretty decent...omelet was loaded with large cubes of ham, some sliced up sausage and bacon...the only issue was that it was bit salty...

Chilaquiles with over hard eggs and machaca with scrambled eggs, beans and rice
    Marissa T.

Cashier was very nice. What I ordered was not what I got. I asked for red chilaquiles with over medium eggs and topped with machaca. I got cold chilaquiles with severely overcooked eggs, machaca that they added scrambled eggs to, hard rice and some good beans. I ordered over medium eggs because I don't like the texture of scrambled eggs. So, needless to say, all this food and all I ate was the beans. I definitely would not recommend this dish, but I have had other items there that have been good and the staff is always nice and place is clean.

The potatoes were amazing, the biscuits were great, and the gravy was so good! There's a small indoor seating area that feels like a modern diner and they have plenty of tables under the pergola outside, where there's vines, birds, and flowers, which feels very relaxing.

The…read moreplace was about 80% occupied, which says a lot for that time of day, but it still felt chill and relaxed. The interior is modernized (not overdone), clean, and welcoming, with a nice quote on the wall that adds character. I ordered the breakfast burrito ($11). It's simple but very well seasoned (scrambled eggs, potatoes, and cheddar cheese). No meat, which I was craving, but the herbs and spices definitely carry the flavor. Not sure what they use, but it's tasty. Portion-wise, it's a solid medium-to-large burrito and comes split in half, so it could easily be shared. I've seen bigger burritos elsewhere, but this one is filling enough. That said, $11 feels a bit pricey for something so simple. I totally understand inflation, but I think adding a protein option like bacon, ham, or sausage would really elevate it and make the price feel more justified. Service was quick; about five minutes total and the cashier was very friendly. I mentioned it was my first time there and that I'm part of Yelp Elite. I kind of wish there had been a bit more engagement at that point, like suggesting a popular item or checking with the manager about anything for Yelpers. Not a dealbreaker at all, just a missed opportunity to go the extra mile. Overall, good food, chill environment, friendly service, and efficient turnaround.

We visited on a Tuesday around 10:30 a.m., and one of my favorite things about SHU is that they serve both their brunch and lunch menus all day. Being able to order anything at any time is a huge plus. For drinks, I ordered the Sol Rising, which was perfectly balanced--not too sweet and incredibly refreshing. One thing that really stood out was their huge drink menu, unlike anything else I've seen at a brunch spot, with plenty of creative options to choose from. We also shared the Charcuterie Brunch Board, which was a standout. I especially loved the homemade cottage cheese topped with a touch of spicy honey. The berry preserves were a little runny, but the flavor was fantastic and paired beautifully with the pita bread. We also ordered the Sunny Hyde Open Omelette, which was a fun and unique take on a traditional omelette. Also enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Bagel and the Chicken & Waffles. To drink, we also had the Wake Up Call, which was the perfect twist on a cold coffee cocktail without being another espresso martini. Everything we ordered was delicious--even the potatoes, which are often an afterthought at many brunch spots, were flavorful and cooked perfectly. A special shoutout to Liz, who was an amazing server. She was friendly, attentive, and helped make our experience even better. There were several other dishes on the menu that caught my eye, so I'll definitely be back to try more. SHU is a great spot for brunch, lunch, drinks, and gathering with friends.

It was a weekend, so it was a little busy, but nothing too crazy, and we were the only walk-ins. We were seated in the bar area, and our server was very kind and friendly. The only downside was that she only checked on us once during our meal. The best part of brunch was definitely the sangria--it was delicious! Unfortunately, both my mom's food and mine came out extremely cold. The ambiance and decor are really nice, but the food didn't match the atmosphere at all. Overall, the vibes are great, but the service at the front and the quality of the food left a lot to be desired.

I can think of 6 in the past 14 years since I've lived in the area that have come and gone... from classy Italian to authentic Peruvian, a small bar and an evening patio scene to a breakfast only place, the a couple waffle shops, and now... let's talk about Branch. Immediately I noticed how clean the place was. Simple, smelled nice and spotless! Hey this is a huge improvement already. The crowd was thick, we waited 20-30 minutes on a Saturday at 10:00am. That's a good thing. Once we sat down, we were asked what we wanted for drinks. And a minute later another waiter asked us if we would like to order drinks , then a 3rd... seconds before the drinks were brought out. Lol I ordered the breakfast sandwich, served with potatoes or hash browns and asked the waitress what she recommended... my daughter was getting hashbrowns with her meal already and the young lady suggested the potatoes and so I took her suggestion. Let me tell you this, that sandwich which is probably one of the most common things on a breakfast menu anywhere, came out so unique and interesting to me that I must highly recommend it. The toasted bread was like a spicy garlic sourdough that was strong and powerful. The spice was right for me and I even asked for the sriracha sauce on the side. The bacon was thick and plenty, the eggs perfectly scrambled, and the potatoes were delicious and so were my daughter's hashbrowns by the way. I loved my breakfast sandwich and also ate half my Mom's Reuben sandwich which was just loaded with corned beef!! So I asked the waitress who owned the restaurant wanting to know if local, and she smiles and says, "well, I am!" I complimented her and wished her my best and let her know that we would be back. I hope it catches on.

Weekends may be different... 2) LOTS of parking and big spaces, unlike at other breakfast spots. Wide parking... 3) Food comes out HOT! Unlike red apple with their lukewarm potatoes/gravy. 4) Music is low volume background. You CAN actually have a conversation and enjoy folks if eating with others. 5) NO TVS!!! 6) Limited menu help ensures QUALITY and attention to detail. 7) Subtle complexity of flavors that REALLY differentiates from the crowd. 8) NOTHING is over salted. IF you've read my reviews you know that means that I sometimes order TWO entrees and I--ONE PERSON--polish them both off! GB3 AHOY! Ordered: 1) Water, no ice, no straw. 2) Biscuits/gravy ala carte. 3) Beni bowl, extra hollandaise sauce. Detail: 1) Food comes out HOT. With REAL steam coming off! Something overlooked and under appreciated at other restaurants. 2) Textures were intact and varied, even noticed with something like the a humble potato! 3) The beni bowl had both chorizo and bacon in it. The poached eggs were fantastic and... 4) Both the hollandaise sauce and the country gravy had deep complexity and subtle interesting differences. Again, something missing from most breakfast places in Fresno. 5) Today, I ATE the actual biscuits that came with the gravy. Something I don't think I've done for YEARS! They tasted fresh, textured and were NOT SALTY like lessor quality options. 6) Pricing is so reasonable! Honestly, I've had this un-scratched breakfast ITCH for the longest time that never gets scratched. That all changed today! I'm refreshed getting plugged in with a restaurant that gets subtle differences, quality, textures and flavors with staff that IS actually connected to what comes out of a kitchen, what competes and stands out among similar options, how it TASTES! Thank you always Lord for both the resources and the opportunity to enjoy even a lessor meal in Fresno. But man, I appreciated this end of the spectrum. Keep up the good work, Branch! I notice everything! -G
