They're very friendly here and do an amazing job cleaning my nail beds and cuticles. Call to make an appointment (even if it's the same day). I love this place!!! I love getting my nails done and throughout the years, i've been to some pretty awful places... at Star Nails, i always walk in with a smile and leave feeling so fresh, clean and happy! -the way you are supposed to feel when leaving a nail salon! i never had a bad experience here.. they clean their tools thoroughly, they never cut your cuticles so short that you bleed profusely (has happened to me way too many times at other nail salons) and the staff is always so amazing (huge plus for me because i am a huge fan of great service) my nails always look amazing... i get gel manicures and they last forever and when i say forever, i mean that they never chip or peel off. Star Nails is the best nail salon I've been to. Once you get your nails done at Star Nails, you'll always compare everyone else to them, and you'll always be disappointed (the only reason why I even tried other places is because I lived out of state for a while). I like how they always keep their nail polish selection current-- they always have the new and trendy colors that you see in magazines. Another great thing about Star Nails is that it's super clean- so you're able to enjoy your manicure in a cleanly environment. Had some issues with my most recent gel manicure coming off less than 1 week of getting it which is atypical. Came back in to fix the nail that had chipped for free. Later that night my pinky nail gel came off completely out of nowhere. Came in the next day and they redid the manicure completely even better than before. I offered to pay a bit but they refused. Nice to see a business work to make things right and really care about their customer satisfaction. They got a new line of glitter in a bunch of different colors which is really neat too. read more

The BEST nail salon I have found. I work in NYC and live in a different town, I drive past many shops to get here. Shellac French pedicures are my thing. Many places don't even offer them. Star Nails does them fabulously. Have been coming for years now and I have yet to have an issue with any service I have received. Consistently great work. They just get it right. I just moved to Nyack and looking for a new nail salon so I just called to make an appointment just to make sure that this salon does what I need for my nails and instead of her answering my question she kept antagonizing me about what I needed done I never knew to make an appointment I need to be asked on what I need done if I've already explained myself and wanting to know a price list I shall not be going here. So I condemn anyone who goes here and enjoys the experience because I was really caught of guard. Don't even think of going anywhere else!!!!! I have been going to Star Nails for about 3 years now. 1) The treatment and service that you will receive here is top-notch. The employees make me feel comfortable. 2) They are meticulous and do an excellent job every time. I've never been to a salon where even a regular manicure can last over 2 weeks. 3) They have a great selection of nail polish 4) Clean and beautiful store! Love the decor! 5) Waxing: I started getting my eyebrows threaded because I have gotten way too many burns from the hot wax and various salons. So frustrating. However, never had a single problem at this store! I always leave the store feeling overly-satisfied and pleased with the experience! I hope it is the same for you too. read more

I have zero complaints about the mani/pedi I received. It was great... But they didn't honor the check-in offer from yelp, and I'm almost certain they charged me more for my services because I'm a man, which is unacceptable... The girl first said it was $30, but another chimed in and said it was $35, then she said its $25 mon, tue, and Wednesday, and the other said its $30 those days... Not cool. Not sure I'd go back, but will give them credit for giving me a good mani/pedi. read more

They are easily the best salon I've ever set foot in. The space is clean and inviting, the tools are all spotless and sterilized, and the services are fantastic. Getting a pedicure here feels like a relaxing spa day, not a rushed and botched mall job. The employees take their time to make sure you look and feel beautiful-and there's a hot stone massage involved! I started getting tips and gels put on my fingers again recently, and it's never painful, never sloppy, the gel is never lumpy-it's really quality work. None of my polish ever streaks or looks watered down, either. And the mini-massage that comes at the end is awesome, too. They're actually on top of the latest nail trends and have a HUGE polish selection, too. A little pricier than most strip-mall salons, but so worth it. The standard of service that their employees keep to makes the few extra bucks a pleasure to pay. I'll never go anywhere else. read more
