What a fun lobby; the fabulous neon star and pink space themed mural on the wall compelled a selfie outta me, lol. While this place is relatively small (as one would expect a hole-in-the-wall donut shop to be), they've made impressive use of the space, as there's plenty of tables and chairs to sit at (even a couple on the outside of the establishment, for warmer temperature seasons than presently, aha). It was clean and modern. The employee working behind the counter was friendly and matched my enthusiastic energy, which was appreciated. There didn't seem to be a huge selection of donut varieties available (though I was also there after 11am, which might have something to do with that... this place is open until noon or until they run out of product, whichever comes first), but plenty enough to give me difficulty choosing which to get! All the donuts/baked goods seemed to be priced at $2.50 each. Not an outrageous sum, though more than I'd like... I fear the days of the $1 donut are nothing but a distant memory nowadays. Anyway, I grabbed two donuts and went on my merry way home. The employee put them in a nice wax paper coated baggie. The flavor of the donuts was good. Not addictively incredible, but yummy. There's a decent chance I'll be stopping by in the future simply because this place is along a route I typically take for running errands, and my sweet tooth may compel me to "reward" myself for running said errands, hehe! read more

My coworkers and I love this spot for locally made donuts! The donuts are always so fresh, light and fluffy!!! They have a great selection to choose from and all are reasonably priced. My favorite is the Boston Cream. You can order ahead of time which is nice, especially if you're wanting to pick up a great selection the next morning for a larger group. They serve Tapestry Coffee which pairs perfectly with a delicious donut! The staff always greet you with a smile. The decor inside is so fun. There is a small indoor seating area and a few tables out front. Inside they also have a seating area with toys and stuff to keep kiddos occupied. There is limited parking out front but there is a larger lot out back. They are open 6am-12pm daily, or until sold out, so get there early! It was fresh and delicious (I believe made the morning of 10/11/24). Donut was perfectly flavorful. I loved the sprinkles on the donuts and perfect amount of glaze. First time here. I saw on Facebook that they have the We Support Burnsville Police and firefighters signs. This was on a Sunday and other businesses that have the signs are closed. I think they got new ownership, not too long ago because there is new life in this bakery that I've grown up going to. And in my opinion, the donuts are even better than I remember them being. The mural on the wall is so cute and they've just updated the space as a whole. I bring donuts in for work a good amount and they used to have limited hours so I would have to try a different donut shops in the never compared. Looks like they're open seven days a week now which means I don't have to go to a random place (that usually disappoints in comparison) anymore. I've got enough that I'm able to recognize some of their alternating favorites. The chai twists are so delicious if they have any form of a blueberry old-fashioned run to get it. Run to this donut shop! You won't regret it. As soon as you enter ( well, even before that ) you can smell the scent of freshly baked donuts right outside the door. They have a neon pink Star sign hung up as well as murals for decor. I love the clear glass showcase of all the donut options as well. You can't go wrong with any flavor of donut here. Finally made it to the revamped Donut Star! We bought a dozen donuts and though I'm just one in, I'm sold! As the name implies, these are some of the best donuts in the area and the pricetag makes it easy to snag up all sorts of delicious, ever-changing menu items (my wife and I tried the bear claw, ginger lemon berry fritter, and a vanilla almond buttercream bar) and the coffee's pretty good also! I went here during the COVID-19 pandemic for three reasons: 1) I read glowing reviews on Nextdoor, Yelp and Google. 2) I wanted to support a local business. 3) Because donuts are never a bad idea.
