We had a leak in our kitchen and so had we decided to redo the kitchen and redesign our living room. Almas came to the house and asked us what exactly what we wanted to do. Honestly, we really didn't know. We had some general ideas but as we've never done a redesign of anything inside the house before we really didn't know. They were very professional and will help you through the entire process from design to completion. Every step of the way was explained thoroughly and professionally. Your search is officially over! After asking all of our neighbors and friends for recommendations for a good general contractor, it seemed like most people did not want to endorse their contractors because they did not either meet their expectations, did not complete on time, or the end result did not look like anything they envisioned. However, one of our friends gave us a glowing recommendation for Makkan Design. We immediately reached out to Makkan Design and scheduled an appointment at our home. When Almas came to our home, she did a very thorough tour of our kitchen space and asked a lot of questions to understand our needs. We still did our due diligence and met with a few more general contractors, but ultimately Almas blew us away. Once the contract was signed, Makkan Design invited us to visit their office to present their design concepts and it was nothing short of spectacular. When starting a remodel we weren't sure if we wanted a designer or not. After Almas came to our house we realized that hiring her would be a good idea. She was the second designer we met with on top of two or three contractors that we didn't like. She came with ideas and presented us with three different layouts before we even hired her. The other designer we looked at that was actually cheaper did not do this. They wanted to get paid before showing us any work or giving us any ideas. That was what sealed it for us. Almas and Makkan came prepared. She hired a great contractor who worked with all of us to make our house a dream house. During construction she was with us all the way. She helped us settle a few minor disputes with the contractor which saved us money and headaches. She made decor decisions for us that we wouldn't have thought of which made our house look better. She answered questions weekends and weeknights via text/email which helped us out a lot. Her fee was well worth it in the end just by the amount of questions and ideas we bounced off her.
