I had the glass in 6 windows replaced 10 months ago by Don's mobile glass. It was $2600. This week I noticed a giant moon shaped crack in one of the smaller windows. Don's mobile glass came out to take measurements and quoted me $419. No warranty after only 10 months. When I expressed my outrage, I was sent another quote that was discounted about 10%. What happened? I called Dec. 27 requesting help installing a window on my motor home. I have the new window from Winnebago. Just needs to be screwed in. Leslie said that was a specialized job for which only one person could provide an estimate. She requested pictures and info to forward to the right person, who was out of the office that day, but would be in touch asap. I sent pics and a description of the job right away. Leslie confirmed receipt and said I'd hear back within 3 days. Friday came and went. Holiday weekend. Emailed Leslie Monday. On Tuesday, she replied saying she'd follow up and let me know. Recently had Don's Mobile Glass install glass for a custom shower at our home. Although I am satisfied with the finished product I am extremely disappointed with the process. Due to a recent holiday and family coming from out of town we had a very tight time to complete the work. I got quotes from 3 local custom glass companies and Don's Mobile Glass was double the othe 2 companies for an expedited install but promised that they could do the job within our time frame! The glass when it came out was cut wrong! With only a couple of days before all our family arrived they again promised that they would make the glass company cut another piece and complete the install before we had a full house, they didnt! They showed up a week later the day before all our guests were leaving and with the exception of an apologetic installer we never heard from the management, was offered any compensation or even an explanation of what happened!! We called Dons mobile let them know our RV top right side windshield had popped out while going down the road, asked if they could fix it. (they quoted us $200 more then another place, however they said they could do it the next day, the other place was 3 days later, so as we are traveling we wanted this done as soon as possible we went with Don's Mobile) the next morning nothing, we waited until the afternoon and called they said they were having a problem getting a part and they would keep us informed. Late afternoon nothing, called back and asked for an update was told that they would still show up that day and that they would get an update and call back 5-10 minutes, again they did not call. This morning I called and told them we are not from here and are traveling and need to be updated as to whether or not that they are going to fix our windshield or do we need to find someone else. Was told that she would call me back 10-15 mins, when I said last person said they would call and didn't, she said she would definitely call. It is now almost 4 hours later and again no call. Save yourself the grief and look for someone else that actually follows up with you and lets you know what is going on, not leaving you hanging. read more

Today marks the second and last time I will call DMG. The reason? The first time was a few years ago and against my previous experience of using Safelight for a car windshield, I called DMG. I explained the make and model to the scheduler and hoped for the best. The tech showed up late and didn't have the materials he needed. A whole morning shot for my trouble. The second time was today when I waited in vain for a promised estimator to measure and quote on a shower door. I scheduled this with them almost a week ago but when I called to follow up, there was no record of the appointment (which was made at the suggestion of the tile contractor who cautioned me about the high price it would probably be). Had my windshield replaced today thought everything was good went back out to the car to put the receipt in my glove compartment in my book with all the cars info registration,insurance cards all warranty info. And low a behold it's missing so I called they said the technician said the glove compartment was opened he closed it . Well I unlocked an opened the car for him an opened the doors it was not open so not only are there technicians liars they are thief's as well . The manager came out looked through my car like I'm lying andthat I left my car unlocked but I'm sorry if my car was unlocked my car would have been ransacked . Update: thank you for your replay but Dealer checked the front view camera, no codes as claimed, dealer said maybe the windshield camera cables were disconnected and put pack, the car computer will read a code that will be clears after driving the car for 50-100 miles, this has nothing to do with replacing the windshield,but if bad windshield was ordered that's nothing to do with being able to replace the glass, even if there was a code the calibration team were able to erase it before calibration as they are supposed to be expert in coding and calibration, all what I wanted to know the truth about you ordering the wrong or broken part because when I dropped my car the day before you guys supposed to replace the windshield, I asked the lady to check and see if they have the right part so I do r waste my time and leave my expensive car out at your lot, but you guys decided to tell me about the codes and car need to go to the dealer. Scheduled an appointment on the phone with them and the insurance company on a 3 way phone call last week for an appointment today, they were supposed to be here between 1:00pm and 5:00pm today. Nobody called, nobody showed up. Called and they were less than helpful, there "was no appointment on their system" Response was pretty much "too bad, everyone has gone home for the day" How unprofessional. Update: Got a response from David, the business manager, personally within minutes of posting this review. Spoke with him on the phone for a while, and he already had all the information about the situation and had already identified the source of the error, and he made it right. They bent over backwards to come out and get it fixed right away. Great customer service after the previously mentioned hiccup. Too difficult to work with. Did not want to even schedule an appointment until my claim was done. No one is expecting them to complete the job without an approval from the insurance company, but to refuse scheduling before it is done is laughable. Regardless, once my claim was approved I was told to bring my car in, which I did. After dropping it off and having my wife drive me to work, I get a call 45 minutes later stating that the glass they have is defective and to pick my car up or I can leave it there. They were going to attempt to get another windshield in the following day, but if that was damaged then I would have no choice but to pay $1260 for an oem windshield. I said no thanks and took my business to Low Cost Auto Glass, where I had my wife's windshield on her audi replaced. Cost me $820 and they picked up the oem glass and scheduled me for the next day. In all honesty, I'm glad these people did not do their job and inspect the windsheild before I came in because I would've paid more for an aftermarket glass. The only positive thing I can say is the customer service is decent. read more

I was set to get my windshield replaced and when the technician showed up to do the job he noticed that my truck may have rust in the window frame and if so, I could be looking at a large bill to have it restored before a windshield could be put back in it.
