Raven's Bagels is my favorite bagel spot in all of Southern California. I honestly haven't had a single thing here that I didn't enjoy. Their open-faced bagels are not only beautifully presented but also thoughtfully crafted with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The combinations are perfectly balanced, and the schmears are absolutely delicious. Every bite feels intentional, and you can tell they put a lot of care into what they serve. One of my favorite things about this spot is its location right next to the charming speakeasy-style bookstore. There's also plenty of outdoor seating, making it the perfect place to enjoy brunch with your pup. If you're anywhere near Idyllwild, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Came up the mountain for a weekend getaway in March and stopped here for breakfast on our way out. It is in a small shopping center, and the parking is a bit chaotic. There is outdoor seating, as the actual place is tiny! But outdoor is why you come to Idyllwild! The outdoor space is dog-friendly, like all of the town, but be warned, your dog may find bagels and other treats on the ground, as mine did, so I spent most of my time keeping her from having her own breakfast. Once you get yourself situated, be prepared for an above excellent bagel sandwich. I have the turkey egg and cheese, and everything was cooked really well, was fresh, and flavorful. I had a basic latte, and it was okay. I was sad they didn't have any biscuits that day, as I really did want to try them. I went with friends, which worked out so someone could stay with the dog while I went in to order- because if I went by myself, I would not have been able to actually go it. Not sure if they have a workaround for this, but it could be helpful to have a sign or something. read more

Love the guys (and gals) that staff this joint. Their "Biscuits" (particularly [most] days when they're Blueberry Biscuits rather than Strawberry [still great] or chocolate chip) are wonderful. My wife says they're the best scones she ever had (in all her years). Their Coffee Drinks are great- just a little pricey, but they do have rent to pay. This place is super cute and has such a chill vibe. As soon as I walked in, I loved the decor and way the place was set up. Loved seeing all the bagels they had displayed as well as other baked goods. I got an Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and a dirty Dr. Pepper. If only I lived closer, this place would be my go to bagel spot. To start, the cashier was a gem, very sweet and helpful with recommendations. With his recommendation I decided to give the BLT (added avocado) a try. When I say the bagel was so soft and DELICIOUS, take my word for it. Had me going back bite after bite. The bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes were also very fresh. The shop itself is small and can get packed very easily. When it's busy expect a small wait. Plenty of seating available, though parking can get a bit tricky on weekends. They also have an additional space behind the main shop, which adds to the seating. It seems to be a very popular bagel spot, even though it's not on the main street and sits off to the side, it still draws a crowd. The number of bagel options was almost overwhelming. I tried the rosemary and the jalapeño cheddar, both were very filling, but a bit underwhelming in flavor for me. The lines were long, and I'm not sure it fully lived up to the wait, though the lack of other bagel spots in town probably explains the crowds. The latte, however, was excellent. Really cute place una great location with lots of outdoor seating. Staff here is super friendly too! We ordered the lox on an everything bagel. They give you a pretty good amount of cream cheese and lox which is awesome. The bagels here are quite thick and chewy... not what I'm used to but it was alright. Maybe could be toasted idk. not to be dramatic but, this place damn near killed me. On 3/8 my sister, mom, & I went on a hike and right after wanted food so we came here for their fire bagels. We got this bagel and let me tell you it was SO good. My mom got the same bagel as well, and we ended up into eating half and taking our other halves home. This is where it goes downhill. We get home and my mom instantly starts to feel sick. She said she felt funny, her stomach hurt, headache, nausea etc. I thought she was being dramatic since hikes tend to wipe her out and she took some ibuprofen, threw up and she was good. It still hadn't crossed our minds that it had anything to even DO with the bagel. I get back from Muay Thai practice that night eat the rest of HER bagel (i bodied mine earlier and it was fine), but tell me why I wake up at 6am with the worst stomach ache i've ever felt. Thankfully, I work from home, but I felt like crap. I threw up 3x, took a poop pill to get it all out, and still, my stomach hurt. Not to mention all the pressure in my head from vomiting, I had the worse headache. I eventually had to end my work day 3 hours in. This lasted from around 6am-6pm, and after force vomiting 3x, 1 set of diabetes pills later, too much damn water, and shaking over a trash bag, I finally felt okay. I honestly did not wanna blame the bagel but I had nothing else that day and neither did my mom. Just super weird my bagel was fine, but not hers (that i stupidly ate and messed up my day) Anyways yeah originally the bagel was super fire, however the poop (literally) after wasn't worth it. read more

Raven Hill is the perfect place to satisfy your craving for tasty homemade bagels! Don't forget to snap a picture because their presentation is beautiful. I got the Cali bagel which didn't feel super heavy like your typical bagel and was super refreshing. Note that their full size orders for the bagels are huge so if you are dining alone I would recommend the half but if you're sharing with someone get the full. My boyfriend got the regular jalapeño and cheese bagel with cream cheese and he said it was one of the best bagels he has had in a while because it's so soft. Not only is it a bagel shop but as they also have a mini market that sells unique food items including their homemade kimchi in a jar. They only allow service animals inside but there is plenty of seating outside for you and your pup! Parking is abundant and the shop itself is super clean (including the bathroom). It was delicious, and quite filling. It was pretty big. It was also... quite messy. That wasn't a problem for us, but just beware; it's not the type of thing you'd want to order on a first date. But I'd definitely order it again; all the ingredients tasted really fresh and good and all the flavors worked together. We were there with our dog and four other friends, so we sat at a beautiful outdoor patio area which was nice because it was shaded but also it very much emanated the Idyllwild vibes. And lastly, they sold day old sleeves of bagels for cheap, and they had a sale going on for fresh made then immediately frozen bagels for just as cheap! Waited in line to find out they sold out of all bagels at 11 am. They are open until 2:30. They only had gluten free bagels and it was $1.00 more. The gluten free bagels were kinda hard. Flavors of the sandwiches were good but way over priced. Got a bag of artisanal chips. Bag said $8 but they charged $9. It's not a huge amount of money, it's more the principal and do you make the customer feel. wow! this place is amazing. i heard so many good things about raven hill that i knew i had to stop in while visiting idyllwild. it was truly even better than i thought it would be. my kids and i got the lox on everything and my partner had the sausage, egg, and cheese. the flavors of the lox were outstanding - and that burst of acidity from the lemon they added truly gave so much flavor. i wouldn't have added or taken anything way. the bagel was crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. i tried my partners bagel as well and it was so delicious. the cheese was melted perfectly, the egg was soft but well cooked, and the sausage was juicy and full of flavor. i'm looking for any reason to visit idyllwild again so i can come back and try the rosemary bagel! everyone was incredibly friendly as well and the shop itself is so cute and lovely to visit. read more

Me and boyfriend stopped by here one morning and had to go back the next morning to get it again and buy some extras to bring home. Very friendly perky lady at the front, the whole kitchen staff seems to be close and in a good mood which is always good to see especially since it was pretty fast paced and busy in there both times we went.
