The parking lot is huge and you're right next to a Dollar Tree, just in case you need to get a gift for someone you don't really care for. Donuts make me go nuts.

Tony is the guy who makes the delicious donuts. He's always friendly, and his team always has a smile waiting for customers. Although they don't have any of the specialty donuts that some stores offer, they have all of the traditional donuts you come to expect -- old fashioned, glazed, sprinkles, cake, twists, and coffee rolls. They also have kolaches (spicy and regular). I always grab my donuts to go, but there are chairs and tables to enjoy your donuts in the store. The dining area is basic and somewhat sterile, but it gets the job done. Gourmet Donuts also sells a variety of cold drinks and hot coffee if you're thirsty or need a drink to go. They sometimes sell out of donuts, but you can call Tony and he'll set aside the donuts you want. There's also a drive thru window if you don't want to come inside.

McGaugh's is your classic, no frills donut shop that is more nostalgic than fancy. The space is outfitted with old school decor, flooring and vibes. There are a few tables, a cooler, small condiment station and a counter, and that is enough! In addition to the public space, there is a view in to the kitchen, where all the donut magic occurs. Knowing what I know about this place, I was after the blueberry donuts and ended up with two of those, plus a classic chocolate glazed and an iced mocha. The blueberry glazed was the better of the two blueberry, which included a non-glazed. The non-glazed was a bit flat and also had a tinge of artificial flavoring. The classic donut with chocolate frosting was the standout for me. Light, airy, delicious and absolute perfection! While they are not known for their coffees or are technically a coffee house, I have to speak on the iced mocha...which was not great. This sounds really weird, but it tasted like how a cigarette smells. I know, really odd, but also spot on as I had someone else taste it and they said the same thing. The coffee was only $3, which I appreciated given the taste. So, it wasn't a total loss. Service was friendly, helpful and patient. Given my first visit, I took a few minutes to see what all was to offer. They also have a drive thru, which is convenient and useful now that I know what I would be after here. Pricing for 3 donuts and a coffee ended up around $8, which is pretty rad and rare, so I will take it! Overall, McGaugh's is a solid neighborhood and local donut spot! Glad to have finally popped in. Books-A-Million has been my brain break spot since the Thanksgiving break. Only on my third visit…read moredid I notice this coffee spot tucked in the back corner. There's a seating area with about 5-tables and a small snack stand for quick bites, but no actual food. The coffee selection is pretty vast for such a small cafe, but my go-to is always cold brew. The CB here is pretty decent, not bitter at all and very smooth. I do recommend getting coffee after shopping because it's a real pain in the booty to put down your books, take off your mask, sip coffee, put mask back on, repeat. Get your book(s), get your coffee, sit down and enjoy!
