My oldest and youngest sons were helping me on a job and when we wrapped up we hit the one on Mooney for dinner. Im no Greek food expert. I have had it a few times here in the US and this felt pretty similar to the other spots I have tried... gyros, bowls, the usual stuff. Tasted good, portions were decent and I would go back again without even thinking twice about it. The thing that really stood out for me were the fries. They have a few different versions. Regular fries, then Greek fries with garlic, herbs and feta, and then Nicks fries that are basically loaded Greek fries with gyro meat or falafel and a spicy yogurt sauce on top. Pretty sure I had the garlicky Greek fries and those were bomb... hot, crispy, lots of garlic and little salty bites of feta. I kept picking at them even after I was already full. Service was quick, food came out hot, place looked clean. Nothing fancy, just a solid fast casual Greek spot that does what it is supposed to do. Loved that there are multiple options for gyros. A gyro choice for everyone. Went with the lamb/beef gyro ... omg tasted just like the gyros we had on vacation to Greece. All orders also include a coupon sheet which offers discounts on bowls and wraps. The food takes about 15 minutes to complete and comes out hot and hefty. *Beef Lamb Gyro Pita: tender gyro wrapped in a fluffy pita bread and topped with fries, tomatoes, and onions. The vegetables at Nick The Greek reign supreme and are fresh and juicy. I wished more tzatziki sauce was applied but the overall wrap is tender and cohesive as is. The fries are the most mediocre part, offering little flavor and just starch. *Gyro Bowl: the only reason why this is four stars instead of five. I was disappointed in how light the bowl was compared to the other dishes. The romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were bland and my bowl lacked the red wine vinaigrette and spicy yogurt. The amount of gyro received was also very little compared to the wrap. I got food poisoning soon after this, so I have avoided this entree ever since. *Mediterranean Steak Bowl: my favorite entree here. The steak was incredible tender. The kale was tossed in an acidic vinaigrette. The grape tomatoes were sweet and paired well with the crispy chickpeas. The hummus and garlic toum added some nuttiness and creaminess. The basmati rice was cooked well and it absorbed all of the bright flavors the toppings offered. *Froyo: anyone who loves a good tart yogurt should order this. This dessert is cool, refreshing and tangy. I often add baklava and honey for another dollar for additional sweetness and chewiness. Service isn't great but that's why I always take it to go. I often find myself craving Nick the Greek's steak, tomatoes and froyo. Yes, this isn't the cheapest of meals but it's worth the big flavors Nick the Greek is offering. read more

The young male who answered the phone hung up on me twice without explanation. When I called back immediately, he stated that he had placed me on mute and could not reach his manager. He then instructed me to call back the following morning but refused to provide either his name or the manager's name, claiming it was "against policy". We ordered the beef/lamb gyro bowl and the pork belly gyro plate with a baklava on the side. Personally, I liked the flavor on the pork belly more than the beef/lamb. I feel like the beef/lamb could be better. The fries on the plate were nice and crispy and the sauces were good. The salad that came with the entrees tasted fresh, but the red wine vinaigrette was a bit much for me. The pita was a little too burnt, but the hummus helped. The GM is a really great guy who handles his crew very well and ensures an equally amazing product is leaving the store. Kind of small inside, so will definitely get packed during the lunch rush, Luckily they have mobile order and delivery through DoorDash! Ambiance is peaceful, very beautiful inside. We got a chicken gyro, beef/lamb gyro, greek fries, pita and hummus, Baklava, and some froyo. Everything came out to around $58 dollars with tip. A little expensive for my taste, but.. the taste and flavors Nick The Greek offered, was worth the price and then some! Hands down in my opinion the "Baklava" was the best thing on the menu! Small for 3 bucks but again, somehow the flavor is absolutely worth every penny! Chicken Gyro was Fantastic! The chicken was nice and tender, the fries and added veggies mixed with the sauce inside really complemented the Gyro really well! Add some spicy yogurt to the top and it's absolutely heaven! Beef/Lamb Gyro was "ok". If you're a fan of Lamb, then you're going to love this! In my opinion it was a little "gamy" for me, but I'm not one for anything other than beef and chicken. The spicy yogurt added some extra deliciousness to it, but still couldn't get over the flavor of the lamb. Unfortunately not for me, but hopefully it will be for you! The fries inside the Gyros add an extra flavor and texture element that is very welcoming and surprising! Might steer you away from getting fries on the side, but get some anyway! You can either add them to your Gyro, or enjoy them as a welcoming side. Especially if you get the Greek style! The added Feta elevates the fries to an 11! Pro Tip: ask for extra Feta in EVERYTHING! ESPECIALLY THE GREEK FRIES! Pita and Hummus were a nice side to have also. The pita had a nice texture, soft yet a nice bite, very good flavor, especially when you dip them in the Hummus. Hummus was good, nice bite from the paprika on top, questionable if it's made from scratch or store bought, cause it tastes that good! Now for the best part! The Baklava! Flaky, sweet, crunchy yet soft and delicate. The honey really makes this thing! I've never had a dessert like this before; it's beautiful! Froyo was "ok" but just be prepared for this to not taste like ordinary froyo. Because of the Greek yogurt, it's very tart. But still very good none the less! Pair it with the Baklava and I think you're gonna be in for something very special! Overall when I saw the price, I was hesitant. $58 for a combo with Greek fries, single Gyro, two desserts and a drink on the side, kind of pricey! But when I got the text from my wife to, "Hurry Up! Amazing! Will be back here for sure!" I dropped what I was doing to see if the hype was real. It in fact is! Worth the price and then some! If you're a fan of Greek Food, don't miss this place! If you're a fan of trying something new, don't miss this place! Just do yourselves a favor and come down to Nick The Greek.
