    The cinnamon roll was bomb!

Been going here for almost 4 years now and Donut Time still brings the heat when it comes to breakfast treats. My recent visit had me sampling their savory breakfast sandwiches. They offer both a biscuit and a croissant styled sandwiches. I got the croissant with bacon breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! The croissant was soft and flaky and loaded with bacon, cheese and a fried eggs. My arteries might be might be screaming in pain, but my tummy is applauding with delight. Don't sleep on their breakfast sandos, which also come with sausage!

I have been on a donut binge lately with plans to try out different donut shops whenever I'm in the area. I love Donut Time in Mount Juliet. I talked to the owner briefly and the store had been open around a decade or more. By the time I got there at 1030, there were no glazed donuts left. I picked out a few donuts and sat down to eat one. The twist was really good. It was very traditional, moist, and moderately sweet. The dough was soft and fluffy with a mild hint of vanilla that seeped through. I ate these wonderful donuts throughout the day and strawberry cake was amazing! That night I dreamt of strawberry cake donuts dancing around my head with their bursts of candied strawberry fruit flavor offerings. I tasted love in these donuts and my heart was so happy to experience this.

Ordered an apple fritter. It was pretty sweet and not enough apple. There was trash on another table left from a previous order. No issue with the service.

Love their donuts. They are always fresh. They run out of donuts very quickly. There is only one thing I HATE about the place. They are just 4 miles from my house. Way too close for the waistline.

Still the BEST donuts around! Hubs went in early on a Saturday morning to get 3 dozen donuts (1 dzn glazed, 1 dzn chocolate glazed, 6 strawberry and 6 blueberry) for our son and DIL's baby shower brunch. There wasn't a donut left and people were asking for more!

What a great way to celebrate Easter and the end of the Lenten fast. They were fast and friendly. Doughnuts are AMAZING!!

    Good taste, not enough apple

Good stop for an in and out sweet (really sweet) morning treat. The customer service was welcoming and friendly. Made a fresh pot of coffee for me. Ordered an apple fritter. Great taste, just not enough apple in it. Definitely a stop again place.

Bavarian creme-filled maple bar from Donut Time

My first visit to Donut Time was to their shop in Lebanon (check out my review), which was very enjoyable. I really enjoyed meeting the owner, Randy, at their new location in Mt. Juliet and learning more about their business. I arrived late, so their trademark apple fritter was sold out, but I was still able to get their iconic Pinecone glazed donut, bavarian cream-filled maple bar, and chocolate iced old fashioned. These are good traditional donuts and fill an important gap in the greater Nashville and surrounding areas donut market. Recommend visiting either the Mt. Juliet or Lebanon locations and letting them know that Lonny with @donutexplorers sent you! Happy (donut) eating!

I think a perfect egg is like the star of any breakfast and is definitely the headliner/closer of any perfect entree. But I also think good hash browns are the foundation any breakfast is built on. If the potatoes are off--too crunchy, sliced or shredded too big, bad seasoning, &c--the eggs often can't save it. That's why any dish built on the premise of potatoes on the bottom and eggs on top is the ideal dish for me. Paper Mill has a good skillet plate. The potatoes are chunky but not overly so. The sausage and ham are plentiful--definitely no skimping here. The veggies lend a good flavor but don't overstay their welcome. That sauce complements everything well. And my eggs were great. Once mixed it was perfect. I think the only complaint I have of the service was the coffee refills were a bit slow. I'm used to servers coming by and asking for a refill. This time we noticed I was a perfect four for four with having to ask for a refill. Combine that with their policy of not providing coffee to go and it was kind of disappointing. The coffee on the ride back to the hotel is a time-honored vacation tradition. The ambience was good. It was very welcoming. Even if we were sat at a high table, which is normally a deal breaker, this time wasn't so bad. I like the dim lighting. That's normally something you don't see in a breakfast/brunch food joint. I'd welcome more places to eat in the morning that aren't try to flood the space with natural lighting. All in all, this was a great place to get your first meal of the day. Just know you have to by hyper-vigilant of asking for coffee refills if you're an addict like me and you'll be fine.

I work in restaurants and this makes it high risk for mistakes. When "our" order was ready, she made direct eye contact with us beckoned us over to pay. It wasn't until after we made it out and home we realized it was the wrong order. There is certainly a gap in training because another individual was taking and calling out names for orders. What I received was somewhat similar to my order but extremely plain and lacking. (No offense to the person who originally made this order.) We also believed it would come out in order so we were called forward shortly after the people who were in front of us checked out. The ambiance is decent, the restaurant is cluttered and the ordering system is poor. The outside of the restaurant has two different signs and entrances/exits. I heard multiple people in line confused about this choice as well. My suggestion to ownership would be to make one entrance an exit only to avoid new customer confusion and streamline the ordering process. The bagel I received was tasty, but fell extremely flat because it was plain on the inside. Again, I received the wrong order so it wasn't at all what I was expecting. I would like to give this place another try and hopefully I receive someone else to take our order.

Wings were very good, best ive had in Mount Juliet so far, burnt ends were good, we asked for no jalapeños but still got them anyways, had to pick them off since we arent fans of anything spicy. Drinks were really good! My boyfriend got the old fashioned and i had wine then a cocktail. Service was subpar, waitress didn't give refills on water and very passive instead of proactive. My order was wrong, but the Spring salad was similar enough to the Our Signature salad that it didn't really matter. One guest had to remind the waitstaff about his meal, but after that, it was brought out momentarily. French Onion soup (cup) - the smallest cup of soup I have ever seen, but my daughter found it lacked the deep, rich, meaty flavor synonymous with French Onion soup and left half of it. Fish tacos - fish to tortilla ratio was on point. The fish tacos were well dressed and the cabbage add a nice crunch. This entree was 10x better than those starters. Bam Bam shrimp - had some crispy texture even though covered in the sauce. It was a solid dish and everyone finished it off. Sides- onion rings and fries. These were standard fare. Shrimp scampi flatbread - did not come out hot and quite flabby. We decided the kitchen was having a bad night. The cocktails were fine, so the bartender was having a better night. The service was quite slow but it was a busy night, so understandable as my daughter and I both worked as servers while in college. There is many parking opportunities here as this restaurant is surrounded by other retail stores and restaurants. I included the receipt in my pictures because I want you to know about the "hospitality fee". I find this disturbing practice is increasing. In my opinion, this practice is deceptive. It makes me believe the owners or corporate office is not paying their employees what they are worth. As a former waitress during my younger years, this will only make patrons reduce the waitresses tip if they are not bold enough to have it removed. I did not see this at the time we were finishing up as we were talking and just trying to get out of the restaurant. I did not see it listed on the menu either, although most restaurants that partake in this deception has it listed in very small print somewhere on the menu. I just avoid these restaurants in Vegas - but never thought Mt. Juliet restaurants would adapt such a practice. Lesson learned.
