My experience at Millard: I'd like this review to reach the owner or whoever manages employee/customer relations. There were some very kind employees working yesterday who were warm, welcoming, and could even take a joke -- and I appreciated that. Unfortunately, I did not get that same experience from Ashley. From the moment I spoke with her, I felt judged and dismissed. She looked me up and down multiple times, and the interaction made me uncomfortable. I was on vacation and dressed casually and comfortably, but that should not determine how a customer is treated. I brought in a genuine luxury item because I needed funds, and while I understand pawn shops have to verify authenticity, the way I was approached made me feel more like a suspect than a customer. What upset me even more was the way my bag was handled. While checking it, she pulled aggressively at the pockets and ended up creasing the bag instead of handling it gently and professionally. When someone brings in a luxury item, they expect it to be treated with care and respect. Took 2 associates 3x to get her to come out and assist me She was unprofessional talking about the quality of my bag before results came back She tore a tiny piece of paper for my contact info What made this experience more disappointing is that these stores are nostalgic for me. My father worked for Sol's Jewelry and Pawn back in the 2000s, so I've always associated these shops with familiarity and respect. Sadly, after this experience, that feeling is gone. There are other reviews specifically telling people not to bring their bags here, and now I understand why.

She also makes it really really enjoyable and playing the piano has become a big part of my day, to relax and unwind. It has been so wonderful. Julie was my introduction to the world of western music, and the journey with her has been great. We usually work on one or two pieces at a time. She also makes sure I get the basics right and so we practice sight reading and do some basic warmup exercises every class. So far I've tried different genres such as opera, christmas carols and musicals. We have fun-filled parties at Noteworthy music very often and it's always great to catch up with her other piano and voice students. I really look forward to our gatherings. Julie hasn't confined my music education to just classes. Last summer, we watched a number of musicals in community theaters in and around Omaha. The highlight of the year is our Christmas performance. We sang carols at a prominent hospital in the city last year. I really look forward to my musical journey with Julie, and highly recommend Noteworthy Music to anyone looking to take piano and voice lessons.
