Banana Fritter
Vince H.

A delicious take on the apple fritter the banana fritter is moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Open 24/7 this shop is a great place to get your donuts and munchies. Highly recommend getting this with some cold milk to wash it down. Also recommend getting a glazed cruller here. It's my favorite donut and the owner makes it to perfection.

I had to work Saturday, my second Saturday in a row, and at the end of the day I needed donuts. It was a donut emergency. I entered donuts/open now in Yelp and this little treasure popped up. Open 24 hours and this close to my house? Imagine my luck! I got all our favorites - my husband's buttermilk bars and my "everything with a filling". Rasberry filled - check, Boston creme - check. I also tried a strawberry creme turnover that was quite good. They had so many fresh donuts for it being 5pm on a Saturday. Delightful staff as well. This is a little too conveniently located that I have a feeling I'll be doing some serious damage here on a regular basis.

Donut Storr... THE best!

My family and I have been buying our donuts from the Donut Storr for years! If you follow my reviews you know we love our sweets! The Donut Storr is located in a small shopping center on the south/west corner of Springdale and Westminster. Don't be put off by the size of the shop... step in and order a lemon-filled powder sugar and I guarantee you'll be sold!

RUDE lady!!! OMG...
Julie N.

Wait. Did this place change hands? There used to be the sweetest lady who worked here, but today, THE RUDEST!!! See picture. She mumbles under her breath and says rude comments to customers. The quality of the donuts has also gone WAY down! ...and price increased substantially too!! Disappointed

Pastries are better than Westminster Donuts, but still over priced. Better to go to Krispy Kreme (in orange) or Seaside Donuts (in Newport)

I have been here a few times and I have never questioned the price until today. The donuts were overpriced and I was short changed. I didn't complain, but this will be the last time I ever buy donuts at this location. The lady knew exactly what she was doing as when she handed me back the incorrect change I looked at her showed her the $5 bill she handed me and she looked at me and then walked away. She short changed me by $5. That $5 cost you a customer. Sometimes it's better to walk away and not argue over starting this early 5:30 am morning off upset. If you really need that $5, keep it. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Good apple fritter. Have them heat it up for you. Good option if you are in the area, nothing more.

I wish I had this near me :,) but then again, it might be serious trouble for me if I did lol…read more I've felt disappointed by a vast majority of donuts in recent years. Too greasy, weird aftertastes, terrible terrible heartburn and upset stomach after... And with these, I didn't experience any of that(a little burpy after, but I mean, it's donuts... LOL) We only tried 3 different donuts, but they were all so bomb. The churro donut was my favorite. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just like a real churro, but didn't get soggy. The Nutella Malasada was full of Nutella and it was actually my first time trying a malasada... bomb! The cookies and creme mochi was a nice surprise too. The cream was actually very flavorful and not just like a plain creme with Oreos thrown in like I've often seen. I'm sure all of the donuts would be really good here. I will definitely make a trek here again one of these days.

They had hundreds of donuts sitting out, no labels, we had to ask what everything was. Ended up buying four for $13, not bad. Came home and took a bite of each one. None of the donuts tasted fresh, I am sure they were made hours before we bought them. Churro was super hard and stale, salted caramel literally tasted like nothing, blueberry tasted like sweet artificial fruit, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting was the best one. If I lived nearby, I might get that one again, but this is not a place to go out of the way and try.

When I came in the place was busy, lots of people were ordering and the lady at the front still managed to say hello to everyone who walked in. The donut case was stacked with all the favorites. I asked if she could add a little ice to my hot coffee because my hands were not clean. She pointed to the ice and told me to get it myself. When I explained that my hands were dirty, she started making faces and rudely said, "GET IT." After that, I wanted to order a donut but was deciding between a chocolate bar and a maple bar. She impatiently asked, "What do you want now?" in a raised voice. I ended up saying, "Just give me anything." She then threw the donut onto the counter. I told her that this was not a good way to treat customers, and she replied, "I DON'T CARE." When I said I would not be coming back because of the way she treated me, she responded, "I don't care. I don't want your business," and walked away to continue cleaning. Unfortunately, this is not the first time she has treated me this way. After reading the reviews for this donut shop, I noticed many other customers have had similar experiences and left reviews describing the same rude behavior. Customer service matters, and no customer should be treated with this level of disrespect.

Props for having the tiny cubed ice, but the coffee did not taste good. I liked all the options for breakfast and the juice bar! I think next time I will just change my order slightly, skip the coffee, and get a donut.

The staff was nice and chill and let us just vibe. I got the corn einspanner **** be sure to sip and not mix with a straw** again as a PSA please sip with lid for optimal corn cream maximisation. The corn cream was perfect in the optimization of corn flavor(need to steal the recipe). The little corn is a white chocolate that was drowning by the time I took the picutre hehe oops. Their coffee has a little bit of an acidity to it, but once mixed the coffee will overpower the corn a bit. I also tried the jasmine yuzu which had a light yuzu kick to the tea. They were out of original plain salt bread by the afternoon, but did do a light restock of flavored ones. The good thing is, they don't fill the inside of the bread with stuff so its the same thing with a touch of topping. We got the bacon scallion salt bread. If you have seen salt bread recipe videos, it is exactly like that. Not light like other bakerys, it has a oily thick crust on the bottom that lowkey (highkey) would make a great pairing with melted cheese and like.. as a pizza yum.. or like a grilled corn cheese.. or sweet corn.... i just like corn. The salt bread was buttery, with nice crust, rather oily fyi for your fingers, and good flavor. The topping was medium cream (mayo) and slightly sweet like asian hot dog bun. Overall, i think compared to prices of other cafes these days in OC this place was actually really reasonable. For the vibes, versatility of study vs chatting, interior aesthetic, quality of flavors, and bakery options it was a hit for me. Only thing is seating might be hard to get on busy days! Also it's in that nice big plaza so good parking.
