Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a dirty Dr. Pepper
    Paulina T.

This place is super cute and has such a chill vibe. As soon as I walked in, I loved the decor and way the place was set up. Loved seeing all the bagels they had displayed as well as other baked goods. I got an Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a dirty Dr. Pepper. My sister also tried the Lavender Marriage latte and all of it was absolutely amazing. This is definitely one of the best bagels I've ever had. Not to mention, the service was super friendly and fast! I'll definitely be coming back very soon!

BLT on the jalapeño cheddar bagel with avocado

If only I lived closer, this place would be my go to bagel spot. To start, the cashier was a gem, very sweet and helpful with recommendations. With his recommendation I decided to give the BLT (added avocado) a try. When I say the bagel was so soft and DELICIOUS, take my word for it. Had me going back bite after bite. The bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes were also very fresh. The shop itself is small and can get packed very easily. When it's busy expect a small wait. Seating inside is very limited, but there's plenty of spots outside. Whenever I'm back in the area I will be paying another visit!

Plenty of seating available, though parking can get a bit tricky on weekends. They also have an additional space behind the main shop, which adds to the seating. It seems to be a very popular bagel spot, even though it's not on the main street and sits off to the side, it still draws a crowd. The number of bagel options was almost overwhelming. I tried the rosemary and the jalapeño cheddar, both were very filling, but a bit underwhelming in flavor for me. The lines were long, and I'm not sure it fully lived up to the wait, though the lack of other bagel spots in town probably explains the crowds. The latte, however, was excellent. I'd consider coming back to try a different bagel.

Suuuuuuuch good breakfast food!! Got this rec from Julie at the brewpub and she did not mess around. The lattes are customizable and the food is so fresh. Highly recommend hitting for breakfast when it opens before the rush then hitting the town!

Bagel creativity here. Delicious flavor combos and fresh ingredients make for a yummy but messy breakfast. Not to mention it was so much food! I probably should have only done half. I got the Cali and my husband got the Lox. The bagel itself is huge and has great chew and crunch. The toppings are not only aesthetic but fresh and flavorful. Beyond the food, the shop is stocked with fun, unique finds--perfect for charcuterie lovers or anyone who enjoys rare and novelty eats. The décor is clean and playful, the staff is friendly, and there's plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your bagel in the sun. Can't wait to come back

Great service, great coffee, lovely merch selection. Nice spot to grab a coffee and site amongst the trees and paint or read in the morning

Really cute place una great location with lots of outdoor seating. Staff here is super friendly too! We ordered the lox on an everything bagel. They give you a pretty good amount of cream cheese and lox which is awesome. The bagels here are quite thick and chewy... not what I'm used to but it was alright. Maybe could be toasted idk. Surprisingly it was bland. I never thought a everything bagel could be as such but it needed salt and pepper. Overall a good bagel but could use an oomph more flavor and texture.

Went for a late breakfast on a sunny Saturday with some friends. Very friendly staff and lovely setting. Plenty of seating outdoors up and down all around their patio. I ordered the Cali bagel - full, on a sesame seed bagel, which was super delicious. So big, I had enough for breakfast the next day!

Absolutely loved this place! The bagels were fresh and delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. There's lots of outdoor seating to enjoy your food, and the inside is adorable. Cozy, clean, and full of charm!

We're so glad we finally discovered this place on our third visit to Idyllwild! The food presentation is both generous and beautifully done. The Lox with rosemary sea salt bagel is incredibly fresh, soft, and flavorful especially when paired with their Nova smoked lox, thinly sliced salmon layered with cream cheese, and topped with fresh red onions, capers, and a hint of rosemary that blend everything together perfectly. We've also made sure to try their Cali sandwich on our second visit--a delicious combination of cheesy bagel, avocado, lemon, and dill, so satisfying and impressively fresh. We also sampled their hot and cold beverages: the latte is exceptionally smooth and well-balanced, while the iced green matcha lemonade is so refreshing. Their professionalism and genuine connection with customers stand out, making it easy to see why this spot draws a loyal crowd (locals or visitors) even with plenty of nearby competition offering similar fare.

Raven Hill is the perfect place to satisfy your craving for tasty homemade bagels! Don't forget to snap a picture because their presentation is beautiful. I got the Cali bagel which didn't feel super heavy like your typical bagel and was super refreshing. Note that their full size orders for the bagels are huge so if you are dining alone I would recommend the half but if you're sharing with someone get the full. My boyfriend got the regular jalapeño and cheese bagel with cream cheese and he said it was one of the best bagels he has had in a while because it's so soft. Not only is it a bagel shop but as they also have a mini market that sells unique food items including their homemade kimchi in a jar. They only allow service animals inside but there is plenty of seating outside for you and your pup! Parking is abundant and the shop itself is super clean (including the bathroom). Overall, a solid spot for breakfast/brunch if looking for a quick meal in Idyllwild.

We got lucky*) Server was amazing Food expediter was super nice Food was delicious Elegant, fine dining experience Music was my mountain playlist (and not too loud) View of mountains for me. View of architecture for my wife. PARKING: Parking can be difficult in the small lot, but there's parking along the street too. INSIDE: It was perfect weather. 68ºF at 6pm after a warm day. They have "indoor/patio" style seating which may be difficult for some to access by multiple steps. We were seated at the top, a table away from the music, along the window side. They have heat lamps - but temps were perfect (lots of people and hot food warmed everyone up). I wanted to walk around the restaurant. The tiered architecture is interesting. FOOD: High End Vegan! Yes - I'm guilty of wanting to give them 5 stars just looking at their vegan menu. (And omnivore selection) Yes - I appreciate the care that it takes to prepare a plate. BUT This food was just delicious by itself. Even in a cardboard box, this food would've been amazing. VEGAN "cheese" appetizer (great for 2-3 people) Nut cheese was warm and tangy. This is NOT just cashews and nooch in a blender. It is spiced with something that brings a little heat. *you will want to lick the bowl. PRO TIP: The welcome bread with ... oh shit.... WELCOME BREAD / Garlic Olive Oil This crusty bread served with microplaned garlic + olive oil is fantastic. Garlic Fiend? You're gonna love this. Not a fan of garlic? What's wrong with you?! I mean... just serve from the oil side. Save some bread for your vegan cheese.... VEGAN CHEESE (cont.) Order the gluten free bread (a little more like Uti's toasted dinner roll) with your vegan cheese app. Omnivores at your table will be surprised how well this vegan cheese and wine pair with each other. TROUT I think my wife got the trout. She loved it. Light and delicate. VEGAN KIMCHI TOFU I've had kimchi. I've had tofu. We all have. This was prepared on a bed of roasty veg that was a great match to the salty kimchi. I don't know if there was a marinade preparation (sesame paste?) with the tofu, or it was made locally, or both, but this firm tofu was excellent. Sweet. Nutty. Salty. Fresh tasting and filling. The vegan menu here isn't just an "alternate version" of an omnivore dish. It is its own thing. DESSERT MISTAKE = not getting it. We thought there would be dessert in town, but we got out late. Town had closed. MUSIC Tonight's music was a pair of musicians playing CS&N, Neil Young, Bob Seger... acoustic session: Guitar, Violin, Mandolin. Quiet & sentimental performance was a perfect accompaniment to a long hike day. THERE ARE 1-STAR REVIEWS of this place. They have their reasons. I've only been here once. But I experienced NONE of the things they've mentioned. Moreover, we experienced even better than what other 5-star reviews suggested. This is an elegant spot, framed by a perfect day in Idyllwild. If I come back to the town, I will want to try other restaurants, but I'll definitely come back here. Not *just* because of their vegan options, but definitely *for* their vegan options.

It's a GOLD mine! The service and friendliness is second to none! Delightful. I was just gonna try a couple of à la carte breakfast items to save money, BUT I was quickly "flipped" to a full meal package (much to my chagrin) and with tax and tip over $21! Well, that's a little pricey for a senior on a budget. I hate to say this, but when I'm traveling on a highway (and there's almost no alternative) Denny's does this right with their "senior menu" offerings at half this price! And that's kind of a grand slam. I make the same mistake frequently and I'm not even a big fan of eggs, but I didn't have much choice other than the veggie burger. I decided on scrambled eggs with hashbrowns and the veggie sausage from MorningStar brand (which origin is rooted in the vegetarian friendly Seventh-day Adventist Church.) My side dish was a generous portion of sliced avocado, nicely plated. To me, this spot was kind of like a "SYSCO" food depot. (If you know what I mean). The standard fair for many cafés. But, the service is very warm, old school charm where everybody chats with you to make sure you're doing OK and comes by and taps your shoulder or gives you a little back rub in passing. Not Harvey Weinstein weird but rather kind, friendly, vibes. I was transported to the set of "Andy of Mayberry" just wondering when Aunt Bea was gonna bring out the apple pie! Next time I'll try a veggie burger because it's a comfortable spot and the people are so damn friendly! Wait a second, is that Floyd the Barber, Goober the Mechanic, Otis on a bender? Oh no, I have to run! I see Barney giving me a ticket! Shazam, Shazam!

We've never been for dinner but I'm sure if lunch is great, it should be as well. Stopped by after a hike for lunch which wasn't that busy as it was Thursday. Majority of the people were dining inside as it was still pretty hot. They were only utilizing the front part of the patio the time we walked in. Service was great with our waitress. Didn't get her name but she was a doll. We both just wanted a sandwich which they do have a very good selection. As alway, pickles and sauerkraut was brought to the table. It's a classic. Sandwiches, we had the pastrami with fries (like chips) which is an addition fee as it tends to come with coleslaw or potatoes salad. And the tuna sandwich with coleslaw. Both are pretty decent in size and stuffed with meat. Pastrami was quite tasty and juicy. Only downfall, it's literally just meat and bread. You add the extras yourself, ie mustard or pickles. The tuna sandwich, with lettuce, tomatoes and red onion was quite tasty as well. The food has always been tasty and great. So being from Los Angeles, where, when I was growing up, we had a fantastic Jewish delis, the idea of hitting up a place that is still around that still sells the food that I knew in love was too attractive to pass up. To say that Sherman's was a disappointment would be a massive understatement. The egg salad and chopped liver sandwich was pretty bad. First there was barely any egg salad on the sandwich at all. And the chopped liver was Bland and had a really bad consistency. You'd be better off ordering Nationwide delivery from Russ and Daughters. The matzoh ball soup with chicken and noodles was equally bland tasteless. Not to mention the fact that the matzo ball was curiously hard for should be velvety soft. The service was fine, getting my orders wrong multiple times. First, they brought me the matzoh ball soup with no noodles. Then they brought me a pastrami sandwich, even though I ordered egg salad and chopped liver. Sherman has the veneer of an old school Jewish deli with without any of the quality food. Whatever nostalgia I might've had was decimated once I started eating.
