We have a living room with large windows facing the city view. We had Don's Drapery install Hunter Douglas Silhouette PowerView shades and absolutely love the new shades! They are beautiful and transform the room to give it an upscale look. The "Internet cloud-enabled" shades automatically raise, lower, and tilt depending on the time of day, so now we can enjoy the view during the day without having to remember to close them at night. The automation flexibility is amazing. I'm setting up the shades so that they will automatically open whenever it starts raining or the Santa Ana winds blow faster than 40mph (because we like to watch interesting weather outside the window). This is easy to do by registering and linking the Hunter Douglas cloud service with the popular IFTTT service. We were able to get the best looking shades because Don's showroom has so many displays and fabric samples to explore. It took about 2 weeks for the shades to arrive from the factory in Denver Colorado. The installers are always very nice and helpful showing how to operate the system. It's backed by a lifetime warranty so that was another important consideration. I'll see if I can figure out how to post a couple photos here.. read more

Don came out to measure for our new sliding glass door for Hunter Douglass Hybrid Shutters in true white. They are made in Salt Lake City and they were installed yesterday by two very skilled installers who showed up on time. They have a great vehicle that had all the tools, supplies and our shutters neatly in the back of the van. They helped us move the furniture and brought in all the shutters which were so well packaged I could not believe it my white shutters looked black because of the foam rubber protecting them. Russ the boss knew exactly what to do and I watched him closely because I was curious. He and Alex worked together and made sure everything was done perfectly, they constantly cleaned up after something was done. Russ used some cool tools and he used a laser level to make sure everything was plum and screwed in place. My wife came down to see the progress and she was so happy. When the shutters were done they cleaned up, put away their tools and helped us move the furniture back in place. I used my credit card for the final payment and we are very happy with this style of shutters which allows us to open the bottom for some light and keep the top closed so we can watch tv. We would highly recommend Don's Drapery Service because of communication, quality of product and installation making the final product look like a model home. read more

It was very easy to walk in and come out with what I wanted. Back in February I needed to get blinds for the whole house and they were patient enough to work within my budget, changing the estimate three times by getting rid of options etc. until it was within my budget. When one of the blinds stopped working, I called them up and they repaired it for me free of charge and quickly. Also the guy who installed it and fixed the blinds is quite hot eye candy. The showroom was very clean and everyone was very friendly and informative. I felt like I understood more about the process that it would take to install new shutters. Mike came out and measured our windows for the shutters. He then prepared a bid for the job to install them. I went with white shutters. He actually spent time to match the shutters color to the paint on our walls. I put in my deposit for the shutters that same day. I was extremely surprised when they came in so quickly! The installers were very nice! They even took their shoes off when they came in the house. They were extremely kind. They were clean, fast, and friendly. Lots of choices of fabrics and styles of blinds. My only complaint would be that I picked and commuted to a fabric and then was told fabric back ordered and would take several months ,I wish I had none that earlier! read more
