    Boston Cream Bismark

My coworkers and I love this spot for locally made donuts! The donuts are always so fresh, light and fluffy!!! They have a great selection to choose from and all are reasonably priced. My favorite is the Boston Cream. You can order ahead of time which is nice, especially if you're wanting to pick up a great selection the next morning for a larger group. They serve Tapestry Coffee which pairs perfectly with a delicious donut! The staff always greet you with a smile. The decor inside is so fun. There is a small indoor seating area and a few tables out front. Inside they also have a seating area with toys and stuff to keep kiddos occupied. There is limited parking out front but there is a larger lot out back. They are open 6am-12pm daily, or until sold out, so get there early! Definitely worth the stop for a tasty morning treat if you're in the area.

Needed a sugar jolt for family gatherings stopped by and got an assorted box of excellent donuts. Fluffy light texture and excellent cruelers at the perfect size. The staff was very helpful on recommending different options. Love the location of the shop and options for coffee and donuts right there.

Perfect Donuts! Friendliest service. Fun and cute place to hang out. It didn't look so promising from the outside, but I loved the interior atmosphere. My new fav donut place!

This place never disappoints! And I'm always pleasantly surprised about the prices! Flavors can sell out but there are plenty to choose from.

Don't Star was the perfect start to a Saturday morning! Here is what we ordered: Vanilla Cold Brew (this was SO GOOD!!!) Hot drip coffee roasted by Tapestry Coffee Vanilla almond buttercream donut Peach rhubarb jam donut Chocolate Boston cream donut The service was friendly and efficient! Parking was easy in and out even despite it being a weekend morning. And the colorful graphics and art were a fun touch! This will definitely be a frequent spot we visit this summer :)

First time trying and hearing about Donut Star (thanks to a friend thinking of me and getting me a donut.). I enjoyed a chocolate cake donut. It was fresh and delicious (I believe made the morning of 10/11/24). Donut was perfectly flavorful. I loved the sprinkles on the donuts and perfect amount of glaze. Unfortunately, I'm unable to comment on the service as I didn't go into the bakery myself, but I'll have to check it out when I'm in the area sometime. I do have to say the box the donuts came in was adorable- love the touch of the state of mn.

My favorite of the mixture of donuts we tried were the donut holes. I typically order an old fashioned type of donut, but the donut holes seemed to hit best for me. Reasonable prices too.

First time here. I saw on Facebook that they have the We Support Burnsville Police and firefighters signs. This was on a Sunday and other businesses that have the signs are closed. I called and 2 were saved for me. So of course, I needed to return the favor and buy something. Donuts are $2, but there is a special to get 6 things for $5.50. I got 2 hot fudge sundae donuts with a real cherry on top, 2 apple fritters and 2 cookies. All are really good. I normally don't frequent donut shops, but was in the area to get the signs.

Friendly, bright donut shop with a good selection of delicious donuts! When we walked in, they gave our 2-year old a donut ball - made his morning! We got a half dozen donuts to share ($9) and although they were all good, the chocolate old fashioned and strawberry glazed were our favorites! On the way out we noticed they have a coloring area for kids. We will be back soon!

Just popping in to update my previous review - after living here a few more years and having several chances to visit Donut Star this place deserves the five stars! The employees are always great, the donuts are always good (especially if you can get there early enough to try some of everything), and the interior seems to have gotten a face lift and the vibe from that is so fun! I love this place and look forward to many more years of frequenting here!!

This place is awesome! Newly remodeled and maybe new owners. SOOO much better than what it used to be. The donuts are delicious and they have many options! I loved the berry filled bear claw. Donut Star is close to home for us which makes it even better.

A sampling of what we got!

Very good gourmet donuts. The coffee was the best I had while I was up there working.

Way overpriced. I like the old recipe for donuts, the donuts taste different since Mark died and the new owners took over.

Everything looks so good it's hard not to over order. They have a really great mix of sweet and savory options. Pastries, donuts, cakes, sandwiches, and more. The quiche is one of my go-to items and the breakfast pastries are always so good. They also have homemade granola that is to die for. Coffee and matcha are consistently great also. I love their seasonal fresh orange juice but it is a little pricey. The space itself is super cute and nicely decorated with plenty of seating, so it's a great place to sit and actually enjoy your food. I also love that they're open in the evening for wine and small plates. Makes it such a fun and unique spot for the area. Such a great local spot that does it all really well. Definitely recommend.

The doughnuts were pretty good but Soga in St Paul has better. The service was lacking and the place felt cold and dark. Longer version: This is located in a strip mall. Walking in there is very little decoration, a few games and just a dark/cold vibe. There are so many doughnut shops that create fun/colorful/beautiful vibe! This is not that place. The staff here were quiet and barely said a word. Quite frankly, I would have rather order off a screen like other places. The doughnuts were good but not great. While I was there, they were putting out more doughnuts, so may be mine were just older and not as fresh. The Cheetos mozzarella and potato half/half were good! I did enjoy those! Overall, I will not be returning. There are just too many other spots in the TC that are fresh and fun!

On my last grocery run, I was lucky enough to find gluten-free vanilla extract for some sweet baked goods, a great selection of Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc wines, and several varieties of dilled crudités (in jars in kosher/ condiment aisles) to lay out with cheeses for a small soirée I threw together. All I needed to add was the Gavin DeGraw music and the palettes were contented that afternoon :) Cheers to Byerly's!
