This has been my donut shop of choice for the past 15+ years. I've tried several other donut places and none can stand up to the expectations set by Donut's & Cafe. Their donuts have been consistent and delicious throughout the years and the customer service has always been excellent. Early morning work. First time ever to visit a Doughnut shop in the morning and talk about a first experience let down. We came in and we were rushed and could barely hear the attendant but then found out she was new. Because the old lady there was saying "if I can't hear you while I'm next to you then they can't hear you." Sorry ma'am I heard her. I was just like you, an ear piece in my ear. I took mine out and heard her the 2nd time. My whole first experience went down the drain and I felt sorry for that girl. I'm a trainer myself at my job and I know better not to reprimand my staff in front of customers. read more

Great place to sit down for donuts and kolaches in the morning. Since they are on the corner of this little shopping strip, the seating is very open and comfortable with windows on two sides. There's not much to say except that the staff is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable on everything. read more

Awesome donuts! My son got an extra cake donut so I tried it. I don't know why; I don't even like cake donuts all that much. But wow! I'm gonna have to go back JUST for those! Coffee was good - the owner gave me free coffee, so even better! And the owner and her son were sooo nice! I'll definitely be going back! read more

I waited to give this review three days so I could really reflect on if it was worth doing since it's a small business trying to survive during COVID and I never write reviews. I have decided to write one because it was alarmingly horrible. My family and I decided to stop by around 1030 am on a Saturday for breakfast. The girl taking our order was rude and being really nitpicking about not giving my husband the apple fitter he pointed to, weird but we let it go. When the food came to the table the cook had her finger in my husbands gravy on the plate. My kids food was cold and hard. We left our plates full of food that was clearly old, not properly cooked and we began having serious hygiene concerns. When we finally said something the owner wanted to argue how everything was perfect. We will not be back and I am amazed they are still open with cleaning standards like that including thumbs in our gravy. I can't imagine what happens in the kitchen read more

I've been coming here for about 16 years now and they have always had the same friendly owner. They have a wide variety of donuts, but come early because they do sell out. They have one of the best apple fritters that I have ever had and their kolaches are excellent. This is a great place to come for a quick meal. read more

Overall the service was lacking. No one seemed to know what they had and what they were out of or had discontinued service of. After being charged for a double espresso we were told that they don't have it, even though their menu had 4 different espresso based drinks on it. We were refunded for 1/2 of the double espresso. Our meal was ok, but the meats were obviously microwaved rather than freshly cooked. At nearly the end of our meal, after having to ask where my English muffin was, we were told they don't service them. Yet again, they were on the menu, and I wasn't notified when I ordered that they no longer have them. I substituted it with a biscuit that was also fresh out of the microwave. With so many other choices in the area we won't be returning. read more

This place has the best jelly-filled donut holes! But they don't make many of them, so get there early to snag a few. The owner is a delightful older Korean (I think) lady who will likely remember you if you come in once a month or so. This is a low-key cafe that also serves breakfast. Breakfast takes a little longer to make, but it's worth the wait. I haven't tried the coffee yet, but the donuts are delicious! read more

Very packed for an early Monday morning, the Kolaches were great, as were the glazed donuts and cinnamon rolls.

This is probably my favorite breakfast place. Because if you just want donuts to pick up for the office, or you want to sit down and have a breakfast with a friend or family, it's the perfect place to go. The donuts are made fresh every morning. The owner is the nicest Korean lady you will ever meet. And her staff is kind and courteous and the food comes out hot and fresh and it has plenty of room for a big party if you have one. We decided to give this place a try, and it was disappointing from the moment we opened the door. The cleanliness of the dining area was lackluster. The staff was friendly, but solidly incompetent. While we were ordering, one of the teenage gentlemen behind the counter was glazing some donuts with his bare hands. Then, he brings said donuts to the counter and puts a glove on to package them in front of the waiting customer. During the 40+ minutes it took to get our breakfast, the same guy began eating, drinking, and touching his oily face and hair. He never washed his hands. We hoped the cook exercised better cleanliness and sanitation. Our food arrived, with a majority of what was ordered being completely absent. Given the wait and ineptitude of the staff, we elected to just eat what we were given and leave. The food aspired to meh. It wasn't particularly bad, but not worth the price paid - especially since a good portion of it never made it to the table. We live very close, but we will certainly not be returning. read more

After my doctor's appointment, this was the nearest place to get some breakfast and thought I would give it a try. I was very disappointed from the moment I walked in. Was disappointed in the lack of service from the staff, food was not appealing and did not receive all my order. The half and half I used for my coffee was not at the right temperature cause I had curds in my coffee. Would not recommend this place place to anyone and will not be returning again. read more

Jane is the nicest person I have ever met. There is a day care 2 doors down and people come from all over Dallas to stop in and grab a donut and coffee and a chance of spending just a little more time with their kids before they go to work. Jane takes this in great stride, this is not a "kid friendly" restaurant and there is no kids menu but the warmth and love you receive from a little old lady behind the counter is enough to make me want to bring my whole family in. Her regulars include not just the weery-eyed adults caught in a morning routine, whom she remembers well or at least makes the effort to, but the kids as well have come to know her by her smile and memory (she makes an effort to remember the kids name as well) the place could use a tune up sure, new menu, new decor. This isn't the Lizard Lounge in downtown dallas though, this is a place many families have made a routine that has incredible apple fritters and Kolaches and the best service you could possibly ask for. read more

It breaks my heart to give an independently owned business a bad review but this place is terrible. There we only 5 people in the dining room and it took 23 minutes to get a cold ham and cheese crescent and bag of chips. Inexcusably poor service, there were 5 people "working". While waiting for my food I went to the counter to place a to go order for a tuna melt. A woman (I presume it was the owner or at least manager) was filling a box of donuts right in front of me, never acknowledged me. As she was about to walk away I yelled "HELLO!" back towards the kitchen interrupting their session of employee grab ass which got her attention only to find out they had no tuna. Whatever. I sat and watched my son finish his food while I continued to wait for mine. Again, 5 people in the dining room and 5 people working. It's just poorly run with very little care and effort given. As I walked out I noticed people eating waffles and those looked pretty good but my food was nothing special at all. I won't be returning. I only write this in hopes the owners see it and can take the needed steps to improver their place. I truly want them to succeed, but they will need to do a better job caring for their investment. read more

Went there this past Saturday for breakfast. Ordered and sat down. Five customers that came in after us, got their food and some had eaten and left - we still had not been served our food. I doubt that the cook had even started on our order. Will not go back to this place EVER again. read more
