Love love love! I cannot believe I'm just discovering this place and I've been in the area for 5 years, silly me! My first order was for eggs benedict, if you can make those right, everything else should be easy-peasy. I've also tried their french toast the other day and that was fluffy and tasty exactly how it should be. Today I got their lunch menu and I went with the chicken bacon ranch sandwich with fries - the bun was not my favorite - but everything else was great. Delivery usually is not the fastest, but they always let you know the estimated arrival time, which they've honored so far, so at least you know what to expect. And every time their food was hot, I even ordered a latte and that was hot as well, so that's pretty amazing. Now how could I leave without trying a donut got 1 as I stay fast to my New Year goal Almond joy Chocolate cake was one the best donuts ever even tasted like they fried it with chicken grease lol. This place is great, and they do a ton to put together a simple but really incredible vegan menu. The vegan donuts are what got my attention initially. If you've ever had Mighty O donuts in Seattle they're very comparable. It's wild to see another business in the area open its doors to vegans, make the effort, and watch their business explode while places in supposedly hipper neighborhoods just yes-chef themselves out of business sticking to regressive menus. Just visited Donut Villa Diner for the first time with my boyfriend. Wonderful family run restaurant with delicious and reasonably priced food! The best part is the AMAZING vegan menu! We had the Vegan Chocolate and Strawberry Waffle and the Vegan "Chicken" and Waffles and they were both so great!! They have vegan donuts as well but were already sold out by the afternoon on Saturday. Absolutely worth the visit. Even during COVID times, they have socially distanced tables under a tent outdoors. Hence I rated them 4 Star now. Thank you for acknowledging and understanding. Previous review- This place should not get one $ rating, it's actually $$ rate. It's expensive for what they serve. I went in for a regular breakfast sandwich, and they said if i want it on a bagel or a muffin they charge extra, if you want sausage or bacon it's additional $4.50 each. So I asked them to put sausage on one and bacon on other with egg and cheese. My 2 tiny breakfast sandwiches (checkout the photos) with egg and cheese costed $15 (I gave them a tip of $2, coz that's what I do)!!!!!!! My sandwiches were not that extra ordinary either, just plain old breakfast sandwich. It's not even a fancy place, its a walk in diner. Should've gone to Dunkin Donuts. read more

Overall great experience dining here. Came here on a Saturday at 11:30 am. The place was full but we were seated within 5-10 minutes. I ordered the lox bagel which tasted great (though I wish it had a bit more lox, and I was charged an extra $2 for the onions and capers). My partner had the donut burger which he says was very good. We also ordered the Boston cream pancakes for the table which were fantastic! Our server Felice was super nice and welcoming. The staff here are very attentive, frequently coming to refill coffee and check in to ensure we had everything we need. Would definitely come back. Vegan donut was excellent - lemon blueberry just wonderful. Vegan egg sandwich very good but a little small and didn't come with anything on the side like home fries or fruit so presentation was a little lacking. Also English muffin wasn't toasted well enough. However hubby disliked everything so unfortunately we will not be back. He ordered eggs Benedict with ham, corned beef hash, and home fries. I tasted the home fries and agreed just okay. Not enough sauce on eggs Benedict. Also I originally ordered vegan Mac and cheese but they did not have any vegan cheese sauce on a Sunday afternoon which is when you would think they would be best prepared. But maybe they ran out Too bad because their vegan menu is huge but they just don't seem to put a lot of attention to the quality of their food. Except the donuts. That was to die for! read more

Another hidden gem! By far one of the best breakfast places around the Everett/Malden/Medford area. The food is great! The donuts are to die for... only draw back is that it can get pretty packed depending on what time you go and the donuts go fast. Other then that, I highly recommend giving this place a try. Found this place and it's in what seams like a very old shopping mall the donut shop was a small place in that mall. Walked in and it's Sunday and the place is full and I had to wait only a few minutes. The staff was all super nice and one guy said mom to the waitress giving me the idea it's a family place. I had great service and an eggs Benedict, they have 3 I just had a regular one. So it was cooked perfect with warm potatoes. The one star killer was the "diner" coffee just not good I would pay .50 cents more for better coffee and if I ate a donut I would for sure pay the extra. Nice place read more

Very convenient location & love that they offer lox (smoked salmon) on the menu but the longtime waitresses are a bit brusque especially if dining alone. They seem nicer to parties of 2 or more. Nevrtheless, the food & coffee are quite good & I love diner fare. Also, surprisingly, it is one of the few diners that has almond milk so I do appreciate that choice. I stopped in here to get breakfast for myself and donuts for my coworkers Monday and I'm so glad I found it. Service was friendly and quick. They have a large variety of options on their menu. I had the breakfast burrito which was nothing spectacular but it was good and I was happy with it. The donuts were reasonably priced and while some weren't great (chocolate coconut was very dry) some were amazing (honey dipped and classic). I will say they have some donuts that are "premium" and cost extra, but they don't have posted that I saw which ones those are. I avoided the ones with bacon and things like that to avoid the extra cost but when I got my receipt saw the blueberry donuts were considered premium and I was charged extra? They should really have the extra cost listed next to the name of each donut. read more

Maybe the greasiest donuts in Greater Boston. And that's most definitely not a bad thing. I just means that you've got to get there early (they open at 5:30 a.m. weekdays), before the sog sets in. And if you do, and you hit just the right mix of crisp and rich on a butternut or a honey dip, you're happier than a duck in muck. If you don't, you've got a mouthful of congealed grease and sugar. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. For the record, their raised donuts lose their luster even faster than the cake-styles, with the chocolate frosted going from "the richest, most perfectly fried ring that's gone down my series of tubes in a while" to "Johnnie's FoodMaster" in the time it takes for me to jog the 2.1 miles back to my apartment and delude myself into believing I've somehow earned donut #3 for the day. 2.1 miles, coincidentally, is also exactly how far I have to run to get to Donuts with a Difference and Verna's. They're both probably better options, though if you're a fan of old-school donuts like those on offer at Twin Do-Nuts in Brighton, you'd probably be down with the Villa. read more

I love lemon everything, so I went up to order that donut, but ended getting a dozen donuts instead. I love donuts and it was hard for me to resist. From what I remembered, I got the honey dipped stick, boston creme, jelly stick, jelly donut, honey dipped, and a lot more. I wish I could give a review on all the donuts, but I ended up giving the box of donuts to my family as a new years gift and kept the lemon filled donut for myself - which was very fluffy and good! Grilled Coffee Roll - MUST GET; comes with a lot of butter (yesss butter!), grilled so that it is crunchy on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. I highly recommend this and wish I could eat it right now. The smell is amazing and it is pretty big too Steak and Cheese Omelette - Wow this was filled with a lot of steak and cheese; so yummy and so worth the money you pay for (very cheap). Comes with homefries - ended up having this for leftovers a couple days later and it was just as good! Hangover Burger - Really really need to get this. I can't ever resist a burger with a runny egg, so this is a must-get if you are a fan of that. Honestly the perfect hangover burger. I've ordered twice and their consistent quality, great selection, careful packaging, and value have won me over in comparison to other local donut shops. Two donuts will fill you up. $1.89 each for basic donuts, $2.89 for 'fancy donuts' (maple and bacon, oreo, hazelnut, etc). $8.99 for a half dozen, plus any premium fee ($14.99 for a half dozen of all premium donuts for example). I generally don't like maple and bacon donuts, but like them here. Bacon is crispy and caramelized. Donuts still taste fresh and fluffy at 6pm the same day. Credit cards accepted.
