Do not recommend from a customer service perspective. I have a notable concern that they made my bagel with ingredients I cannot eat (as they made other items on bagel incorrectly) and have tried over 10 times to try to get in touch with someone physically in store to discuss concerns/confirm that the bagel was made free of my ingredient concern. When you call, it goes to virtual customer service (which is crazy for what's supposed to be a local bagel shop) and they just send you to voicemail. Unacceptable customer service. Have since returned at least every other week to this glorious place. They've also since changed their menu a little. My husband and I like to take home fresh bagels and bagel breakfast sandwiches (the Zetzellah on an angry everything is my go-to when I'm ravenous). It's often very busy on the weekends but they typically move very fast. Oh, and there's an app now, to make remote ordering even easier. I truly do love this local joint! I have been wanting to try this Bagel Spot by my job for a while now so I finally did. I got two bagels. Both plain, but one with Honey Walnut Schmear and the other Habanero Schmear. They both tasted scrumptious. The Honey Walnut schmear had actual pieces of walnuts and the Habanero schmear had pieces of the habanero mixed in. If you like sweet the you will love the Honey Walnut Schmear as long as you enjoy walnuts. If you are a spicy lover, then the Habanero Schmear is definitely for you. This bagel spot has a self ordering station so you get to see all the combinations you can put on a bagel. I really enjoyed both. You can get a plain bagel for $2.95 and add a schmear for $1.95. It was a nice bagel shop and everything looked cleaned plus well organized. They offer a variety of other bagels, bagel sandwiches, coffees and beverages. Finally, I was in Carlsbad when inglorious bagels were open so I had to try it. Being lunchtime they were low on the bagel selection, but luckily they still had salt left. I ordered it as an egg and cheese but opted for the chive cream cheese and I added a latke. It was hearty! The cream cheese and the latke went really well together. The bagel was soft and had an easy bite to it as a sandwich. Service was pretty quick and friendly, I'll definitely add this to my go to spots when I'm up north. read more

I heard about this New York-style bagel shop from my Yelp friends and wanted to try it for myself. Coincidently, I also found out through social media about their 4th year anniversary celebration. The stars were definitely aligned for me to go. From the moment I walked in, everything on the breakfast menu sounded sooo good. It was hard to choose, and the person behind the counter was super niiice which made my first time experience even better. I ordered a basic breakfast bagel with egg, sausage and cheese plus tomato and aioli with a hot birthday cake latte. Suprisingly, the service was pretty quick. Both were incredibly delisssh! I can't recall how we stumbled in upon this place, but so glad we did! We stopped in and got a few breakfast bagel sandwiches. My daughter got just a regular, bacon egg and cheese bagel. I think I was enticed when I saw hash browns on a sandwich and stopped reading the description on the Latke Loco where habaneros are in the sauce because holy moly it was super spicy! That's my official warning lol I could only eat half. They put a lot of sauce on the sandwich and even though I didn't finish it in one sitting, it was super tasty and if you can handle heat, it's a must try! I can't handle heat but the flavor was so good, I actually ate the other half later in the day. Super disappointed the last 3 times I've been, my order has been messed up. I pay extra for butter lettuce and tomato and one is missing them, then the other had sausage (or some type of fake meat is what it tasted like. ) added to it instead of bacon. I'm so glad I finally made it to this bagel shop - it was fantastic! I didn't know a lot going in and Nathan was so helpful explaining their different offerings. I wasn't sure what I wanted and he took his time asking me flavor profiles I like etc and honestly I'm so glad because I love what we landed on! Something different I've never tried (Angry Everything bagel - 3/10 spicy level) with chive cream cheese to balance it. It was so delicious!! There were so many options! I went with a cinnamon raisin bagel with honey walnut schmear and it was absolutely delicious. My mouth is watering as I write this review. I also purchased a bag of their day old bagels and a tub of the habanero schmear. The bagels were still great the day later, though I wasn't sure what flavors they were. The habanero schmear was SO spicy, with visible chunks of habanero. I would go back just for that. The folks working were super friendly and quick. I've been here a couple times now and overall here's my take - If you are looking for a super spicy bagel you can't find anywhere else, this is the place for you. Anything else, you can probably go to any bagel shop. The HELLFIRE BAGEL is incredible. the best bagel i have ever had, but not because of the actual bagel lol more the toppings and flavor choice. It has habanero peppers and habanero pepper jack cheese. I opted to add the habanero cream cheese as well - another thing I've never seen before. 100/10, will come again because of that bagel. At the same time, I tried the Angry Everything and was severely disappointed. It had little to no taste, minimal spice if any at all, and was so bland I threw it away. My 5 year old daughter loves the Everything bagels, but the seasoning falls off anywhere she touches so it ends being mostly a plain bagel. Agree with the reviews that they tend to have several burnt batches of bagels, and will serve as is. Parking is easy, staff are friendly and efficient, and the inside is very clean considering how many people are in and out. No bathroom for customers that I could see, but I haven't asked. The plain & everything bagels are big, fluffy and chewy but some of the other bagels lack the same volume and texture. Ordered the oy vey on a plain bagel, basically a lox sandwich with the works and it was quite good! The lox portion was quite generous. The price was a bit expensive around $17 which was the only downside. Overall 8.5/10. Also got the shlub, which is a basic egg sandwich on a bagel. The egg lacked flavor, but the cheddar was good. 6/10 probably would not order again. Additionally, got a cheddar jalapeno bagel with veggie cream cheese. 8/10, the jalapeños were very fresh and veggie cream cheese was better than most. Absolutely delicious. From the moment I walked in, everything on the menu sounded so good it was hard to choose, and the person working was incredibly nice and genuinely generous, which made the experience even better. One thing I loved is that they actually call their cream cheeses schmears--something I've rarely seen in California--and the variety of flavors was amazing. I ordered a breakfast bagel with all the classic breakfast toppings plus their special that includes a hash brown, and I added the roasted garlic schmear. It was incredible. Look we just had bagels the other day and I was like these are super thick and hard. Then we came here and I saw the #30 Lox special and I said this gotta be it. Ordered and left cuz seating outside was all taken. A good 12 min drive later was finally able to bite into it. OMG, I tell you they say you never forget your first and I think this truly was my first NY bagels. It was crisp on the outside but soft and chewy. Everything bagel, salmon, capers, lettuce and their schmear was GLORIOUS! I can't wait to come back again and try the other 50 items on here. It's an extremely big let down when you wait in line for 10 minutes... see the bagels you'd like to get only to be told it's not available even though there's still 4 showing in the baskets. There obviously NEEDS to be a better system in place so that customers DON'T waste their time. I've been to this bagel shop more than once now and it still is one of my favorite bagel spots to go to on my way to San Diego. The line is always massive and usually they sell out of bagels if you go too late, the line wasn't too long today. It was almost out the door and the service was so quick. I placed my order and within 5 to 10 minutes I had gotten my bagel. It was really fast. The bagel I got was the jalapeño cheddar bagel with mustard, cheese, bacon, sausage, and aïoli sauce. I'm pretty sure I got this bagel last time too, and it is still one of my favorites. We literally have a friend from NY who said these are the closest you'll get to a NY style bagel in SD. Parking is super easy because it's in a big plaza next to Vons. We are loyal customers and that's why as my only Mother's Day request I wanted my favorite bagel sandwich. I ordered ahead for 10am pick up, so it would be easy for my husband. He came at 10 and they said they were 15 mins behind, he checked after 15 and the man working there said he could cancel if he didn't want to wait. 15 more minutes and guess what? They had lost our order. They refunded and made it right away, but handed us the wrong bagel. Thankfully my husband checked, but they were out of the correct bagel. I stopped off here to grab a surprise breakfast for my partner who works nearby recently and enjoyed my experience. The bagels are fresh and flaky but soft and chewy on the inside it's lovely. We picked up a breakfast bagel (bacon,egg,cheese) along with a strawberry mango smoothie. The individuals that helped me were kind and patient, they made jokes and laughed with everyone in there and no one was cranky even though it was early.
