Man, this was a quaint little cafe that we almost didn't go to but are glad we did. There was a bit of a wait for a table on a Saturday mid-morning (for 2) but in the end it was worth it. The wait staff was one of the most friendly in recent memory and they gave us free monkey bread to get us started (and that was a great start in my book). I got The Benny, corned beef hash and biscuits in gravy. I judge the place by their gravy. If the gravy is good, it's a legit place. The biscuits and gravy were to die for. Super tender corned beef, tender crisp potatoes perfectly balanced with onions and peppers. Topped with eggs and green chili. Also had biscuits and gravy.. Just delicious! They bring a generous sample of monkey bread to your table like an Italian restaurant would bring bread. Nice touch. Here's the thing though.. Even if the food hadn't been amazing, which it was, I would go back just for Derek. Seriously! I've been in customer service for over 40 years and he is top notch.
