I saw another review about a minimum purchase on corn being $10 which I thought was nuts, but when I got here, I was told they have a $10 minimum on everything if using a credit card. No miscommunication here. I was able to get green beans, blackberries, peaches, tomatoes, and jalapenos for a reasonable price. All fresh and flavorful. The young man helping me was very professional and kind. Nice service and lots of fresh fruits and vegis to choose from. If you have a question or concern about the weights, just ask them to weigh again. They are willing to do this. read more

I've been coming to the farm stand at Falls and Shawan for decades. This year I noticed that there is rampant overcharging. The first time I was charged $4 for a single tomato which seemed like a lot(they're $4 a pound). I weighed it at home and it was only 1/2 lb. I realized that I had not seen the scale and was charged twice what it should have been. Today I went back, got 1 tomato and was told it was $4. I asked to see the scale which was turned so couldn't see it. I should have been charged $3 for a 3/4 lb tomato. when I pointed this out I was told "WE ROUND UP!!" I WONT BE GOING BACK UPDATE I was able to speak to someone in charge and I believe this won't be happening in the future. I also believe it isn't necessarily happening at other locations. I will continue you go there but I advise you to check the scale when things are weighed just because it makes sense to do that read more

Looks nice as you drive by and as you walk through the products for sale however they are way overpriced. Customer service is not the best almost like they are afraid to interact with people. We've been buying Christmas trees from this farm for a long time at the corner of Shawan and Falls and it will always have a special place in my heart. It's part of family tradition, even though my kids are grown. The people who work there are unfailingly friendly, warm, and helpful, offering a reprieve from the sometimes stressful holiday season, a bright spot at the beginning of the long dark days of winter. So why am I writing a review after all these years? I walked through their Xmas tree lot this year and just didn't find the tree I was looking for on December 11. I was getting ready to leave and suddenly noticed a perfect tree at the front that must have been taken because it had a yellow tag tied to it. The gentleman who worked there said these were likely the last trees of the season till next year and asked if I'd found one. I pointed to the taken tree and said, "Wish that one wasn't claimed!" "It isn't! We just put it out --it's available but probably not for long. It's a nice one." It's seriously the most perfect Christmas tree I've ever had. It's so fragrant I've wondered daily for the last month if they somehow injected it with Frasier pine scent. it's dropped no needles and the branches are still fresh and upright. I do not want to take it down. Today is January 7th. I'll never go anywhere else as long as Misty Valley is still in business. read more

Although the produce is usually great, their ability to weigh and charge correctly needs work. Last weekend we bought two tomatoes at $4/ lb and our total was $12 which should come out to 3lbs total. Put them on the scale at home and had 2.25lbs or $9 worth of tomatoes. Thought it was an honest mistake. Today we stopped in for cucumbers. They were $1.50/lb. I watched the kid weigh them--he tossed them on the scale and grabbed them off before the pointer had stopped and gave us a total of $4. Again weighed them at home for our recipe and we had just under 2 lbs. I know we're only talking a dollar (today), but if they're doing that on a consistent basis, they are stealing a lot of money throughout the day. Their shady math has lost us as customers. read more

Misty Valley Farms - BAD POLICY I have never posted anything negative about any business on social media. Today I was pushed beyond the limit of fairness and good business policy. Today I visited Misty Valley Farms (Falls and Shawan Rds.) as I have for 30 years. I attempted to buy 6 ears of corn. As I reached the cashier, I was informed that the minimum purchase for corn is $10.00. It is bad enough that corn now costs $1.00 per ear - not why I am dismayed. It is the $10.00 minimum for corn. $6.00 - 6 ears, $9.00 - 12 ears, so $10.00 would be 13 ears of corn. I explained to that I live alone, and 13 ears of corn would be a waste of food. They more less said too bad. I may as well be dealing with the government. Imagine walking into a grocery store to purchase a few items, only to have the cashier tell you that you did not purchase enough dollarwise to be a customer... If you like being told what and how much you have to purchase before they are willing sell you food - keep giving them your business. If you want the freedom to buy what you want, do what I am doing for now on. Only deal with businesses that are grateful for your business. read more

Every single time I end up at Misty Valley Farms (or any of their numerous trucks/stands in the area), I feel like I'm stealing from them. The amount of good, local stuff you can get for $8 (an average buy at MVF for our household) is absolutely amazing. I usually get four ears of corn, some large tomatoes and some random veggies (onion or two, pepper or two, some pickles) for $8. The quality is very high in everything I've ever purchased here, and the taste matches the look. You can find their trucks and stands all over Baltimore County. The address listed here is the main stand... But they also have a truck that is consistently parked in front of the Cockeysville library, a small stand on Ruxton Rd near 83, and another one (I can't remember where it is). read more

I picked up 2 Christmas trees today with my fiancé and mother in law, and this place is fantastic. The staff is friendly and so helpful. They helped us find the trees we were looking for, then bailed them and tied them to top of the cars. Will be going back next year! read more

I love Misty Farms and are disappointed they are not across from the Cockeysville Library. Am hoping they are coming back to that area as I am there at least every weekend. The guys who work the truck are so nice and helpful. I always make sure I tip them well! read more

I love the produce, however, I had bad experience with the customer service. The boys that work at truck next to the Cockeysville library are overcharging and lying. If you are giving them two bills, make sure you confirm the amont with them. My bill was $32.50, I gave the boy $40, he gave me back $2.50, and I asked him why, the other boy jumped up and they both started arguing with me, and he said because I gave him $25....I tried to reclaim my money and I could not. read more
