Donkey's Bar & Grill was not bad. We got the boneless wings and traditional wings, steak bites, and Mac & cheese side dish. The wings were good and priced decently with their wing night special, the steak bites were delicious but very pricey for a small amount, and the Mac & cheese came out late and was a little too watery for my taste. There was also a hairball on the floor under our booth which made the experience unpleasant. The plus side, the drinks were delicious and the wait staff were so friendly! If they improved the cleanliness, I would go back for the drinks and food! read more

This was my first time trying this place and I had really high hopes as we don't have many options for restaurants in Crawfordville. I placed a pick up order for just my husband and I, which was one meal and two appetizers that came out to be $60. For $60 I expected phenomenal food. It was everything but that. My order was said to be ready at 6:20. I arrived around 6:15. I didn't leave with my pick up order until 6:50. Several other people came in and picked up multiple orders AFTER me and somehow left BEFORE me. Mind you- I had ONE meal and TWO appetizers. Upon actually eating my food it was extremely mediocre. The pretzel bites were okay, my husband's steak was bland and raw, and his baked potato was not cooked all the way through. And the Mac and cheese was just plain nasty. The fried pickles were soggy and mushy. My word of advice is- if you want mediocre food for five star restaurant prices, this is your place. Also be prepared to wait, and deal with not so great customer service. I was extremely disappointed and will not be back. read more

From the outside, Donkeys gives me the impression that it's a small dingy smoky bar- so it was a really nice surprise when we walked in to find a bright, clean and spacious restaurant. There is a bar as well as a space out back to hang out and play games. (I think I saw a sign that mentioned pool & Cornhole). Been there a few times and I'm not going to rave about the food, but I have no real complaints either. The wings are pretty good. Also, I definitely want to mention that the service is slow as molasses. Staff is friendly, but nobody is ever in much of a hurry. There is plenty of seating so even when the parking lot is overflowing it doesn't seem too crowded. TLDR; Spacious & clean Food = average Service = slow read more

If you're a doordasher don't bother accepting orders from this restaurant unless you have at least 30 minutes to kill. UPDATE: so a few days later, I gave them another chance (like number 100 in my dashing history) and accept the door Dash order. When I get to the restaurant, the OWNER, JON TURNER, asked me if I am the Micah that left this 1 star review and I said yes. He proceeded to tell me that I was disrespectful and rude and that I was shi**** where I ate. He proceeded to tell me that he didn't want me back in his establishment. He would not let me finish one sentence to explain the reason I left the review I did, which was not a one day one time problem but a one year, 100 time problem. Once he interrupted me, and then loudly told me that I work for him..... I politely return the profanity and said f*** you!! I don't work for you, I work for the customers who placed the order and you do too. Don't worry about me ever coming back to this establishment ever, because I will never come back. Apparently the owner, in my opinion, is too childish to deal with a negative review ( in a professional manner) that is stemmed from a real problem that many other people have experienced. He would rather be money hungry ( or just playing stupid ) and lie to people's faces instead of telling the real truth to us doordashers. Is not very hard to say, hey, we are behind, it's going to be 20 or 30 minutes, that way we can unasign, and let the next Dasher get it, and move along with our day. However they have apparently trained to everyone to lie to the doordashers and always tell them it's going to be a couple of minutes which turns into be 20 or 30 or 40 minutes .. or longer. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! There are hundreds of other restaurants that have wait times for orders from 30 minutes to an hour during busy time. None of those other restaurants have the issue this restaurant does. The fact that after multiple times of asking the restaurant staff, as well as doordash to move wait times back so doordashers don't have to stand around for an hour, it always fell on deaf ears, which if your brain has the capability for common sense, then clearly tells me this restaurant does not care in the least bit, about their doordash service and should not offer it to their customers. And a message to you Mr John Turner, you said I s*** where I eat? Well sir, you have been s******* where I eat for a long enough!!!!! Now, because I said something, you want to lash out to me? That's fine, shows your immaturity and lack of business skills. Sounds a lot like the political garbage is going on in our country. Never mind the corruptness.... Lets all blame the hard-working man who called the thief, a thief. When I have to spend 20 or 30 unpaid minutes at your restaurant waiting on an order, you are stealing for me. This was so so bad food. Stopped for lunch on our way to the beach . Was looking for a quick bite and nothing fancy. Food was very average. Had a salad . It was very basic. Husband had wings and it was average. We had a large group . I had to ask 4 times for salad dressing. Finally had to go to the bar to get it. A couple others in our party had to do the same with dressing and mustard. It was very slow service. Which would have been ok if the food was better. Although service was very slow , they were friendly and helpful and we did have a nice time. Probably would not stop there again unless it was for drinks in the evening. read more

First. The AC is awful. But, Everyone was complaining. Bar liquor variety is very limited. Servers work hard and burger was decent.

We came from Tallahassee for bingo and had a blast the announcer was hilarious food was pretty good and it seemed to be a clean place. The only comply we had was with the hostess. Ate an early dinner here 01/15/22. A handful of patrons inside. It took about 35 mins for our order, 6 orders to arrive. I can get a better burger from Hardees. My burger was tepid and over cooked for my liking. The patty looked like a choreboy scrubber. My Dad had ordered the roast beef dip, the meat had a funky metallic look to it -- like the cheaper sliced meat. I tried a bite and the beef had no flavor. The staff was nice and attentive. I don't know if I'll try their new barn location when it opens. I suggest Hobbits for a better burger or French dip. read more

Lunch rush was too much for the restaurant today. Party of over 5 and we waited an hour and half to get our food. We all had to get back to work. Got there at 7pm and not to busy. We had a party of three. Lemonades and 1.5 hours later we had to initiate a server to go and find our food only to be told that they did not have the ticket? We decided it was not worth waiting. They charged us for each drink instead of an apology. 3 larger groups got up and left while we waited. No one seems to have a designated job. Management seemed absent. This is our 5th time here and it has gotten worse each time. Another Wakulla establishment that brags about their poor and slow service, on a sign prominently displayed, and expects customers to just expect it or go somewhere else. And we will and do from now on. Maybe they should make their kitchen larger or find cooks older than 17 yrs old, or even find a "Manager" that knows the food business and customer service and take down the idiotic awful sign!!! This is our last time here and I heard they're building a stand alone by Walmart and they can't handle it now????
