Quirky! HERE IS HOW TO GET HERE: the intersection of Hamline and Selby has this little service road that loops to the South of the intersection and under that overpass. The easiest approach is if you're heading East on Selby, turn right just before that intersection. This is a neighborhood donut stand with cold brew drinks and ice cream. Tasty donuts! Lots of icing which I love. When I went on a Sunday afternoon, almost everything was sold out, including all drinks. The hours are kind of limited, and actually I'm seeing conflicting information about what their hours are. And when I arrived, they had a "back in 5 minutes" sign and it turns out that was because the employee was in the garden, enthusiastic about some red peppers. They've got cute little side quests is all I'm saying! They have been selling their donuts in vending machines for a while now, but I think this walk-up window place is still very new in the summer of 2025. I want to come back and try their coffee and ice cream, but I hope they will be open and available when I return.

I'm so happy to see that Donut Trap now has a storefront and it's such a cute space! It operates as a walk-up window for ordering so they don't have a space for you to sit inside but they have plenty of picnic tables outside. I placed an order through "Too Good To Go" and got six vegan donuts for seven dollars. This was my first time trying the vegan donuts and they were delicious. They lean more on the thick, cake-like side rather than fluffy donut but they're still delicious, I 100% recommend! Parking can be a little tricky since it's in a residential area with limited street space, but it wasn't too busy when I stopped by, so I was able to snag a spot quickly.

Stopped by today because I had bought one of the too good to go packages of vegan donuts. I was not expecting many in the bag since the price is only $6, but there were 6 in the bag! I had one with vanilla icing and sprinkles and it tasted amazing, they still tasted so fresh. I'm excited to try the rest of the flavors in the bag and share with my family! I loved how it was tucked away and quieter, the patio also looked so nice. There is free street parking on the road the shop is on as well. The worker who helped me was also very nice and got my bag for me quickly. I'll definitely be back!

The Donut Trap just recently opened their doors and it is amazing! The owner Bradley is easily one of the most passionate, charismatic and funniest person you'll meet. I could talk to him and his team forever and that's just part of what makes this spot so fun! The donuts are delicious, they are kind of like a coffee cake base that is super tasty and compliment the toppings nicely and they have some hilarious names and themes. We had the thic judge Judy which has some cookies and cream toppings and the s'mores and crushed them both they were so good. The patio is great and the mural on their wall is beautiful. The biggest surprise for me was the cold brew, never thought I would mix coke and coffee but it gives it a refreshing sweetness that is really nice.

Great vegan donut options at a bright, welcoming spot in St Paul. The donuts are moist and flavorful, and service is very friendly. The patio is artistic and welcoming with colorful murals and a nearby community garden. The owner has an awesome mission and has plans for many future community events at the shop.

The young man at the counter offered me an extensive menu of regular coffees, espresso drinks and specialty drinks, all of which could be made hot or cold. They also have a variety of milk selections. Unfortunately, they were out of skim milk today, but he offered to tweak the amount when I told him that the main reason I usually had skim milk was to enhance the coffee flavor(and their coffee really tasted good). Additionally, he offered to make my drink in my personal cup which was great since I hate to use plastic whenever I can. This location is only a half block from United Hospital and all its various buildings and there is no good coffee within that entire complex. It's definitely worth getting a breath of fresh air and taking a block and a half stroll to have a great cup of Joe! By the way, although I tried hard not to look, their pastry case looked scrumptious, filled with homemade pies by the slice and other goodies. Since they are so close to the hospital it's really nice that they also have a lovely display of fresh cut flowers. Next time I'm down here I'm going to stop in for a meal. If the food is as good as the coffee I think I'll become a regular.

This is a small coffee shop almost to the downtown area. There is neighborhood parking all around(free) just make sure you are reading the signs correctly. As I walked in, it had such a cozy and welcoming feeling. The brick, smell of coffee and people chatting really gave this a classic coffee shop vibe! Almost like being in a book! The service... i asked for my coffee iced and to have oat milk. Neither of those requests were fulfilled. Now, I do like hot coffee, so I didn't complain and I will say the coffee was delicious. The temp was perfect for drinking right away. I am lactose intolerant, so I didn't realize I didn't get my oat milk until after I left if you catch my drift haha. The person taking my order seemed frazzled and wasn't very friendly. I had also ordered another baked goods but I guess she didn't hear because upon checking my receipt, it wasn't listed. It wasn't overly busy, but may be she was new? Not sure, but it did leave a bit of a bad taste for this place. The scone was very tasty and I would recommend getting it warmed up. I would give this place a try again, but it's not a place I plan to visit again soon.
