The nail techs, in Spanish, made a huge deal of it and totally mocked me about it for a half hour. I'm Asian, so they likely thought I didn't understand them, but I did. I sat quietly and informed the owner in a side conversation. She gave me a halfhearted apology and offered nothing else, not even a little discount. I'd seen her offer to totally comp white customers who complained about very minor details and were loud and rude to the staff about it. I still tipped the staff that day, but I never went back. It was the most convenient nail salon for me, but I decided to go to another location after this, and I am much happier there. I'd given such loyalty to Luxury Nails, which was a shame. I was loyal, kept every appointment, and always paid in cash as they insisted (despite having to take the time to drive to a BofA ATM, which you can't find in Northvale). And the loyalty program is a complete joke! After paying over $5,000 to Luxury Nails, all I ever got was $10 off a service ONE TIME.

The salon is clean and has a nice overall atmosphere. It doesn't smell of chemicals as soon as you walk in and is well ventilated. I got a powder gel and Michael did it. He s very nice and takes pride in his work. I would go back. Prices are the standard with most nail salons in the area. I do t think it's over priced like some salons that don't do a great job and have rude people. Getting my nails done is a seldom treat for me and I don't mind paying more as long as the staff is friendly and know what they're doing.
