That said, the selection of the latter is a bit small. It's sorta like a convenience store with more food varieties. If you are able to, I would suggest going to global gourmet by Family Dollar past the former big lots if you're looking for specific food needs. It has double the variety tho I will come here again if I am able to.

Also a fascinating selection of international products including breads, preserves, dried pasta, canned vegetables and fish, candies, and interesting refrigerated meats and cheeses. Their packaged foreign snack cakes have led to fun experimenting trying new items. But watch out for the store-packaged Uzbek organic dried apricots. Unlike typical dried apricots, they're much thicker and darker in color and, while very delicious, some have seeds (or portions of pits) that you can't see. Those native to the area from which these come may well know that and know how to eat safely, but to the uninitiated like me a bite into one that chipped a tooth came as a very unpleasant surprise and landed me at the dentist. Sadly, seems the manager failed to accept my attempt at a good-natured suggestion some weeks ago--after a bit of unnecessary wrangling that included being told that apricots don't have pits, that you need to watch what you eat, and that it was my fault (which got me really annoyed and playing the attorney that I am)--to add "caution, contain seeds" to the label.

Fresh fish, fresh smoothies, a full meaty country with all kinds of less common cuts, a variety of fresh sausages and ready to cook things like stuffed peppers and these kabobs. They have a candy shop with all the old, nostalgic faves from your youth as well as snack mix and bulk candy hairier varieties and some fancier chocolates and chocolate covered strawberries and bacon, as well as fudge by the pound. If that's not enough, the freshly candied nuts at the front, the full bakery, aisles of jams and seasonings, honey, cheese, prepared foods (I don't love these but they are very popular) and the donut shop is the best! Things I get regularly: beef bacon and other beef items like petite tender and shaved steak, fresh donuts, and bakery items to give as gifts or bring when I'm going to someone's home. Definitely check it out! Plus, it's in a convenient area of town near all the big stores you might need to go to.

I was eager to peruse to see what tasty treat I could grab. Parking was plentiful, but busy. I suggest you go as early as possible to secure a hassle free experience parking and market wise. Upon entering, the convergence of scents hit at once: desserts, bbq, popcorn. I wasn't mad at all. Our first stop was the bbq kiosk where we purchased a rack of ribs and wings. They have a variety of mini markets and food vendors in the building: bbq, seafood, spices, bakery, pickles items, clothing, furniture, butcher, handmade crafts, fresh made pretzels, etc. They also had an area to sit and enjoy your food purchases. We also picked up a half of a coconut cake, a slice of strawberry cheesecake, some apple butter and blackberry jam, and as we exited we got the glazed almonds and cashews. This place seems big, but it is manageable to walk around and check out all of the vendors. Upon tasting, our ribs were good: perfectly seasoned and fresh; the wings were rotisserie roasted and were good as well; the cake was just ok for us fresh with coconut flakes held on by white buttercream; the strawberry cheesecake was just ok; the glazed nuts were good as well. All in all, a nice market to visit for fresh, homemade food and unique crafts/gifts.
