Donnelly's is an amazing local sandwich shop (it is technically called a deli) with some of the best sandwiches I have ever had (and I've had a lot of sandwiches). The bread was a little soft meaning it wasn't freshly pressed that is the only thing that I would change about their sandwiches. I would definitely recommend going here. read more

Please try them before posting a low star review. the subs alone are 5 stars. if you get served by the owner himself, as we did, it's 5 star customer service. now only accepting cash is a down side but literally the rest of the experience outshines it all. Now $7-9 can be pricey for a sub, BUT the tower of smoothly shredded ham can make 2 regular sized foot long subs. We paid for 2 subs, a pickle, chips and three drinks, $26! If you're lucky, you'll be served by Mr. Donnelly himself. Such a friendly guy, and extremely quick service. We ordered two subs and were in and out of the store in less than ten minutes. During the wait you can look around at all the sports memorabilia and pictures, it's the absolute most wholesome collection of trophies, photos, newspaper clippings, etc. Even as a true hardcore Publix Sub fan, I can honestly say Donnellys beats them by a long shot. My husband passes this Mom and Pop's style Deli every day on his way to work. Since he had a rain day today, he took me to buy some take out for the fam. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak, a Ham and 2 Turkey Footlong Hoagies. We were in tastebud heaven!! Not only were the hoagie rolls fresh, they're real sub rolls like you'd expect from NJ or NY, WOWOWOW factor!! They're packed with a meat of your choice and many toppings to choose from including marinated sweet peppers, they even had crushed red peppers which have been hard to find at any sandwich places we've gone to!! Our hoagies were so delicious and made in record time. The owner was so sweet, kind and professional!! We can't wait to order from this establishment again, it will definitely be our go to for hoagies, freshly made salads and deli meats to go or they also deliver!! Be very careful when doing business here!! They do their math by hand instead of using square or a register. That would be fine if they could do basic math. Tried to overcharge us today, then said we could give them a I owe you because we budgeted for the real price and it's a cash only business. The cashier tried to say it was increased menu prices. We asked for a breakdown on our items, and we used an actual calculator and she was still overcharging by $10. She waived us off on the phone when we tried to correct this, making it sound like she was doing us a favor by not saying we owed anything. Had we not followed up, we would owe money from false pricing. We learned a lesson today. Cash only business is short for "we want to pad numbers and steal from people". In the age of square, credit card licensing deals, and everything in between, there's no excuse for not taking card. And there's really no excuse for not using a basic calculator. Cell phones even help you out with this if you can't do basic math. Food was really good but I'm not about giving business to crooks who can't admit they're wrong and correct a situation appropriately. read more

Although it's been years since I've been here, they do serve quality sandwiches. From what I remember it was pretty busy and not much of a area to sit down and eat. Also like 95% of sandwich shops, they use iceberg lettuce shredded which has no health benefits. Personally, I would pay more if it had healthy greens on it. read more

OMG this place is the only place to get a hero! Once again we ordered a 6ft hero, got charged for 6 ft but I swear we got a 9 ft. I went there today and the elderly man at the register was rude and spoke down to us. I've never been there so I didn't know you can't purchase a half of a sub. He talked to us as if we were stupid. I asked to see what the size looked like and he was annoyed. My daughter asked for a different cheese and the kids that worked in the back gave her an attitude. I have never been so uncomfortable, so we walked out. They were not busy so I understand why he was rude and condescending. The owner should view the tapes and see how this man treats his customers.
